"Great value for money in Tokyo! The facilities seemed quite new and it was very clean. The room and bathroom are relatively small but perfectly fine for the price. It's a bit noisy though. Well-located in a quiet side street, a few minutes' walk from the subway, convenience stores, and restaurants. The shrine is also just around the corner. There's a shared kitchen, washing machine, and dryer available. The entrance is a bit hidden, but the host sends detailed instructions before arrival. Due to the small size of the room, it gets a bit humid after showering. A dehumidifier would have been a nice addition."

"Location: Very close to Mita Line's Onarimon Station, and the area is very quiet. There aren't many restaurants around, but it feels very safe. Room: The room space is quite good; two 30-inch suitcases can lie flat and open. The window is a bit small and doesn't open. There's a small sofa. Overall, the space is excellent for the price range of 900+. Service: All front desk staff can communicate perfectly in English, which is fantastic and completely barrier-free! They are responsive to questions and proactively provide information about the hotel's facilities. Next to the front desk, the coffee machine, soft drinks, and small snacks are all provided free of charge, including alcoholic beverages during the evening happy hour. The hotel isn't large but has a gym and a sauna. The sauna requires a reservation, offering a private space."

"The room was very new, clean, and well-equipped. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, which can be inconvenient if you have large luggage. There's a 24-hour supermarket near Shin-Otsuka subway station, as well as Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores, and even a ramen shop, making shopping and dining very convenient."

"This place is genuinely super clean. It's well-known that hotels in Japan are generally small, but this one felt more spacious than others I've stayed in. The self check-in/check-out process was a breeze. It was even cleaner than I expected, and I loved that the shower and toilet were separate. The power outlets were perfectly placed for charging my phone while lying down. My only minor gripe was having to use the communal fridge, but since I didn't need one, it wasn't really an inconvenience. The price was around 50,000 won per night, which is great value for money, and the location isn't bad either. It's about a 10-minute walk to Akihabara, and similarly, about 10 minutes to the Asakusa line and JB stations. It feels like a central spot no matter where you want to go. It's quiet and pleasant. If you're traveling alone or as a couple, especially if you're coming to Akihabara for some 'otaku' activities, this place isn't a bad choice at all!"

"Location: Situated in the upscale Azabu-juban neighborhood, it's a pleasant five to six-minute walk from the subway station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and you can even take a stroll to Roppongi and Tokyo Tower, passing many embassies along the way. Room: The room isn't huge but features a balcony, bathtub, shower, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven, and all the necessary cookware and dishes. It's incredibly convenient to wash clothes before heading out and return to them dry and wrinkle-free. This was a huge plus. The bedside charging outlets are plentiful, and the Bluetooth speaker even offers wireless charging. The TV has options like YouTube and Netflix. Service: The front desk staff speak excellent English and are very efficient. Registered members receive a complimentary breakfast set, which tastes great. If you opt out of daily housekeeping, you can get a 500 JPY voucher to use at the convenience store. However, you can still request fresh towels, trash bag replacement, and water refills. Cons: While most rooms offer a view of Tokyo Tower, the fresh air vent is located right above the bed, making it extremely noisy. Light sleepers will find this very disruptive."

"I stayed for one night. It's about a 10-minute walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro subway station, through a residential area, but very close. Before checking in, you need to pick up the key at a designated facility. Since I had plans until the evening, it was a bit of a hassle having to come to the Ikebukuro area during the facility's operating hours and then return to the accommodation at night. The exterior is a typical apartment building. It was raining, so there were puddles on the stairs, making walking a little difficult. Also, the walls are thin, so you could hear footsteps on the stairs quite clearly at night. The room was kept clean, but I was bothered by the lingering smell of garbage in the trash can itself. I think perhaps strong-smelling garbage, like instant noodles, had been thrown in there in the past. The room had shampoo, conditioner, body soap bottles, a small bar of soap, and a toothbrush set. Bath towels, a muffler towel, and liquid laundry detergent were provided for each person. There are no loungewear or lotions, so you need to bring your own. There are plenty of hangers and clothespins for drying laundry. Although I didn't use it, there's a washing machine available, so you can do your laundry. Details about garbage sorting are provided, so you must sort your garbage carefully. It's not a typical hotel, so there are things you have to do yourself, such as sorting your garbage, but it was a satisfying stay. Thank you."

