my son and I stayed one night here on our way back from Yangshuo and it was a great experience , i would highly recommend staying here - the hotel is in a great location at the entrance to a busy shopping street with night market stalls , opposite the entrance to the ancient city and a 10 minute walk to the moon and sun towers - all worth a look - the hotel itself is modern , very clean and quiet with spacious rooms, a relaxing lobby area and a rooftop bar and restaurant with great views over the city and to the mountains - Patrick the manager speaks excellent English and was super helpful with local knowledge and recommendations - we would definitely stay here again if in Gulin

Check-in was on the 13th floor, which is also where the afternoon tea, *luosifen* (snail noodles), and coffee are served – basically everything is on the 13th floor. I booked a king-sized bed on the 9th floor. As shown in picture 1, the view was quite nice, but the room was a bit small. Since I was with my elderly parents and wanted a bathtub, I asked the butler if we could switch to a twin room on the 3rd floor. As shown in picture 2, the view wasn't as good as on the 9th floor, but the room was much more spacious, which was great. Room facilities: Smart features, with a TV that can cast from your devices, and a smart toilet. Cleanliness: Very good and clean. Service: Upon arrival, the concierge helped us with our luggage and took us to the 13th floor. The front desk lady added me on WeChat and provided excellent service, helping us switch to a bigger room. When we went out, we asked for amenities to be left in the room, and they provided quite a lot. I got motion sickness and threw up in the sink at night. The front desk lady had an auntie come to clean, and she wasn't at all impatient, saying it was no problem. She cleaned it very thoroughly, which was wonderful! I was feeling too unwell to help my parents with the self-service laundry, but even late at night, the front desk lady was still available and came to assist. The next day, a robot delivered the items to our room door. Overall, the stay was quite good. Due to my health, I threw up several times at night, so I only had some fruit for breakfast. Breakfast: Generally enough to fill you up, but not many drink options. I mainly wanted iced orange juice, haha. Special thanks to 😍😍: The concierge, the front desk lady, and the housekeeping auntie! The front desk lady in picture 9 was amazing! I hope her boss gives her a bonus! 🍗

The hotel's location is great, very convenient for transportation. It's right by the central plaza and a food street. The facilities are excellent and well-equipped. They even helped retrieve items I left behind during checkout. Plus, it's right next to a bus stop, making getting around super easy. The hotel service is very good, and the laundry room is a real convenience.

Location: It was really convenient with lots of food & bbt options around. Sightseeing is all within walking distance. It was 20 min drive away (11am) from Guilin North Railway Station (~ CNY 15) and 10 min drive away (8.30am) from Guilin Railway Station ( ~ CNY 12). Receptionist: Anna 小安 & Wendy 小文 were very friendly & informative and shared with us on locals’ favorite food & restaurants. Upgrade Room: We were given free upgrade from standard to extra room space twin. Love it! They allowed us to check in early too! Cleanliness: The room was spacious, clean & neat. Bed was comfortable too! Cons: Soundproof can be improve, I can hear the next room kids’ sound (maybe because they were just too loud) when they were playing during the day. It was quiet & peaceful at night with no issue. Tips when visiting Guilin: Do check the weather! I checkin on 28/4/26 and it rained almost the entire day, so I had to skip a lot of my sightseeing itinerary.

Very satisfactory stay experience. There is a light fragrance as soon as you enter the lobby. It is very comfortable and upscale. The girls at the front desk are very enthusiastic. The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is also rich. A mini bar is also provided. I really recommend it. Friends who come to Hechi can choose it without hesitation.

