We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Afford Inn! The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. What stood out most was the staff—they are incredibly friendly and caring. The food service was also impressive; our meals arrived fast and were delicious every time. All the amenities we needed were present and well-maintained. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Dhaka! My only advice is to use professional scanning machines to scan passports and identity documents instead of cell phones.
The room was large and clean, and the hotel's sushi was delicious.
However, the breakfast selection wasn't quite to the liking of Chinese palates.
I suggest adding vegetables, fruit, and jam.
Or fried eggs.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
I stayed for three nights. The nights were very quiet. The hotel is very nice, surrounded by affluent neighborhoods, perfect for evening walks. It's also close to the airport, and the owner provided shuttle service. He was very welcoming. Drinks and water were plentiful. The service was excellent. During meals, I was able to chat with other Chinese guests, which made me feel like I was back home. It was a great experience.
Good value for money, and the cleanliness is fair for the price. The location is also great, situated in the embassy district. It's just two blocks away from the bustling Gulshan Avenue, where hotels typically cost over 1000. The air quality and traffic in Dhaka, however, are really something else.
The bar on the 8th floor offered beer for 600 Taka a glass. The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a refrigerator and a kettle. We also received a welcome service of cookies and sponge cake. The shower had plenty of piping hot water, and I was impressed that the water pressure was just like in Japan. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety, even including chicken biryani. Overall, it's a very satisfying hotel.
Great, the staff were very kind and flexible. Breakfast was good, the only downside might be that it's next to a lake with lots of mosquitoes and a few mosquitoes in the room at night disturbing my sleep (keeping the fan on seemed to keep them away).
Close to the embassy area, I pass by every time I take a taxi back, and I feel safe; the hotel provides three meals a day, which is very good. The boss helped us to save food when we came back late, but I was a little carsick and wanted to eat something light, so the boss asked the chef to cook noodles for us, which was especially authentic Chinese! My colleagues ate it very deliciously! The boss is also responsive to any requests, which is really a great help for wanderers! You can let the nanny wash your clothes, and they will be neatly folded and placed on the stool at the door after washing, which is very convenient👍
Every time I come to Dhaka, I always stay at Shandong Hotel. It is mainly safe and quiet. The hotel is in a separate building with dedicated security guards downstairs. The community where it is located is also very safe. The hotel has commercial vehicles to provide free pick-up and drop-off services. Because it is very inconvenient to take a taxi in Dhaka, this is really reassuring. Secondly, the hotel provides three meals a day for free, all of which are authentic Chinese home-cooked dishes. The local meals in Dhaka are really unpalatable, and the Chinese restaurants outside are expensive. It’s outrageous. It’s very economical to stay in this hotel with free meals.

Good hotel in a nice n quite Location in Dhaka's Rajarbag area, Specially next to Greenline Bus Terminal, one can use this Greenline Bus service to travel to almost any Major Cities in Bangladesh.. Clean rooms, But only BAD thing is their Breakfast menu is VERY POOR, very disappointed, less then average, this Hotel seriously needs to improve its complementary Breakfast menu, add more hot food items.. might stay again when in Dhaka..
Hotel Shuktara provided excellent service, with clean, safe - newly painted small basic rooms but with everything you may need. Cost effective option situated in Dhaka, behavior of the staff was excellent and Shahin was very kind. Hotel staff was available if you have any questions or concerns. They were always helpful, provided small currency exchange, daily room service, held luggage after check out and can coordinate CNG or rickshaws. There is 24/7 front desk and security outside the building. Buffet breakfast was plentiful of options which varied a bit every day. Free water refills at restaurant during breakfast, water bottles provided by daily housekeeping, tea kettle and mini fridge in room, WiFi worked great. Location was good to explore some of Dhaka during the day, however it’s unadvisable to be out in the area late. There’s two restaurants in the building, Starlight provided great attentive service and was a very hygienic restaurant. I can recommend this hotel if you’re looking for an affordable budget accommodation in Dhaka.
YyamautThe location is about 10 minutes walk to the Westin Hotel in the center of the new town in the gurujan district. As others have said, there is a river in front of you, and there is a national pattern, so mosquitoes may be unavoidable. Certainly, even if the mosquitoes were closed, there was a hole in the ceiling and they came in from there. I was watching the word of mouth, so I had a spray that disappeared from the mosquitoes and pushed it several times, and then I didn't see any mosquitoes. I highly recommend it.
I booked the hotel 3 days before my trip and paid $40 for 1 night. After 2 days I called the hotel to check my confirmation. They said they didn't get any confirmation. After double checking they couldn't find any booking for me. If I go to their hotel, I will have to pay again. Then I gave them the receipt of payment. Then their manager contacted me and said that a third party agent hacked their account and they took all the payments. So they couldn't find my booking. After about 12 hours the issue was resolved. They said that I don't have to pay anymore. But they didn't provide free airport pick-up and drop-off. When I booked the hotel, it was shown that they had free airport pick-up and drop-off. However, their service was good and the room was clean. But the food was very expensive.
NNazmulMYSMy recent stay had both positives and negatives. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, fast, and very well managed, which made the overall experience convenient. The environment of the hotel was warm and comfortable, truly giving a feeling of being at home.
However, there were a few disappointing aspects. The breakfast options were quite limited and could be improved with more variety. The mattress quality was poor, and unfortunately I am still experiencing back pain after the stay. The toiletries provided were also below expectations in terms of quality.
Overall, the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere and efficient service, but improvements in room comfort, breakfast, and amenities would make the experience much better.
The location is not particularly easy to find, in the new city area, feels very safe, and has a good value for money. It is very close to the airport, and it is convenient to take a taxi. Breakfast will be delivered to the room. The staff are all good in English.
