Hotels with Parking in Los Angeles

Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

Awesome front desk service and staff! Just stayed over for the weekend to attend a Dodgers game. Picked this hotel because other closer hotels had a $40-$60 per night parking fee, while this one was reasonably priced at $15 per night I believe. I wasn’t expecting a brand new hotel, and it was really nice. Only junk thing was our in room fridge was either broken or not plugged in so I had to throw away a cup of fruit but not a big deal. Will definitely be staying here every time I come to town for a game.

The hotel's location is very close to the airport, with plenty of convenient shuttle services. The room was clean and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. There's a large supermarket, a burger joint, Starbucks, and convenience stores nearby, making it perfect for guests transferring flights the next day. The breakfast was Western style and a bit monotonous, but to my surprise, the restaurant had a hot water dispenser. This was very convenient for making tea or instant noodles if you're not a fan of Western food.

The AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles was a really pleasant stay overall. It's one of those hotels that's more minimalist, clean, and practical. The biggest plus is definitely the excellent location. Being downtown, it's super convenient to get everywhere, whether it's tourist attractions, business districts, or exhibition venues. Getting around saves a lot of time, which is very friendly for independent travelers. The room itself followed a simple and clean aesthetic, nothing too fancy, but it was tidied up very comfortably. It's the kind of place that makes you feel at ease, without feeling cramped or dated. The public areas were also kept very clean!

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport, running 24 hours a day every 15 minutes. When departing, you wait at the bus stop outside the lobby door 5 minutes beforehand. You'll need to load your own luggage onto the bus, but the driver will help you place it on the luggage rack. Just tell the driver your terminal or airline, and they'll stop and remind you. The hotel also provides complimentary luggage storage. Each floor has an ice machine, and there's even a microwave in the ice room. There are many rooms on each floor. I checked in at 5 PM and was given a room on the 5th floor, all the way at the end. Since it was only for one night, I didn't bother asking to switch, but dragging my luggage across the carpet to the furthest room was quite tiring, especially considering it's a 15-story hotel. They provide two complimentary bottles of water in the room, which was a first for me in my 15 nights in the US. The double beds are very large, and the room itself is spacious with a big sofa. There are plenty of charging ports by the bed. The only downside is that the bathroom isn't very big, with the toilet and bathtub being uncomfortably close together. However, the water pressure is incredibly strong! I was a bit worried after reading reviews about low water pressure, but it was surprisingly powerful, making for a very comfortable shower. I met a very nice housekeeper on the 5th floor in the evening. For check-out, there's a box by the elevator where you just drop your room key and card holder.

My wife and I visited Catalina Island for our 28th anniversary — our first time back since before we were married in 1997. We chose the Catalina Canyon Inn specifically for the pool, jacuzzi, on-site restaurant, and shuttle service. Their website is very nice and seemed like a perfect match for the occasion. Unfortunately, very little matched what was advertised. Shuttle: The shuttle was not waiting at the Catalina Express port when we arrived on the last ferry Saturday evening which was unexpected. Four of us were left waiting in the dark for about 20 minutes until the other couple called the hotel. The driver was friendly and apologized, but this set the tone for the weekend. The shuttle was consistently unreliable throughout our stay. They tell you to call the driver directly, but he often didn't answer. You'd end up having to call the hotel instead, and the shuttle only seemed to come after someone went inside and told the front desk in person. At one point we waited 45 minutes. Some guests got frustrated and just decided to walk, but the hotel sits at the top of a steep hill — not a realistic option, especially for older guests like us. Their website suggests the shuttle runs regularly, but that was far from our experience. Restaurant: We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM Saturday and were turned away, even though their website says they're open until 8:00 PM. We had to rush down the hill to find dinner to-go in town before the shuttle stopped running at 8:45. It was a shame we didn't even have time to stay and eat on our anniversary or face having to trek up that hill. The next morning I mentioned this to the restaurant owner, who insisted they closed at 8:00 and that she was there. She then told us the restaurant closes at 2:00 PM on Sundays — so dinner there that night wasn't an option either. She was very friendly though I must say. On Monday we finally had breakfast before checkout. The food was mediocre and didn't match the glowing reviews at all. The prices were also odd — $12 for mozzarella sticks, $20 for nachos, but only $11 for pulled pork sliders, which you'd expect to be the pricier item. The pricing just didn't add up. While we were there, another couple was turned away at 1:30 PM because the restaurant closes from 2–4 on Mondays. We could feel their frustration. Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi we were looking forward to was covered up and converted into a gazebo with chairs. At first we couldn't find it but yea. No mention of this on the website. Room issues: The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The front desk told us we can mention it to housekeeping, who didn't come until after 5:00 PM. We got the soap and a couple fresh towels. The towels themselves were thin and didn't dry well overnight so fresh ones were sorely needed to get at least one shower in with soap before we had to leave the next day. The TV didn't work at all, and the microwave was unplugged — though I was able to fix that myself. The hotel also doesn't offer complimentary coffee, which is standard at most hotels we've stayed at for half the price. The good: The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the balcony was a nice touch. The room was quiet. Bottom line: The website gives a very different impression than what you actually get. Between the unreliable shuttle, limited and unpredictable restaurant hours, missing amenities, thin towels, and no coffee, this was not the anniversary experience we hoped for. I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown so you're not dependent on a shuttle and stuck with limited options. I think we need to redo our anniversary. It was a miss for sure.

Staying here was very convenient. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and they were cleaned every morning. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place. So close to KIA FORUM and airport. for people who need to attend the concert is so convenient.

I was a bit worried because there weren't any Japanese families staying here and the location didn't seem the safest, but everything turned out fine. It's a bit far from Hollywood and Downtown, but it was less than a $20 Uber ride from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center (where you catch the Dodger Stadium Express), and there weren't long lines like at Union Station. So, if watching the Dodgers is your main goal, I highly recommend it! The building itself is old, but the rooms have been renovated and were very clean. Given the high prices in America, it was very reasonably priced and even included free breakfast – fantastic! There's also a Target and Ross Dress for Less nearby, perfect for souvenir shopping. I'll definitely use this place again!

Located near the airport, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service. Getting around the airport area is very easy. There's a mall and other amenities not far from the hotel. Considering the price isn't outrageous for Los Angeles, the overall value for money is excellent.

Decent option for early flights - clean, relatively nice staff, AM/PM right around the corner - a few restaurants within a 10-minute walk. The area has been cleaned up a bit. I wish the shuttle were on a set schedule, but I only waited an additional 10 minutes over the ”guesstimation” of the front desk staff the night before for a 5 AM pickup.
