5-Star Hotels in West Java, Indonesia

This is my first time actively wanting to leave a review. I stayed for a two-night, three-day business trip. **Facilities:** Absolutely five-star standard. The hotel's design is unique, featuring two restaurants (Asian and European dining styles, two breakfast options) + 1 club. It boasts a waterfall pool, a three-room gym, a park, a lawn, a stage, and independent succulent and fruit/vegetable greenhouses and planting areas. **Service:** The staff are enthusiastic, and the service is top-notch – truly impeccable. **Location:** Situated on the north side of the city, about a 30-minute drive from Padang Station. You can easily visit Farmhouse Susu and Orchid Forest nearby. **Suggestion:** Provide a first-aid kit for emergencies like scrapes and minor injuries. **Additional suggestions for highlights:** 1. Utilize the fish pond for parent-child feeding activities. 2. Leverage the greenhouses for parent-child succulent planting and fruit/vegetable cultivation activities. 3. During peak season, make use of the lawn stage for live music or starlit lawn movies, accompanied by beer and BBQ. 4. Based on these additions, invest in marketing on Chinese social media platforms like Douyin and Xiaohongshu. Within six months, this place will be fully booked with Chinese guests.

I unfortunately booked an executive suite. Firstly, its location was inconveniently far from the elevator, and it seems all executive suites across all floors are situated in the same corner spot. The suite was definitely overpriced for its small size, and the layout was poorly designed. Furthermore, the amenities were neglected; the Jacuzzi was dirty, broken, emitted a foul odor when operated, and even expelled debris. I reported this to the front desk, and they moved me to another suite, but it had the exact same problems. I absolutely do not recommend anyone choose an executive suite; it's a complete waste of money. My ratings: Executive Suite Design & Location: 2/10 Overall Cleanliness: 8/10 (though they could improve by changing towels more frequently) Breakfast: 1/10 (Too focused on Asian food, despite most guests being Arabs, especially Saudis) Pricing (Value for Money): 5/10 (Overpriced) View & Hotel Location: 5/10 I suggest they lower their prices and encourage guests to choose a standard room with a river view. They should also pay more attention to offering Eastern, Arabic, and Western food options. Finally, some staff members were notably unwelcoming towards Arab guests and made no effort to provide better service.

Tucked away in the cooler, greener side of Bandung—up in Dago Pakar—this hotel blends Sundanese heritage with modern aesthetics. From the lobby alone, I knew I was in for a treat. Wood carvings, vintage tiles, curated art pieces... it felt like walking into a living gallery. But the real magic? The view. Imagine waking up to pine-covered hills and misty mornings from your balcony. It’s a retreat above the clouds. 🚗 Getting There From Bandung Train Station: ~30 minutes by taxi or ride-hailing app From the city center: ~20–25 minutes The road winds uphill, so expect slightly cooler air the higher you go. You will feel the difference. 🎯 Nearby Attractions & How to Get There: Tebing Keraton – 10 min drive For a sunrise above the clouds. It’s a cliffside viewpoint with jaw-dropping scenery—bring a jacket and a camera. The road is narrow, better with small cars or scooters. Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) – 7 min drive Forest park with light hiking trails, Dutch & Japanese caves, and peaceful greenery. Great for families with kids or elders. Dago Dream Park – 15 min drive A family-friendly amusement park with Instagrammable spots and kid-friendly rides. You can rent an internal shuttle to explore. Lawangwangi Creative Space – 5 min drive Art gallery + café with a stunning sunset terrace. One of my go-to places for coffee and creative vibes. Cafe D’Pakar – 5 min drive Open-air dining with epic views of the valley. Come early for a spot by the edge. It gets chilly in the evening—pack a sweater. 🏨 Why I Loved the Hotel Infinity pool facing the forest 🏞️ Spacious rooms with local design touches Bathtub with mountain view (yes, really) Rooftop bar + locally inspired cuisine Peace and quiet — yet not far from the city ✨ Final Thoughts Hotel Indigo Dago Pakar is more than just a place to stay—it's where nature, culture, and creativity collide. Whether you're on a romantic getaway, a creative workcation, or a family staycation, this place delivers on all fronts.

The room was quite good, and I was very satisfied with the hygiene. The service attitude was excellent, and the breakfast had a good variety. We stayed in room 01, which had two glass walls, offering fantastic natural light and views. However, the motorcycle noise outside was quite loud. Booking in advance was very cost-effective.

I'm already looking forward to coming back to this Hotel. Spacious updated rooms and the open concept of the hotel was beautifully done. The staff was very helpful with everything I asked and that sure makes your stay relaxing. I was there to enjoy a golf tournament at Gunung Geulis which is right next to the hotel. The Gunung Geulis courses are beautiful and challenging. The first hole on the west course will take your breath away with how beautiful it is and it sets the stage for how challenging you day will be. The hotel is equal in how its set in the high hills of Bogor.

Pullman Bandung Grand Central is one of those places that quietly reminds you what good hospitality feels like. From the moment I arrived, there was a sense of calm professionalism that made everything flow easily. The lobby was bright and elegant without feeling distant. The staff were attentive and warm, not in a scripted way but genuinely present. That kind of energy sets the tone for the whole stay. The room was spacious, modern, and peaceful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the view opened to the city and the hills, and at night the lights of Bandung felt almost poetic. After a long day of meetings and movement, it was the perfect space to slow down. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection and a touch of local flavor. Sitting by the window with coffee in hand, watching Bandung slowly come alive, became one of my favorite moments each morning.

It was pretty decent, but because it's new, the service isn't quite up to par yet. I got a room at the very end of the hall, and there was still construction going on, so it was noisy with the workers. Also, the bathroom door in my room was hard to close, so I had to call maintenance and waited 1.5 hours for them to fix the door. There was no offer to move me to another room, so a lot of our time was wasted. Other than that, it was okay. The staff was so-so, not very proactive. The bellboy wouldn't grab our luggage unless we asked. Maybe it's because it's new, hopefully, they can improve.

We had a truly outstanding experience at this hotel, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and we were made to feel welcome right away. The room was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail—from the lighting to the amenities—made the stay feel both luxurious and relaxing. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The common areas were beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere throughout the property was calm and inviting. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh, varied, and delicious, with plenty of options to suit different tastes and dietary. Overall, this hotel delivers exceptional service, comfort, and value. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, stress-free experience.

Good place for staycation with loved ones. As we celebrate anniversary, hotel arrange small decoration on the mirror and give us anniversary cake. Location superb good, breakfast have a lot of selections. We enjoy the evening pool bar and dinner at madcow restaurant. Price wise and would definetly come back!
