"A simple hotel. Don’t expect much as just need to a room to sleep overnight before early departure ex-XMN. As I arrived very late , no room service available, receptionist helped me order a delivery , appreciated that very much. Breakfast selection was great. Healthy choices. Eastern and western mix. I love the breakfast the best. Restaurant staff was also very friendly."

"The male receptionist is super friendly and helpful. He reminded us on all the possible traps to be avoided while traveling in xiamen. Throughout our 3 nights stays, he provided lots of guidance to us on how to place booking for boat ticket and entry tickets for tourists attraction. He is helpful in arranging house keeping and replenish the supplies in our room. The room sizeable with nice seaview. Just take note that the hotel only occupying certain floors in a building without clear signboard outside the building, took us some time to ask around and find the hotel location"

Hotel near Zhongshan Road Area,Xiamen
Founded in 1958, Lujiang Hotel is an iconic architectural landmark in Xiamen and one of the first three hotels in Xiamen established after the reform and opening-up. It has now been upgraded to a heritage-level experiential hotel that preserves the city’s culture and historical character. In 2025, the hotel completed its sixth renovation in strict accordance with cultural relic restoration standards. It carefully retained the vintage texture of the original floral tiles, complemented by elegant new patterns, creating a stunning fusion of old and new.As a prestigious historic hotel on Lu Island, it has hosted numerous Chinese and foreign dignitaries, business leaders and celebrities, including the former Queen of Denmark, Lee Kuan Yew, Anna Chan Chennault, and Angie Chiu, all of whom spoke highly of their experience. The renowned artist Mr. Liu Haisu personally inscribed the hotel with the words “A Home Away from Home”, a testament to its excellent reputation and profound heritage. As a landmark on the core section of Lujiang Road, the hotel encapsulates a century of elegance on both banks of the Lujiang River, blending Chinese and Western styles and harmonizing tradition with modernity. Every stay is more than accommodation; it is a journey through time. The hotel’s “Time Tunnel 1958” is a highlight. Within this compact space, the city’s memories are condensed. Stepping in, one can feel the heartbeat of Xiamen and touch stories that span decades.Guest rooms frame a panoramic view of Gulangyu Island. At dawn, the island’s scenery greets you the moment you open your eyes. Even from the bathroom, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the blue sea and red-tiled roofs, integrating the seascape into every moment of your stay. The hotel also holds the classic reputation of “Dining at Lujiang”. Its 7th-floor viewing restaurant is a beloved choice for both locals and tourists, combining stunning sea views with exquisite cuisine, and consistently ranks highly on major review platforms. From carefully selected ingredients to refined cooking techniques, the hotel crafts flavors with meticulous attention to detail. Beyond satisfying hunger, it lets your taste buds discover the authentic tastes of Lujiang, shaped by time and refined across mountains and seas.

"The Lujiang Hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to the pedestrian street and the 'Eight Markets' (Ba Shi). The hotel's exterior has a unique design, and while its interior is luxurious, it also retains a sense of historical charm. From the room's balcony, you get a fantastic view of Gulangyu Island. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries and hairdryer are of good quality. The room layout is well-designed and functional, with comprehensive facilities. The hotel's breakfast is highly recommended. It features a combination of made-to-order dishes via QR code and a buffet. Although the variety might not seem vast, every single dish is exquisite, offering authentic Xiamen flavors and exceptional taste. We even received complimentary pigeon soup delivered to our room in the evening. Next time I visit, I will definitely choose Lujiang Hotel for my entire stay and highly recommend it to friends and family. It truly offers great value for money. Just a small suggestion: The in-room dining dishes are really delicious. It would be helpful if the menu was placed in a more visible spot, perhaps on the bar counter, rather than in a drawer. For those traveling with children who prefer not to go out for dinner, clean and reliable in-room dining is a top choice, but the menu can easily be missed if it's tucked away."