Facilities: We brought a baby with us, and the facilities were very complete. There was a direct drinking water dispenser, a dryer, umbrellas, and even small hair clips for girls. Seriously, they've thought of everything! There's also a kids' play area, a gym, a swimming pool, and a DIY craft area. Each area isn't huge, but it's like a sparrow, small but complete with all its organs! (Meaning, small but has everything one needs). Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well. If we needed anything changed, the housekeeping auntie would come and clean right away. Environment: Opening the curtains, you can see the Li River, and there's a park right next to it. It's convenient to go anywhere, and the environment is beautiful. Service: SERVICE!!! This is especially worth mentioning!!! All the staff members had an exceptionally good attitude! We were two families traveling together, and they specially arranged adjacent rooms for our convenience. We arrived around 10 am, and since the previous guests checked out early, our rooms were already cleaned, so they arranged for us to check in early without any fuss about not checking in before the designated time. During our stay, they did their best to fulfill any requests we had. Guilin has a lot of rain, and when we were leaving, our car had a lot of fallen petals on it, and the duty manager thoughtfully helped us clean it! After checking out, the manager saw we were leaving and offered to help us move our luggage to the car! They also gave us some local specialties as souvenirs and asked if we had any suggestions for improvement. Any suggestions we made, they tried their best to meet and implement. In all aspects, it was the kind of place where you couldn't find fault even if you tried to nitpick. After we left, the auntie discovered we had forgotten something, immediately took a photo, and sent it to us. We hadn't gone far, so we turned back to pick it up. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The value for money is also great!!!!!!!!!! There's also a swimming pool on the rooftop, so bring your swimsuit!!!!!!!!!! The experience was amazing!!!!!!!!!! No exaggeration, you could spend a whole day just playing at the hotel, haha.

A lovely place for staycation. It was so serene and the view, looking at the rice terraces, replenishes one’s soul and relaxes not just your eyes but your whole body. I love the position of the bath tub overlooking the rice terraces and the nearby osmanthus trees. Morning walk along the path and seeing the ready smile of the locals was sweet. The bed and pillow are comfy and clean. Had we stayed for more than 2 nights, I would have used the washing machine in our room 😉 We had our breakfast, not much options but filling, and dinner (not included in the booking fee and the food in the menu are freshly cooked once you order) at the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel staff are accommodating. They even helped us arrange a car to bring us to and from the hotel. Free use of traditional costume for pictorial.

Our stay here was incredibly solid and heartwarming, truly deserving of its reputation as the top choice for a Chongzuo visit. The hotel's location is fantastic, with convenient transportation and plenty of amenities nearby. It's literally right next to Taiping Ancient City, so stepping out means you're immediately at the 'dagtiehua' (iron flower) performance. The hotel lobby's design is simple yet grand, with an elegant style. I particularly loved the hotel's courtyard-style design; walking in immediately made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean, with every detail perfectly handled. The bedding was soft and comfortable, making for a truly peaceful night's sleep. The room was incredibly, incredibly quiet. It's also worth mentioning the staff's attentive and appropriate service, with a gentle and polite demeanor. A special shout-out to Liao at the front desk, who was consistently patient and helpful with communication – big thumbs up! The overall environment is quiet and comfortable, with practical and complete facilities, offering both quality and warmth. I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel again next time.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel had the perfect location — close to everything yet peaceful enough to truly relax. Waking up to the breathtaking views of Yangshuo’s stunning karst mountains felt unreal every single day. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained, making it easy to feel at home after a long day of exploring. What made the experience even more memorable was the staff. Ms. Wem and everyone were incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond by helping us arrange activities, tours, and transportation to all the places we wanted to visit around Yangshuo, which made our trip smooth and stress-free. From start to finish, the hospitality was exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Yangshuo — we would gladly stay here again!

We simply loved this hotel, everything was perfect! Jessica at the reception was really kind and helpful for any question we had during the three days we spent there, she spoke a good English and helped us book our activities. The hotel location is also perfect, close to the river with beautiful landscape but also close to the city center and all the restaurants. The room was super clean and wide enough for the three of us. Breakfast was delicious with great variety of food including Guilin rice noodles. The rooftop is amazing and the free afternoon tea is very enjoyable there. We even had a little gift upon checking out. Thank you Xitang River View Hotel! A tip : wake up for sunrise on the rooftop!!
