Environment: Downstairs is Poly Time, which is considered a commercial hub in the southern part of the city, with plenty of dining options. Service: Excellent! They called in advance to ask about my arrival time. The bed was too soft, and the hotel staff immediately arranged for housekeeping to remove the mattress topper. Breakfast was rich and delicious, and the staff were very enthusiastic about preparing coffee for me. I was in a hurry for work, so I didn't have time to take photos of the room or more. It's a 3-minute walk from the hotel, which is a huge advantage in Chengdu, especially during holidays when traffic is a nightmare – those who know, know. Taxis are cheap in Chengdu, but that doesn't help when you're stuck in traffic. 4. **Decent Service:** This depends on your perspective. First, you need to understand that the front desk staff can be busy. Second, it depends on whether they can promptly address your requests. Communicating through Trip.com was difficult, but talking directly to the front desk was very smooth. The front desk lady even recommended some great food, and she didn't disappoint. I also wanted to ensure my child's safety, so I ultimately chose the Intercity Hotel. The hotel service was excellent and very professional. My child mentioned that they were given ice cream when checking in, and the service attitude was superb. This put our minds at ease. The room facilities were also great, the bedding was comfortable, and my child said the breakfast was delicious, even eating two bowls of fatty intestine noodles. When checking out, because my child overslept a bit, they didn't charge any late fees. Since my child was traveling alone, the hotel's service made us feel very secure. My immediate impression was of a clean, classy, extremely professional establishment with 1st class standards at a price ”normal” people can afford. The receptionists were warm, kind, and helpful. Two young gentlemen kindly looked up and directed me to the closest ATM, which was conveniently located maybe 5 minutes walk away and easy to find for someone like me who is directionally challenged. 🤭 The room was immaculate. The towels and robes were not only clean, but wrapped, assuring me of their sanitization. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. It was the best sleep I've had in ages. One simple feature that I particularly admired was that to-go cups were provided as all to often I'm too rushed in the morning to drink my coffee leisurely. This chain has been added to my ”trusted hotel” list for future travels."
