Romantic Hotels in Jeju City

"Oh my goodness, this Ocean Hotel seriously exceeded my expectations! I only booked a twin room, but to my surprise, there was another small room inside! You could even put down a floor mattress! It could easily accommodate 4-5 people! The price was also quite reasonable (I hope they don't hike up the prices in the future!). Plus, it was exceptionally clean. Although the front desk lady didn't speak Chinese, she was incredibly patient and used a translation app to answer all our questions. And it's right across from the ocean, so the views are fantastic! Behind the hotel is Chilseong-ro Street, and there's even an Aesop store! Stussy is right downstairs! The location is truly excellent for getting great photos. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jeju Island, it's really great! Too bad I forgot to take photos inside the hotel!"

"The hotel's overall environment is quite good, and the palm trees make for great photos. However, the interior of the hotel is a bit dated, though it's still well-maintained. The moderate price and large rooms are a plus, making it ideal for groups. This is my second stay here. There's a popular cafe nearby, as well as a hairtail fish restaurant recommended by Zhang Ziyi. It's also right on one of the Olle trails, so a stroll along the boardwalk in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, is lovely."

"The hotel front desk had a very kind 'oppa' (Korean term for an older brother or friendly male) who spoke a little Chinese, making check-in quick and easy. It's very close to Chilseong-ro Street and the duty-free shop, about a 7-8 minute walk. There's a CU and 7-Eleven right outside, which is super convenient, and plenty of great food options. There's a fantastic black pork BBQ restaurant nearby that many locals frequent; it's the best black pork BBQ I've had so far in Jeju Island and Busan! The hotel's cleanliness was okay, but not quite as good as domestic chains like Hanting or Home Inns. Overall, it was acceptable. We booked a family room with two 1.6m double beds, which were very comfortable. The only downside is that it's not soundproof, so earplugs are a must. Considering the price and location during the summer holiday, I'm quite satisfied with what we got."

"This hotel is super convenient! It's within walking distance to the duty-free shop, and right downstairs there's shopping, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven on the ground floor. The room even has a washing machine and kitchenware, and the balcony offers a great sea view – perfect for a comfortable stay. However, the room is a bit small and felt a little cramped for two people. All communication was done via email, which was fine as I could just translate even though I don't understand Korean. The price wasn't expensive either. The only downside is that they don't offer free cleaning service during your stay, and you have to book in advance if you want to dispose of your trash."

"After spending twelve days in Jeju and staying at seven or eight different hotels, this was by far the worst value for money. Here are a few issues: 1. The room size was falsely advertised; it claimed 49sqm but was actually only 30sqm. 2. The cleanliness was subpar. There was dust everywhere on visible surfaces. My young child walked barefoot for just a few steps and their feet were completely filthy. 3. Upon arrival, the sink was already clogged, and water was leaking from the pipe underneath, making a mess on the floor. Since it was self-check-in, there was no housekeeping service at all, making it feel more like a hostel. 4. The light switches were inconveniently located by the entrance, far from the bed. I've never seen such an inconvenient design. 5. Maintenance was clearly lacking; there were signs of water leaks, bubbling paint, and rust marks on the walls everywhere. After ten nights in Jeju, this was the worst experience and the worst value for money I had. It was even worse than a B&B I stayed in for 289 (currency not specified). On the plus side: Perhaps its only advantage is its location, right next to Hyeopjae Beach, with plenty of commercial facilities nearby. The large floor-to-ceiling window offered a nice ocean view. Surprisingly, it even had a smart toilet, and the hotel hallway environment was quite good. Check-in was entirely self-service using a machine."