"The pillows were uncomfortable. I asked the butler for more, but they were unprepared; for four people, we only received two pillows and were told there were no more. For such a large hotel, running out of pillows is unacceptable. During the plant activity, the small gifts provided felt very perfunctory, especially considering the hotel's star rating. The afternoon tea seemed to have shortcuts taken. I informed the butler, who said they would make it up later. Although they did replenish it eventually, this raises a question of integrity. The breakfast selection was limited, with not many options. On the second day, our room wasn't cleaned proactively, nor were we asked if we needed service. I had to request staff to come, and they only changed the trash bags and replenished the bottled water. However, I'd like to commend the lifeguard at the pool. My child got scared in the water, and their response was very prompt. My thanks to the lifeguard."

Ffernanda9The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. Xiao Bai (the staff) was very nice and upgraded us to a higher room category. Before we left, they even gave our child some small seashells, which was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the Shacha noodles, which were tastier than any we'd had in the days before arriving on the island. The complimentary lunch included in the package was also very good, though the yellow croaker was a bit small, just one tiny fish. At the end of September, when tourist traffic wasn't heavy, we arrived on the island at 11 AM. The shuttle service was perfectly arranged, helping us avoid the scorching sun. We later found out that a shuttle ride on the island costs 50 RMB per person, so for our family of three, we saved a good 150 RMB. Most of the snacks on the island were just okay, but the Dayang Restaurant was quite good. If you have the time, staying on the island is definitely recommended. You can avoid the midday sun and take your kids to play by the beach in the afternoon. Strolling around the island in the evening makes this a very high-value-for-money place. Xiamen offers a resort experience similar to Sanya, yet also gives you the illusion of wandering through the streets and alleys of a small Hong Kong or Macau island.

YYappariStory⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) is more than just a place to stay, it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. If you’re visiting Xiamen, this is truly one of the best choices: a 3-star property delivering 5-star service and comfort. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

ZzyoukoThe French-style cabinet and desk have so much character! All the furniture, including the large wardrobe, isn't brand new but feels well-made and meticulously maintained. IIain13This is a duplicate of my review for dates from 6 to 8 June 2026, as I extended my stay for one night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy. The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning. The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere. I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance. This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

FFoodTravelLife88This is an apartment located a 6 min drive to the port to kinmen. The area itself is enclosed in like a yacht club boating area. Depending on the season many things maybe closed but it's good if you want to walk along the pier enjoy nature, have a ferry or plane to catch. I am going to review this as an Airbnb style apartment. Since it is an actual apartment your renting. They were a little confused at check in giving us two rooms and having us find our visa in our passport for them to take the photos. The apartment overall is very good for a short stay with a nice view, great TV and quite a lot of space. My husband's phone was able to connect to the internet and it was very good my phone however wouldn't connect. Typical problem with non Chinese phones. Bathroom is also very updated and nice. The bed was also very nice. So as this is an apartment somethings could be improved for longer stays. 1) while there is a huge fridge they don't provide you a second key so the fridge will actually stay on when you leave. Typically I leave one key in and turn off everything manually but they said not possible. So if your staying for awhile everytime you leave your fridge will go off. 2) While there is a stove which is great there isn't any way to cook no small pot pan plate nothing. Which is strange because why is there a stove then. This is clearly an apartment which could be better supplied like an Airbnb. 3) While there is a washer which is amazing and washing powder which is a huge plus there is no way to dry the clothes. There is no drying rack, no fan and the two windows don't provide enough air for drying. There was only 6 hangers as well. 4) While it was quite clean the cabinets in the kitchen, the insulation inside the fridge were not clean at all. You could tell they had recently mopped and we arrived nearly 8pm. The ceiling in certain areas had visable black mold which could be a bigger problem. The faucet in the bathroom also was very loose. However the apartment is great and could be able to accommodate longer stays if these areas are fixed. Modeling more of an Airbnb type stay. As someone who's lived in Airbnb the past 7 years I'm just trying to help. So it you are going for a night or a week and these things don't bother you I can recommend it. For me it was great for short stay.

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier? Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish. I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view. Room was clean and nice. Slippers given. Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them. The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider. The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night. Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants. The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently. Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
