"Aside from the price, there's nothing wrong with it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly team and offered welcome drinks. The host then took us on a tour, explaining the various facilities, the restaurants, and the dress code. We were given complimentary rum punch in our room, and coffee and tea were provided free of charge. Because our flight wasn't until 11 PM, and it was off-season, we asked the front desk, and they gave us a free late checkout until 6 PM. The service was impeccable. If you were wondering around the hotel, a staff member would come and ask if you needed any assistance. The only downside was that it was winter, and the wind was strong, so many sea activities were canceled. However, this didn't affect the beautiful scenery at all. In the morning, we were treated to a stunning sunrise."

"This hotel boasts a vast area, complete with two golf courses and stunning sea views. The staff are friendly and numerous. The laundry service offers excellent value for money; for just 3000 Mauritian Rupees, you get unlimited washes in one go, regardless of how many items you send – a very reasonable price for a five-star hotel. The buffet dinner is highly recommended, offering a wide variety of dishes. Food is categorized by region, with Indian, Italian, and Asian cuisines, among others. A notable feature is that cold items like salads, desserts, and cheeses are stored separately in a refrigerated room, ensuring their freshness. The Coco Banana Boost Mojito at the bar is definitely worth trying. The spa prices are also quite affordable; a 90-minute essential oil massage costs around 5000 Rupees, which is very good value for a hotel. After check-out, you can still relax in the hotel lounge, which provides complimentary water and biscuits, along with restrooms and showers, making the overall experience very comfortable. In summary, I highly recommend staying at this hotel."

"An excellent stay, marred by a disappointing incident. Beautiful setting, attentive staff, impeccable service. We were so charmed that we wanted to extend our stay. That's where things got complicated: due to a date error, the manager asked us to immediately cancel the reservation on this platform. The cancellation was confirmed to us on-site by the platform and the hotel staff, only to be refused the next day, with no refund from the hotel. A regrettable incident, all the more surprising from an establishment of this quality. We hope for a swift resolution and will update this review accordingly."

"A good hotel with a beautiful and well-designed area. A spacious beach where turtles swim. Breakfast is quite uniform, but there is everything.  Convenient entrance to water, beach clean. You can take a cayak for rent free. Defects: lunch and dinner are expensive if not all on. The hotel is quite old.  In general, we liked: A picturesque beach, a benign staff, lucky to see turtles in the ocean."

"The St. Regis Hotel has excellent facilities and a beautiful design! They thoughtfully provided festive greetings and small gifts on Chinese New Year's Day! They even gave us greeting cards on New Year's Eve! They also had a lion dance performance at the hotel that evening, but unfortunately I was out too late to see it! The staff all said ”Happy New Year” to each other. [Grinning face emoji] The rooms are on the first floor, and right outside the door is green space, beach, and seaside. You can sit on a lounge chair and enjoy the beautiful waves! There's a small tub filled with water outside the room with a long-handled wooden ladle for rinsing your feet – a thoughtful design! The St. Regis Hotel has 172 rooms, so it's quite crowded and a bit cramped compared to the more spacious and comfortable villa hotels I've stayed in before, but overall it was still fantastic! A special thank you to the hotel for providing beach sandals (flip-flops). The straps didn't rub at all, which was very nice! My sandals broke, so I relied on these flip-flops for the entire trip around Maori! Be careful as the soles can be a little slippery when it rains!"

"The hotel itself is quite good, a standard five-star property with excellent hardware and good service, located right by the sea. In terms of location, it's a bit far from the main attractions, and there aren't many shops or restaurants outside the hotel, so you're pretty much confined to the hotel premises. Every room is a sea-view room, and overall, the rooms are lovely. The front faces the ocean, and the back has a garden where many little yellow birds have built nests. The hotel has several swimming pools. Swimming in the sea is also an option, though the water was a bit chilly in the mornings. The beach isn't very fine, with some rocky areas, but it's still great for photos, and the sunsets are beautiful. The hotel beach offers complimentary paddleboards and other facilities. We also booked a free snorkeling trip that lasted over an hour, where a boat took us out to the reef. The captain and crew were very attentive, keeping a close eye on my husband, who isn't a strong swimmer. It felt like they were ready to jump in and save him at any moment, haha. I had a great time with some other guests (who were white) and saw many fish, although a lot of the coral has bleached. We stayed for three days, eating two meals a day at the hotel. The main restaurant maintained good quality, with rotating menus; one day featured Mauritian cuisine, and another was a seafood buffet, where we enjoyed unlimited sea urchin. There are two other restaurants as well. We booked the beachfront restaurant one evening, and while the sunset was stunning, the Western food was truly awful. We promptly canceled our reservation at the other Japanese restaurant and went back to the main dining hall. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel; all the staff are enthusiastic, and the service is very attentive."

"Compare to Lux Belle Mare and Lux Grand Baie, Lux le morne is a disappointment in terms of service level. The structure of the buildings look nostalgic but it’s well maintained. The level of hygiene seems to be high. I love the beach which has the best on the island. But it is a shame they couldn’t utilise this. If you imagine the other two lux hotels I mentioned above are for Waitrose and harrods sippers then this le morne hotel is for Tesco shoppers. They made mistakes in billing and quality of drinks is mediocre. I can do better at home."

"An amazing hotel right on the water with every room facing the water. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Beautiful big rooms with lovely balconies. The dinner and breakfast were also really good, with a great variety and a lovely outdoor area to sit at. I do however think the cleaning staff need to take a bit more care when cleaning. We were there for 6 nights and 3 of the nights we had to phone housekeeping because we did not have towels, or we did not get toilet paper, or we did not get our bath robes… and then housekeeping took at least 20-30minutes to bring the items. The other thing was that they put a single duvet into a double duvet - so when you are sleeping there are many times when you only have a sheet and no duvet. Maybe change that. Otherwise I really can’t complain about anything. There are plenty of beach chairs and there were always chairs available and it was an amazing and relaxing place."