"The room was a Japanese style ＋ futon, so it was good to take off your shoes and relax. The ceiling is also high. The building is built along the main street where large cars pass, but it was soundproof and I was able to spend comfortably without worrying about the sound. The only amenities in the room are toothbrushes and brushes. Also, children do not provide toothbrushes, so bring them (not sold to Maibasuketo opposite 🥲). The staff is always absent and unmanned check-in, so you need to enter the PIN at the entrance, and after entering the museum, you need to operate the key by the elevator. Therefore, when you go out of the building, you must bring a smartphone (the PIN will be sent by email) and a key (the elevator will not move without this). What should I do if I forget to enter? "The hotel is located on the west side of Ikebukuro. Be careful not to be misled by Google Maps when searching for an exit with luggage. Just head west and look for Exit C6 (which has up/down escalators) or Exit 14 (which has an elevator). Google Maps led me to the East Exit near Exit 38, and I had a tough time dragging my suitcases through Ikebukuro Station! There are station maps inside Ikebukuro Station that show which exits have elevators. The owner speaks Chinese, so communication was easy. It's the first time I've found a front desk that speaks Chinese after being in Japan for so long. The hotel feels more like a guesthouse and doesn't have an elevator. Guests on higher floors should be mindful of carrying luggage; fortunately, I was on the second floor this time. The common area has tables, a water dispenser, and a large refrigerator where you can store drinks or food like chocolate. Just be aware it's shared, so bag your items to prevent others from taking them. Unlike other hotels, there's no coffee machine in the common area, but instant coffee packets are available. There's also a microwave to heat up bento boxes. There are two men's and two women's shower rooms on the first floor, and another shower room on the top floor (4th floor). Fresh towels can be found in a bin near the entrance. There's no washing machine or dryer on-site. You'll need to walk across the street to a laundromat, which can be inconvenient if it's raining. The dryers at that laundromat seem more suited for large loads (starting at 8kg), which might be overkill for tourists with fewer clothes. It costs 100 yen for 8 minutes of drying. I chose to dry for 16 minutes and then took my clothes back to the hotel to air dry them overnight with the AC. If you don't mind a bit of a walk, Google Maps can show you another laundromat nearby where you can dry clothes for 10 minutes for 100 yen. Also, you need to buy detergent for 50 yen at the laundromat. (However, if the owner is around, you might be able to get a little laundry detergent from them. I once had some cotton dolls that needed cleaning and the owner helped me out with some detergent for a quick wash – just don't ask for too much.) The room is quite spacious, and the bed is wide. There's a small table for using a laptop or other items. All facilities are well-equipped. There are plenty of hooks for hanging clothes directly opposite the air conditioner, and you can adjust the airflow to help dry them. Upon entering the hotel, you need to take off your shoes and put them in the public shoe cabinet, which doesn't have a lock. There are shared slippers, but I brought my own as I felt the shared ones might not be very hygienic. Be careful not to leave your personal slippers in the common area; keep them in your room, otherwise, someone might wear them away (one of mine was taken, luckily I had another pair). When going upstairs, socks are fine. Near the hotel, there's a supermarket called Akashi Zatsujiten where you can buy inexpensive drinks, cheap fruits like bananas, and discounted bento boxes in the evening. It's open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 AM. The owner was very kind and helped me receive a package, which they placed directly in my room. It was merchandise from a Bandori Live event. A few days before the event, there weren't many Bandori fans, mostly Caucasians and Indians. But in the following days, many more Chinese people arrived, all carrying cotton dolls. You can email the hotel to ask for the package receiving address, just remember to include your name. Overall, this hotel is pretty good for Tokyo. It's close to Ikebukuro, making it convenient for travel, and also great for Bandori fans doing a pilgrimage. My suggestion for the hotel: Please add a curtain divider between the two public shower stalls downstairs. Currently, only one curtain covers both, though I haven't encountered two people showering at the same time yet."
