As a solo traveler, I was a little apprehensive before my trip, secretly hoping there wouldn't be any unpleasant surprises, but it turns out I worried too much. This place boasts an excellent location in Wulong Alley, with beautiful surroundings that are safe and comfortable, and fully equipped facilities. Because it's not right next to the busiest snack streets, it's very quiet at night, allowing for a truly restful sleep – huge thumbs up! It's close to the North City Wall and convenient for visiting attractions like Huayan Temple, Daiwangfu, and the Nine Dragon Screen in the ancient city. It was also easy to reach all the eateries on my must-try list, such as Longjuxiang, Zini 369, Heshengcai, and Xijindao Snacks, and I managed to check them all off! I passed by Kuixing Tower and its wishing doll countless times; perhaps it was fate, haha 😄. For those who are too lazy to even walk a kilometer, there are shared bikes available. The owner is incredibly welcoming; they contacted me half a day in advance, added me on WeChat, and waited for me at the entrance. They went over all the important details and even asked about my breakfast preferences for the next day. The breakfast itself was perfectly portioned, exquisite, and nutritious. This place exceeded my expectations, another big thumbs up! Choosing this accommodation has made me even more excited for future solo travels. I hope the owner's business thrives, and I look forward to returning with my child and family sometime in the future for another visit.

We had such a lovely stay in Datong! The hospitality here truly exceeded our expectations. The host was incredibly friendly, caring, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They even offered to do our laundry while we were out sightseeing, and folded everything neatly after it dried — such thoughtful service. They also helped us order food and gave great recommendations, which made our trip so much easier. The room itself was surprisingly high tech, with a fun sound control system that made the stay even more enjoyable. Although the room is on Level 2 with no lift, the host kindly carried our luggage up during check in and brought it down again when we checked out. Their helpfulness really made a difference. Breakfast was lovely — nutritious, tasty, and just the right kind of start before heading out to explore. Overall, we felt very welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Datong.

This five-star review isn't something the hotel front desk asked for, it's genuinely from the heart! When I was choosing a hotel, I was torn between the Garden Hotel and this one, but the moment I stepped into the room, I knew I made the right choice! 1) We arrived at the hotel at 11 PM on a Friday. We had originally booked the cheapest tatami room, but the front desk staff immediately upgraded us to a superior king room, which had a window! Compared to some other branches of the same chain (Quanji), the room size was quite generous. 2) On the night we checked in, the front desk gave us a big bag of fruit! Compared to other Quanji hotels, they were incredibly generous. Our whole weekend experience in Datong was fantastic; everyone here is so genuine. 3) The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, especially compared to other Quanji hotels. The dishes changed daily, and there was plenty of meat! The restaurant staff were constantly tidying up the food and wiping down the serving pans, so the hygiene was meticulously maintained. 4) The hotel front desk also had beautifully designed and thoughtful guide cards, which were genuinely useful when we visited the ancient city. 5) The location is convenient, quite close to the ancient city, and there are several shopping malls right across the street, which is very handy. Overall, I highly recommend it – choosing this place is the right decision! 6) The cleaning staff were also very thorough and enthusiastic! Seriously, everything here is done so well! Choosing this place is definitely the right call, and I'll choose it again next time I'm in Datong!

The location is superb, right within the ancient city. For those driving, parking is available at the Nine Dragon Wall parking lot, just a 100-meter walk away. Despite being in a tourist area, it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Guandi Temple is also conveniently located nearby. The service was excellent, and breakfast was quite good too. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Although the May Day holiday prices were significantly higher than usual, the convenience made it completely worthwhile. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the city center, making it easy to get to both the ancient city and commercial areas. Parking was also convenient for those arriving by car. Great value for money! The rooms were clean and tidy, with a good separation of wet and dry areas. The soundproofing was also decent. The butler was warm and patient, always ready to answer any questions, which definitely enhanced our positive impression of Datong.

The host was very nice, understanding our needs in advance and personally picking us up from the parking lot to help with our luggage. The room was clean and hygienic, the bathroom was very large, and the toiletries were of good quality. The guesthouse is located in a residential area with antique-style buildings, mostly run by guesthouses; currently, parking is available on the roadside outside the complex. There are many restaurants nearby, but getting breakfast isn't very convenient. The old town center is about 1.6 kilometers from the guesthouse.

Vienna 3 Best Hotel (Datong Branch) offered an excellent overall experience. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. The room was clean and tidy, with a cozy and comfortable decor. The bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was also quite good. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient. The facilities are comprehensive, and it offers great value for money. I was very satisfied with my stay and highly recommend it to everyone.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is the right place to stay when visiting the Hanging Temple and Jin Temple. The room and bed are large, especially suitable for bringing children. It is no problem for a family of three to stay in a big bed. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The breakfast is also very good. Overall, it is very cost-effective.

The hotel has very spacious and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is only Chinese, but rich and plentiful. We can't comment on the location because we always took taxis to the attractions around Datong (the wooden pagoda, hanging monasteries, and the Yungang Grottoes), but right next to the hotel are plenty of restaurants and places to grab a quick bite. The staff seemed helpful, but no one spoke English, so we had to use a translation app, which wasn't always accurate, and communication was somewhat hampered.

📍The guesthouse is located opposite Shanhua Temple in the scenic area, a 5-minute walk from Huayan Temple on the antique street, and only a 10-minute walk from the Southeast Yi Cultural Street, which is extremely popular in summer. Nearby are famous restaurants like Datong Restaurant, Zini Garden, and Longjuxiang Restaurant. The location is incredibly convenient. 🏝️Most importantly, local delicacies known only to locals are also nearby (a huge attraction for foodies). The Tianxia Squid restaurant downstairs is a 20-year-old establishment. The grilled skewers across the street and the boiled skewers next door still have queues even in winter. There's a series of food stalls nearby; fewer stalls in winter, but they're incredibly popular in summer! 📸I usually stay in hotels, but this time I chose a guesthouse, and I was surprised by how good the facilities were. The room had underfloor heating and air conditioning, so it wasn't cold at all in winter. The whole place has a Xiaodu smart home system and a Xiaomi projector (my sister and I watched ”The First Half of My Life's Happiness” together in bed). We stayed on the third floor, and although only the standard twin room was left, I could see Seonhwa Temple as soon as I opened the curtains in the morning. Starting the day with the sunrise was a wonderful experience. Other room types also had private hot springs. I really loved the design style! 🚅
