GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located; you can easily find it by turning left into Fuyuan after entering through Yongtai East Gate. The rooms are equipped with smart amenities, though the absence of a magnifying makeup mirror was a minor inconvenience for someone with poor eyesight like myself. The hotel boasts modern decor, excellent hygiene, and convenient parking. We had to leave early for the Yungang Grottoes and unfortunately missed breakfast.

GGuest UserLocated right in the heart of the ancient city, this hotel is a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The room was spotless and exceptionally well-appointed, featuring premium toiletries, an electric toothbrush, a Dyson hairdryer, and even a smart toilet. The entire courtyard is incredibly charming, offering a true taste of traditional Shanxi architecture. Breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight, and even when it poured rain on the second morning, we enjoyed a unique experience having breakfast under an umbrella. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and approachable; we could even communicate with them easily via WeChat. My only minor point of feedback is that the duvet felt a bit too thick for summer; we were still quite warm and sweating even with the air conditioning on. However, this might just be a personal preference. Overall, this place is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Datong who's looking for a unique and memorable accommodation experience.

PPSOCWe were warmly greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, making us feel welcome right away. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the team went the extra mile to help us register on their app as we are foreigners, ensuring we could easily access Wi-Fi and contact them if needed. We had called ahead to request a humidifier and air purifier, and were pleased to find them already prepared in our room when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the inclusion of an electric toilet with a heated seat was a thoughtful touch, especially during the winter season. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and sincere in their service, always making sure we were well taken care of. We initially planned to stay from 6/12/24 to 8/12/24 but felt so at home that we decided to extend our stay for an additional two days. A big thank you to the team at Mecure Hotel for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Me and my Husband had agreed this is best hotel in our 17 days China trip. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning in the future. Great job!

Room felt spacious and luxurious and was sunny and mostly quiet during a very busy holiday period. Hotel restaurant was also delicious with good service. We ate there twice. We also had breakfast everyday of our stay. Very nice quality including lots of local ingredients and choices was fantastic! The hotel is so conveniently located in the ancient city. Walking distance to a really nice cafe with great coffee, lots of restaurants and all the main attractions including pop up laneway markets selling ancient treasures. Honestly, it’s a fantastic hotel and felt worth the price. And the free room upgrade also includes breakfast and check-out at 2pm! Very ok! As someone who has high requirements for a hotel, I think this hotel is OK. It's not far from the high-speed rail station and takes a 10-minute taxi ride to Xincheng.

I stayed for three days and I enjoyed the comfortable and spacious room with its soft floor, the adjustable illumination and the goodies which I received daily as well as the breakfast buffet, which included a variety of Chinese food, salad, fruits, toast, cornflakes, little cakes and freshly made noodle soup.
