Romantic Hotels in Jeju City

"Overall, it's great! The beach is right downstairs, and there are lots of people walking and jogging in the evenings. It's only a 5-minute walk to Dongmen Market and the pedestrian street. The only downsides were that there was no bottled water in the room on check-in day, so we had to buy a large bottle ourselves after dinner. There was also no bath mat, and I almost slipped after showering. The room only had 4 small towels, no large ones (for two of us, it should have been 2 large and 2 small). The next day, we hung the 'do not disturb' sign, but when we returned, there was a large bag hanging on the door with two bottles of water and four towels of various sizes inside."

"The room was quite spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Although the decor is a bit dated, it was generally clean. Jeju Island on a sunny day is truly beautiful. Every room offers a stunning sea view; waking up in the morning to see the blue ocean really brightens your mood. Right outside the hotel, there's a barbecue restaurant and a coffee shop. The BBQ was delicious, generous, and great value, and the staff even cooked and portioned everything for us. The coffee shop also sold pastries and bread, which were tasty and had cute designs."

"I was traveling with a few aunties, and we stayed at their hotel for the first two nights. Everything was great – the beds were comfortable, and the front desk staff could speak Chinese, which made communication very easy. However, on the third day, I accidentally left behind a box of medicine. It contained my auntie's blood pressure and heart medication, in one of those pretty, partitioned boxes for morning, noon, and night. We ended up spending 50 (presumably RMB) on round-trip taxis to go back to the hotel to look for it. The hotel staff said they hadn't found anything. I then asked if they had found a set of clothes, and they said no as well. That pretty much confirmed that the cleaning staff must have found it and not turned it in to the front desk, especially since the clothes were in a new bag, and I had specifically meant to leave them behind. How could they be so sure a guest didn't want them? So, everyone, please make sure you double-check and take all your belongings when you check out, because you definitely won't find them if you go back for them 😊. However, the front desk staff and management were all very nice. There was even a female manager who spoke Chinese and talked to us for a long time. My auntie said she still couldn't find her medicine, and you could tell the manager was quite helpless about it."

"After spending twelve days in Jeju and staying at seven or eight different hotels, this was by far the worst value for money. Here are a few issues: 1. The room size was falsely advertised; it claimed 49sqm but was actually only 30sqm. 2. The cleanliness was subpar. There was dust everywhere on visible surfaces. My young child walked barefoot for just a few steps and their feet were completely filthy. 3. Upon arrival, the sink was already clogged, and water was leaking from the pipe underneath, making a mess on the floor. Since it was self-check-in, there was no housekeeping service at all, making it feel more like a hostel. 4. The light switches were inconveniently located by the entrance, far from the bed. I've never seen such an inconvenient design. 5. Maintenance was clearly lacking; there were signs of water leaks, bubbling paint, and rust marks on the walls everywhere. After ten nights in Jeju, this was the worst experience and the worst value for money I had. It was even worse than a B&B I stayed in for 289 (currency not specified). On the plus side: Perhaps its only advantage is its location, right next to Hyeopjae Beach, with plenty of commercial facilities nearby. The large floor-to-ceiling window offered a nice ocean view. Surprisingly, it even had a smart toilet, and the hotel hallway environment was quite good. Check-in was entirely self-service using a machine."
