"The location is quite good, very convenient for taking public transport. The room is small, but it has everything you need, and the little balcony is very comfortable. The surroundings are very quiet, as it's a residential area. The room is a bit old, and the hallway is quiet, but the floors feel too thin between levels; you can hear chairs being dragged around. There's no noise at night though. The front desk staff are friendly. You can refill free water daily."

"Facilities: Standard business setup, has everything you need, including disposable slippers. Cleanliness: The bedding was clean and tidy. Environment: Very close to the train station and the city center, both within walking distance. If you're coming from the airport by tram, you can get off at the ROSSELLI stop, which is directly behind the hotel. You don't even need to cross any traffic lights; just follow the map to the hotel. If you get off at the train station, you'll have to drag your luggage over cobblestones, which is quite a workout for your arms. Service: The staff were all very friendly, and attractive too!"

"Despite being a 3-star hotel, it's one of the rare hotels where you can receive 5-star service, breakfast, and attention. We extend our sincere thanks to the young lady at the reception desk who addressed and resolved our issues from the moment we arrived; to Antonio and Maddelena, who worked tirelessly in the dining room, keeping the breakfast variety fresh and vibrant, turning it into a feast that satisfied our eyes, hearts, and stomachs; and to the cleaning staff who meticulously took care of our room and addressed any deficiencies. They made us feel more like we were at home than in a hotel. The hotel's proximity to the city center and tram station also makes accessing everything very easy. You can reach the hotel from the train station by tram in 5 stops, and you can also walk to the nice restaurants and sights in the city center. The staff were super friendly and always smiling, giving great local recommendations. "The hotel's location is excellent, right across the street from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station. It's incredibly convenient if you're traveling by train, and you can easily walk to all the major attractions. Right next door, there's a very famous Florentine steakhouse that's packed every evening. Plus, there's a Carrefour Express supermarket nearby, which is handy for picking up water and other essentials. The breakfast is incredibly varied and a huge highlight of this hotel. There's a wide selection, and you can certainly eat your fill. The restaurant's design and ambiance are also lovely, similar to a sunroom, creating a very elegant atmosphere. The front desk staff were quick to resolve an issue. Initially, my room's bathroom had an unpleasant odor. After I reported it to the front desk, they immediately moved me to another room on the spot. This new room was even larger, and the bathroom was more spacious. Their toiletries are from a local skincare brand, and the soap and body lotion, in particular, are very moisturizing. On the downside, the bathtub drainage was a bit slow."

"This hotel is a renovated old building, and the ceilings must be at least four meters high, giving it a 'new wine in an old bottle' kind of feel, which is absolutely fantastic. The location is also great; you can walk to the Duomo, and it's less than a kilometer from the train station. The rooftop bar has reasonable prices, and on the day I arrived, I actually won a free drink – what a lucky draw! The hotel also offers free laundry, which is a huge plus. Just a few hundred meters from the hotel is Piazza della Libertà, which isn't crowded with tourists and is definitely worth a visit. If I come back to Florence, I'll definitely stay here again."

MMarcos 305Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets. Breakfast Experience The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right. The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. One Minor Issue The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate and well-equipped. It was very clean and promptly serviced. The front desk staff enthusiastically explained all the details: breakfast, key card, routes to major attractions, etc. I really appreciate it! The breakfast was fantastic! The lovely ladies on the breakfast team greeted everyone warmly, made coffee, and worked diligently and efficiently. Thumbs up! On the last day, I left my luggage at the hotel and picked it up in the afternoon before catching my train. When I picked up my bags, the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and even told me there was a restroom downstairs I could use. It's true that finding restrooms outside can be difficult! Ousman, the friendly guy, suggested I write down my feelings and share them with others, just writing whatever came to mind. I think he's right; others might need honest information. I spent some time choosing a hotel before I came, and it seems I made the right choice. Thanks again, I really enjoyed this trip! 😀😀

GGuest UserIt's in a great location, 7 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Ufutzii Museum, but it was hard to find because there was no hotel sign! I was standing 10 meters away, but I couldn't find it even after walking back and forth, so I asked a nearby hotel staff member, who pointed to a small door and said, ”It's right there.” I pressed the intercom, had it opened, went up to the third floor, and finally checked in. The room was cute, and when I told them I was leaving early in the morning, they were flexible and said, ”I can make breakfast at the breakfast shop and have it delivered the day before.” There was a shower, a refrigerator, and bottled water for the bed. If you leave the room and go up one level, there is a shared terrace with a view of the roofs of the ancient city. If the check-in goes smoothly, it's a great place to stay.

Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down. Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

GGuest UserI stayed with my aunt and my friend for 2 nights recently; we had 3 beds in the same room, 1 single and 1 double. The hotel had basic amenities - private bathroom which was a little small for me and a TV in the room. We didn't notice a kettle in the room but to be honest, we weren't really bothered since we had paid for the hotel breakfast. The breakfast had small selection of hot food: eggs and sausages were really good. The coffee machine wasn't working properly but the staff did everything they could to provide espressos for the guests. Speaking of the staff, they were so kind and amazing, The 1st staff we saw was kind enough to mark the local/popular attractions on the map and give us some guidance on what to do and where to go. They also gave us this incentive where we all got free breakfasts for the 2nd day after signing up to the hotel account (or something like that). The only major con about the stay was that our room was located right next to the elevator and it was noisy all morning and late at night so please if you can, ask for a faraway room!
