Cheap Hotels in Amsterdam

"Booked this hotel last minute near the airport and it exceeded my expectations! They offer a free shuttle, and while breakfast wasn't extensive, it was pretty good. Plus, the staff were really enthusiastic and helpful!"

"The design is very novel, but the foundation felt a bit unstable – check out the picture, it seemed wobbly, and I honestly hesitated to book it at first, haha. However, once I actually stayed, the 7 elevators were super fast, and the room design was very interesting. The only downside was that the room walls were all concrete... The view was excellent though; it's so hard to find a high-rise hotel in Amsterdam! Breakfast offered a much wider variety than typical 3 or 4-star hotels. The hotel is about a 30-minute walk from Amsterdam Zuid Station. I'm not sure what tracks are next to it. There's also an Upside Down Museum across the street that I didn't get a chance to visit."

"The good: -The room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable. -On site parking (25€/night). The bad: -As you enter this establishment, there is a big sign saying that we need to help the hotel reduce their carbon footprint by asking the staff not to clean our room. To go with the text there is a picture of a sad looking polar bear (of course, always the polar bear). I'm wondering, if my room is not cleaned, do I pay a cheaper rate, because cleaning is included in the price? If not, I'm wondering if this hotel has joined the climate cult just because it's a great way to gain money. Make people feel guilty about having a clean room, and you need less cleaning staff , less cleaning products, less time…."

"I had a great stay at the hotel with my friend during our trip to Amsterdam. The location is very convenient, especially being close to the airport, which made traveling easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, the service and amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed our experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Amsterdam."

"The room was very clean, and the service was warm and attentive. It's not far from the airport, and the hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from the airport. When I booked, I was a bit worried the room might be too small, but it turned out to be fine. The only slight issue was the limited space for hanging clothes; with our three large suitcases, the room felt a bit cramped. The breakfast had a great variety of bread and plenty of fruit. Plus, breakfast starts as early as 4 AM, which was super convenient for us as we had an early departure."

"I was in Amsterdam for work at RAI and the hotel was a pleasant 25-minute walk away. I enjoyed the scenery along the way, and it was a bonus to catch a rowing competition happening on the Amstel River – quite a sight! The hotel's room service was excellent, and housekeeping was always prompt. The restaurant was also clean and hygienic."

"The location is a bit out of the way; it's about a 7-minute walk to Tram Line 2 and 12 minutes to the metro station. Getting to the city center takes over half an hour. The room was very simple and clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The bathroom had a partial wet/dry separation, but water would still splash into the dry area when showering. The shower gel had a unique scent (like a high-end traditional Chinese medicine). The front desk staff were not very friendly. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, and the staff preferred to chat rather than offer assistance. The employee who handled my luggage storage after check-out was very impatient."

"The hotel isn't in the city center, but getting around by metro is super convenient, and Amsterdam isn't a huge city anyway. It's a 5-minute walk from the metro station, and the path is pretty flat, which is great when you're dragging luggage. (Picture 1 shows the view from the metro exit.) Rooms are cleaned daily. There aren't any individual shampoo, conditioner, or toothbrushes, just a single shower gel, but that's pretty standard for European hotels. The pillows are quite high but not hard; I found them easy to sink into and comfortable. The Wi-Fi speed was good most of the time. I couldn't find an on/off switch for the air conditioning, only temperature adjustments. The motion-sensor light in the bathroom was a bit funny – it would go dark after a few minutes! The staff were friendly and efficient. Other than check-in, check-out, and storing luggage, I didn't interact with them much. Luggage storage is free, which is a nice perk. After checking out, there's a restroom, sofa, and charging ports on the ground floor, which is perfect for a quick refresh before heading to the airport. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so it's a good idea to eat before heading back. Although the room isn't huge, the bed is small and the layout is well-designed, making it surprisingly functional. We could open two large suitcases at once. Overall, it's quite similar to a budget hotel back home, but prices are bound to vary due to location, especially during tulip season when they definitely go up. For the price, it's still decent value for money."

"We decided to book this hotel as we had a long flight from Shanghai before a connecting flight to Ireland that would have arrived very late. It was a good choice. The hotel is perfect for this scenario: the rooms are nice, comfortable beds, nice shower etc and very restful-nicely lit. and surprisingly not very noisy despite being only a few kms from Schiphol. The staff had also prepared the sofa bed for us on arrival, which was a nice touch-one of us probably woudl have just slept on the sofa as a sofa otherwise. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was excellent. The only slight gripe would be the hallway looked liek it could have doen with a bit of hoovering, but honestly that was not really a big deal. There is also a nice bar in th elobby area plus a restaurant-we didnt; try the evenign meals on offer but as noted above the breakfast was excellent so I would imagine dinner woudl be ok too. There is a gym but we didn't try that so no idea if it's any good. The hotel was completed in I think 2014 or 2016 and it feels very modern and new. One other thing I thought was a bit off-you have to pay 8.50 per-person for the airport shuttle that takes you from the hotel to the airport (it's free from the airport to the hotel) This seems a bit petty to be honest. A taxi costs about 11 euro for the same journey so effectively the shuttle is almost the same price and if you are a group of two or more, the shuttle makes no sense. I would suggest the hotel considers either offering the service for free (they can just add a small amount to the already not expensive room rate) or just not have a service at all and everyone can take a taxi. Location wise, the hotel woudl have to be inside the terminal to be any closer to Schiphol-for this price you wonn't find anywhere better located. Overall an excellent hotel and I will most likely stay there again on the return from my next visit to China."

"The location is perfect for visiting Amsterdam - a lovely trip 15 mins on the free ferry to Amsterdam central station. Also, plenty of cool bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. However, a minus point for Hilton, if you’re a member of Hilton Honors, don’t expect to get any points - Hilton doesn’t award them unless you book through them (likely at a higher price of course!)."
