Guest UserFantastic stay in this hotel with spectacular view! The unique cliff view is definitely worth every penny! We have chosen a room with direct view to the waterfall. As our stay was on a Friday, the waterfall was not available which is bit to our disappointment. But waking up this morning (Sat), the waterfall is on. So nice! And so lucky we can catch the chance to take some more photos! At night, there is a lighting show in the open cliff area. So we taken our dinner out the balcony to enjoy the light show. Nice activity at night!
The service of this hotel tops all experiences with hotels. When I checked in, the staff asked if can add my WeChat account for instant customer service purposes. Then I received tips for the nearby travel spots, dining assistance, caring services such as asking me if needs to take my food delivery up to the room for me and asking if I need another taller pillow etc.
The complementary fruit platter and dessert and some freebie at time of checkout are indeed a bonus surprise.

Guest UserI've been in Shanghai for a few days, and the InterContinental Jing'an has been the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at during this trip. The environment is upscale and grand, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. As soon as you arrive, they help with luggage and open car doors. The breakfast selection is extensive. What impressed me most this time was Bella, the lady at the front desk who handled my check-in, and the very gentle-looking gentleman at the front desk โ I was a bit rushed and didn't catch his name, but I'll make sure to note it next time. I stayed here for two nights, and the experience was excellent; the facilities are all great. From upstairs, you can see Shanghai Railway Station, and it's about 600 meters from the subway, so the location is fantastic, very convenient whether you're taking a taxi or the subway. The accommodation really enhanced this trip, making it a wonderful experience. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

herbvincaMy family came to Shanghai for a trip, and we looked at many hotels. Hotel prices in Shanghai have gone up quite a bit during the summer vacation, but this hotel's price-performance ratio is still quite good. InterContinental quality is always guaranteed. It's located right by the Huangpu River; just go downstairs, turn right, and cross the street, and you're on the riverside promenade. It's about a ten-minute drive to the 'Three Piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyscrapers), the Science and Technology Museum, and the East Pavilion of the Shanghai Museum, which is very convenient. We were upgraded to a river view room on the 30th floor. As soon as we entered, we saw the cleaning staff cleaning the glass curtain wall from the outside โ they work so hard in the scorching summer heat. The breakfast was good, with a variety of Chinese and Western dishes, and the gym facilities were comprehensive. Overall, it was great, and we'll definitely come again.

WobuyuanpingdanGreat location with convenient transportation. This is an older, well-established five-star hotel in the Pudong area that has been very well-maintained. The service is professional and attentive to detail. The surrounding area has a full range of commercial amenities, making it very convenient for meetings and business discussions.

YituyidakeI recently stayed at the Ruijin Intercontinental, a rare gem in the heart of Shanghai with over 50,000 square meters of garden greenery.
The location is fantastic, right at the intersection of Ruijin Road, Maoming Road, and Fuxing Middle Road, making it very convenient for getting around. It's close to Huaihai Road, Xintiandi, and the former French Concession.
The hotel boasts two century-old brick-and-wood heritage buildings, plus a nearly century-old Japanese-style building that now houses a Cantonese restaurant. There's also an ancient well, as seen in the last photo. The historical building tour within the hotel is highly recommended; it takes about half an hour and introduces these three historic structures. You can inquire at the front desk about timings โ apparently, it's daily mornings during summer and only on holidays otherwise.
The room decor is quite vintage and very comfortable, though the bathroom isn't a wet/dry separation type.
The executive lounge's afternoon tea was excellent ๐, but dinner was just so-so. Why do they dim the lights so much during dinner, though? ๐ค
Breakfast was extensive and even included ice cream.
The hotel service was good.

bin_binInterContinental Shanghai Dishui Lake | Island Getaway, Family-Friendly Test
For a short weekend family trip, we chose the InterContinental Shanghai Dishui Lake. It boasts an exclusive and advantageous location on the South Island, with a spacious and quiet lakeside environment. The refreshing lake breeze makes for a pleasant stroll while watching the sunset. It's also conveniently located for visiting the Planetarium and other points of interest in Lingang.
๐โ๏ธ The swimming pools are a major highlight, featuring both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool. The indoor pool is constantly heated, so weather is never an issue. The outdoor pool directly overlooks Dishui Lake, creating a fantastic ambiance. The shallow area is great for kids to play in. However, the outdoor pool is subject to weather conditions and closes in the rain, so it's good to check its operating status before you go.
๐งธ The ocean-themed kids' club exceeded our expectations. It's well-equipped with separate areas for play, crafts, reading, and pretend play, offering a rich variety of activities. Kids can spend a lot of time here, giving parents a break.
๐ The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including Chinese and Western cuisine, live cooking stations, pastries, and fruits. Window seats offer views of the garden. On weekend mornings, the restaurant can get quite busy, and you might need to wait for a table during peak hours.
๐ก Minor drawbacks to consider: Its location in Lingang means it's a bit far for those driving from the city center. On weekends, the hotel's occupancy is high, so public facilities can get crowded. Some room types aren't particularly new inside.
Overall, it's very suitable for family getaways with kids. Families who value a lake view, good swimming facilities, and children's amenities will find it worthwhile. However, it's not highly recommended for those seeking the convenience of a city center location.

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay! I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a better room for free, and they even prepared a lovely little cake as a surprise. The upgraded room was much more spacious and comfortable. The cake was delicious too โ fine texture and not too sweet; you could really feel the hotel's thoughtful touch. Throughout my stay, both the front desk and guest services team were incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, with quick responses to everything. Thanks to the hotel for this unexpected surprise. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!
