Posted on Jul 25, 2026|Guestroom 6-Person Occupancy (Females Only, Room Rate Calculated Per Person)
Anonymous UserI checked in on July 7th and it's been almost three weeks now. During my stay, I've experienced the Night Island 6-person dorm, the Light Island 4-person dorm, the Night Island 4-person dorm, and the Night Island 8-person dorm, so I've had a pretty comprehensive experience. Overall, it's better than any other hostel I've stayed at before.
**Location:**
It's inside a shopping mall and close to Chunxi Road. It's about a 10-minute walk to the subway station, which feels a bit far if you're lugging a suitcase, but it's acceptable.
**Room Facilities:**
Standard bunk beds. The privacy curtains are very good at blocking out light. There's a light, power sockets, and a locker for each bed. There's also a small shelf above the bed, but it's a bit high, making it awkward to reach things. The air conditioning is powerful, alternating between wall-mounted and central units, which makes for a very comfortable stay in the summer. On a side note, while the 4-person dorm has fewer people, I personally feel that the 8-person and 6-person dorms have more space and are more comfortable.
**Bathrooms:**
The number of toilets and showers is sufficient; I rarely had to wait in line. They are kept dry and wet areas separate, and there's toilet paper provided. There are coin-operated washing machines and dryers, as well as a dedicated vanity area, which is very female-friendly.
**Common Area:**
Decorated in a blue and white theme, giving it a fresh and minimalist vibe. You need to eat in the common area, and luggage and shoes are not allowed in the rooms. There's a designated area for luggage storage, and staff provide bags for personal items. There's also a terrace, refrigerator, water dispenser, and microwave available for use.
**Cleanliness:**
I saw staff cleaning in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Trash in the common areas was cleared promptly, and the overall cleanliness was excellent.
**Service:**
The staff are friendly, provide detailed check-in instructions, and clearly communicate the rules beforehand. I found the pillow too high, and after mentioning it, they quickly swapped it out for me.
**Other:**
I felt the soundproofing was decent. Lights are turned off at 11 PM, but each bunk has a small night light. In the bathroom area, after 11 PM, guests are asked to close the outer door to reduce noise, showing their dedication to maintaining a good sleeping environment.
I'd say the price is upper-mid-range for hostels in Chengdu, with prices varying by room type and time of year. Disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, and earplugs are provided free of charge.
**Summary:**
This hostel is suitable for travelers on a budget or those traveling alone who are hesitant to stay in a hotel. It's also great for long-term stays, feeling a bit like university dorm life. It's not ideal for those who prioritize a sense of space, prefer solitude, or are sensitive to noise. Overall, the sense of security and atmosphere are good, and the attention to detail is evident. If you're okay with the rules of storing luggage in the common area and changing into slippers, you'll have a very comfortable stay here.

Guest UserI stayed at this hostel on a solo trip and had a really comfortable experience overall. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and efficient with check-in. They were always gentle and meticulous in helping with small things like asking for directions or storing luggage, providing truly thoughtful service.
The cleanliness throughout the hostel was excellent. The beds in the rooms were neatly made and clean, there was no dust on the floors or furniture, and the bathrooms were regularly cleaned with no strange odors or water stains. The common lounge area was tidy and quiet, never messy or noisy, making it a relaxing spot to unwind during downtime.
As a solo traveler, I felt very secure staying here. The environment is warm and cozy, and the price is very reasonable. It's perfect for both short trips and temporary stays, and definitely a great accommodation choice for solo female travelers.

히피아지매It is very close to Dujiangyan South Bridge.
There is a restaurant on the ground floor, so it is a good place to eat.
When traveling to an unfamiliar place, there are so many things you don't know.
However, the host provided travel information, even about the smallest details, which was very helpful.
The entrance looks a bit shabby, but once you go inside, although the facilities are old, they are neatly organized.

Posted on Jul 21, 2026|Basic Capsule In A Room Of 8 Bed Male Dorm
Guest UserThis hostel's environment is exactly as good as the reviews say, no difference at all. On the first floor, there are several tables, offering spaces for relaxing and working, plus a large table that can be used as a dining area. You can order takeout and eat it there freely. There are drying racks on the first and third floors for clothes. Rooms also have air conditioning, but no toiletries are provided. You need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste for the dorm beds, or you can buy them at the front desk or a nearby convenience store (there's a 24-hour supermarket right across the street).
The front desk service at this hostel was also excellent. I stayed for three days, and on my last day, I checked out an hour late, and the front desk didn't say a word. I'll definitely choose this hostel again next time I come to Chengdu!

Posted on Jun 21, 2026|Exquisite Female 10-Person Bed in Dormitory (Memory Foam Mattress + Dressing Room + Shared Bathroom)
Guest UserThe hostel was in a great location, near the metro and chunxi road. The bed was comfortable and you have a locker that you can unlock with your room key. However, the bathrooms were FILTHY. I stayed for 4 nights and every day and every night it was dirty ( counter full of things, old toothpaste tubes, wate splashed everywhere), toilets with overflowing bins ( squat toilets only) and smelly... Was cheap so can't complain too much but probably wouldn't stay here again. Seems to be mostly a chinese crowd who stays there long term as I was the only foreigner there my whole stay.

Guest UserI chose this hostel for my trip to Chengdu, and my stay far exceeded my expectations.
The location is truly unbeatable. It's very close to the metro station, within walking distance, making it super convenient to get to Wenshu Monastery and all the major city attractions. Getting around was a breeze, and it's great value for money.
I had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the overall environment was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good rest after a long day of exploring. The amenities were also very thoughtful, with a laundry room and a gym, which was incredibly practical for washing clothes and getting some exercise during my trip.
The biggest surprise was the public area on the ground floor. By day, it's a quiet cafe, and by night, it transforms into a bar with a fantastic atmosphere. There are even live singers performing in the evenings – the 'cafe by day, bar by night' concept was right up my alley. Sitting down to listen to music and have a drink melted away a lot of my travel fatigue. I also met many travelers from different places here, including quite a few international guests. Everyone chatted about their travel experiences, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.
Overall, my experience was fantastic. It's suitable for both solo travelers and those with friends. I honestly recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu.

I stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for.
The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup.
Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind.
The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues.
Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

At fhe first, I could bot find the hotel, but I talked to the owner and she was so kind and promptly videocalled me and gave me instructions how to get to the hotel which is near to the bus station. The location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby you have a park, many restaurants, pharmacy, bus station. The hotel has some local people many of them were very friendly to me, we shared the food and sit next to each other for some time and talked in chinese. The owner of the hotel can speak English and she will give the clients the best service, she is really outspoken, caring and kind. The bathroom is public, you can share it with others, you can wash your clothes and then hang it. I enjoyed my staying, it is like a dormitory, you have your own bed, but you share the room with the others as the same gender as you.
