Here's a polished, balanced, and favourable review: I had an enjoyable stay at the Britannia Hotel Coventry. The location is excellent, especially being right next to the bus station, making it very convenient for travelling around the city. The front desk staff were friendly and provided great service throughout my stay. My room key stopped working a few times, but each time the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. I also needed to ask about using the older-style shower hose, and the staff were polite and happy to help. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh towels provided. It was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a kettle, a hairdryer, and an iron, which were all useful extras. The bathroom could do with a bit of a refresh, but it was clean and everything worked as expected. There wasn't any air conditioning, although there was a desk fan next to the bed, which helped keep the room comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The friendly service, convenient location, and good room facilities made for a pleasant visit, and I would happily stay here again.

Found an excellent deal online for a single room at £26. Hotel is in an alleyway right in the middle of the town centre which is convenient. Arrived 10 mins before check in time to find that no one was at reception. Fortunately, A helpful and sympathetic housekeeper was present and called up one of the staff who said they were half an hour away. A queue started to build up at reception. After 40 mins of waiting and checking in, the key card to the room didn’t work so I had to go downstairs again which was a cardio workout. Elevator didn’t work and the place was like a maze so a lot of walking. Room was pretty basic but clean, there was no remote for the TV. Bathroom was immaculate and sanitised with a pair of two clean towels. For the price, the room was decent and can’t complain. Exactly as shown in the website images but customer service is nearly non-existent. Had to wait half an hour due to zero staff at reception. Another downside was no AC so the room is warm. Would return but not in a rush.

The hotel is perfect for tourists who want to transfer from Birmingham to another city. All equipment is perfect and advanced and the cost is reasonable. HOWEVER, the female receptionist is very rude and irritable, when I checked in with her, there’s the same name as me booked this hotel and I just double checked the days and whether I booked the breakfast or not she showed her impatience and rudeness.

This hotal was lovely we had to do a late check in after 9 clock as we got hear late but the staff service was fantastic very helpful and very polite would definitely stay hear again breakfast was a buffet breakfast help your self the only thing they didt have was fried eggs but they had scrambled egg thy had tea coffee hot chocolate machine and also help your self to apple juice orange juice lots of staff around clear area were people had been ready for other people to sit as have breakfast area was nice clear room was clear and tidy nice shower and toilet room beds comfortable had a family room with a double bed and a sofa bed .

It was a family party nearby. Ideal location. A lot of our family were booked in. Excellent breakfast. Will stay again

5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.

Really unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously. Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it. Very very very unsatisfied.

The hotel is conveniently located next to Birmingham New Street Station and right by Chinatown, offering a wide array of food options. A major plus was the air conditioning in the room, especially as I visited during Europe's heatwave. The breakfast was also very nice, though British breakfasts tend to be a bit simple.

Prime Central Location: You really can’t beat the placement of this hotel. Being right by New Street Station makes it a seamless experience for anyone travelling for business or looking to explore the city center. Modern Rooms: The rooms felt fresh and updated. As is standard with the newer Premier Inns, the ”hypnos” beds and modern decor provide a reliable, high-quality sleep environment that rivals much more expensive boutique hotels. The Service: A Bit of a Rough Start My only real gripe was the check-in experience. Travelling for business with multiple rooms can already be a bit of a juggle, and I found the staff member at the desk to be quite abrupt. I had booked two rooms and requested they be on the same floor. Initially, I was told this wasn't possible, which felt a bit dismissive. However, after I pressed the issue, the staff member did eventually check the system and managed to accommodate us on the same floor. The Verdict While the customer service lacked that ”warm welcome” feel initially, the actual product—the room and the location—is excellent. It’s a solid choice for a business trip, provided you don't mind a potentially brisk interaction at the front desk.

Clean, nice room. Close to amenities. Tram is just 2 minutes from hotel. Easy to get around places. Breakfast is not that great; variety is limiteda d especially croissant on day 3 stay is not a fresh ones and not able to split and chew. Generally it's good to stay there
