Chengdu Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"Honestly, this has to be the best hotel in the 300-500 price range around here. The facilities are great, but the soundproofing isn't the best. I think it's due to the room design – there's no real barrier between the entrance and the bed, so you can hear any noise from outside. Also, the parking lot is awful – it's tiny and really difficult to maneuver in."

"The breakfast buffet was definitely one of the highlights. There was a rich variety of options, and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the rice noodles with bamboo shoot sauce. The coffee was also good, especially the Americano. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent. The hotel is only about a 10-minute walk from Tianfu Square, the literal center of the city. There is also a nearby pet wholesale market where visitors can enjoy seeing beautiful fish, cute rabbits, dogs, kitties, turtles, and other animals. In addition, the Jinjiang River is just a 2-minute walk away, making it very convenient for an evening stroll. The only downside was that I was not given the option to select a non-smoking room. As a result, there was a slight but noticeable cigarette smell in both the corridor and the room. It was not overwhelming, but it was identifiable. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel for its excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and convenient location."

"Finally got to experience the hotel I'd been dreaming of! The room was incredibly spacious and well-equipped. We booked a family room on the ground floor which even had a small courtyard. The setup of a king bed plus a children's bunk bed meant there was plenty of space for our family of four. The kids' amenities were also a thoughtful touch – exclusive toiletries, small slippers, a play tent, and even stuffed animals – everything they could want! The children were so happy they didn't even want to leave the room. The hotel's location is also excellent, right next to Global Center and just across the street from SKP. But what I was most impressed with was the hotel's service. Despite its size, response times were very quick. A special thank you to our butler, Diana, for her attentive service during our stay, which made our family's visit so enjoyable. 👍 Next time we're in Chengdu, Global Intercontinental will definitely be our top choice again!"

"I booked the Hilton for my college entrance exam. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities and equipment are very well-maintained. The soundproofing in the rooms is good, and the happy hour offerings at the executive lounge are among the better ones I've seen for a Hilton property; the desserts are especially delicious. The in-room dining is the most affordable I've encountered in China, and the quality is exceptionally high. It was incredibly good value for money. We had all our meals and accommodation at the hotel for the three days of the exam, and they even thoughtfully sent us a dessert with well wishes. Those are the positives. Here are some suggestions for improvement: 1. The drink fridge in the executive lounge should be raised. The gap between the handle and the countertop is too small and pinches your hand. 2. The setup of the beverage area at breakfast is impractical. It should be moved further into the restaurant, rather than being placed outside the restaurant screen. Overall, this hotel is highly competitive at its price point and definitely worth experiencing."

"Staying at Huajianfu was a truly delightful experience. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Du Fu Thatched Cottage, making it super easy to visit the scenic area on foot. Plus, they serve authentic Sichuan cuisine right here at the hotel! 🍚 The French-style room was uniquely designed, and the amenities were exquisite and well-chosen. Having a balcony to quietly enjoy the views was a real treat. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the environment was tranquil and peaceful. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. They even prepared iced tea beforehand, which was incredibly refreshing and delicious! 👍🏻"

"The location is fantastic, a standalone villa right in the city center. The entire place is very clean and tidy, with a beautifully landscaped garden. The common areas are spacious and highly functional, featuring an office area, a study room, a dining area, and even a 100-inch big screen for movies and games. The amenities are excellent, and the convenience of getting around is a major plus. The rooms are large with high ceilings, so they don't feel cramped at all."

"The room itself was decent, but the duvet and pillows had a noticeable smell of sweat. I ended up turning the duvet sideways to use it. Breakfast was also pretty mediocre. The public areas are compact, but they meet the standards for a 4-star rating. Our main purpose for this trip was to take the kids to play, and nearby attractions were just a taxi's minimum fare away, which was convenient. However, it's quite a distance from the subway."
