"The room was quite spacious, though the facilities were a bit dated. I was given a higher floor, which offered a great view of the strait. The hotel's location is excellent, with a mall downstairs and restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient. The electrical outlets are different from those in my home country, so I needed an adapter to charge my phone, but there's a store selling them in the mall across the street on the first floor. The hotel is also close to attractions, within walking distance."

"Of course I choose this hotel because more cheaper than its neighbor which is Swiss Garden but the slow lift and joint facilities like pools, parking and gym is the same. Plus point is there's a sofa bed that can act as an extra bed. Housekeeping still no improve since last time I stayed here. Still dust everywhere even the kettle. Too lazy to wipe? Short staff? Manager no conduct spot check? 'Asal boleh' attitude? Anyway yeah me oso no serik came here, mainly for the kiddie pool 💯. Don't forget to bring your kain sarong as the bathroom is kinda see through. If couple or family with infant then okla."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Pines Melaka Hotel and was incredibly satisfied with my experience. "The whole hotel felt like a well-preserved historical building/museum, just the right amount of modern mixed with traditional influence. Rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean, all amenities provided (and good quality). Beddings were comfortable with two different pillow softness to choose from. Staff were courteous and welcoming. "Pros: Two main advantages – ample parking and close proximity to Jonker Street. Cons: The hotel's beds and pillows are very old; the bed was too soft, and I didn't get good rest. The sheets and duvet are also outdated and definitely need replacing. The carpet had an odor. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast; it felt like no effort was put in. The fruit was sour, the baked beans had an odd smell, and the rice seemed like it was from the day before. I had to spend extra money to take my kids out for breakfast."

"It’s a spontaneous trip that we booked the room before we check google reviews. Yet we are aware of the different way of check in. Apparently it’s under awanjiwa management of the *air-bnb* style of room which is the same hotel as The pines. First, If there is choice i may direct book frm the pines , we tried once under the shore & the swiss garden same thing yet also unforgettable trip 😅 I would say hotel charge the prices will assure give the best services maybe . We consider lucky that awanjiwa person in charge is nice and responsible. We got some hicups on the check in and got settle to change another room as u can see frm photos the disaster of the first room we got i told the PIC only the bed and the sink is clean others is all dusty 😵💫 We got changed to another better condition rooms also with some stain on the table n cupboard so i had to clean myself before place anything in. Its not that bad tho, but i would say im not an airbnb guest . 😅 and its feel really weird when u stay in hotel but its like so weird u cant park in the same unit and u just dont feel u are away for a trip as the place u check in like ur neighbor home kind of feel ."

"We had a great family stay at this hotel in Melaka. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the Red House and Jonker Street. The hotel has beautiful Nyonya-inspired décor with modern touches. We loved the welcome drink and free canvas bag, and the option to customize it with stickers was fun. There are also VR games and a claw machine for entertainment. Our Superior Family Room was clean and spacious with two large beds. The projector TV and automatic curtains were the kids’ favorite features. Bathroom amenities and a hairdryer were provided. The only downsides were a short flight of stairs leading to our room, which made carrying luggage slightly inconvenient. The free parking lot is about a 5–8 minute walk away, so it’s better to drop off luggage at the entrance first. Overall, friendly staff, great location, and a stylish, comfortable environment. A very enjoyable stay, will recommended for families!"

AAnonymous UserI extended my stay for one night and both my parents and my room key card kept deactivating for several times. Imagine you need to walk all the way to the lift, realised the card is not working, then walk back to the reception to keep validating your room card. I've went to the reception the night before original check out to inform the staff. And furthermore when I am out sightseeing during the day, someone called me to confirm I am extending my stay, yet the card still kept deactivating. Housekeeping is also not done when we returned to the room at 3.30pm. We need to request them to come and it delayed our shower and our subsequent plans. Not only that, they took away the toilet mat and did not replace it and we need to call housekeeping again and wait for it to be replaced before we can take a shower. There is also a leak in the bathroom so the entire housekeeping and pipe fixing took really long. The cleaning of the pool is also done in the morning at 8.30am after it is opened, while the pool closes at 8pm at night. All the staff are nice and trying their best, but it looks like they are understaffed and could not perform their required duties as housekeeping is not done in time and the pool is cleaned during opening times. For the price charged and their rating as a 5 star hotel, the amenities and service just doesn't match. I would not recommend.

EEddy MeisterI stayed at Asiatic Hotel Melaka and booked the Family Suite with jacuzzi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a living area, balcony, and in-room spa bath. While it’s not a true duplex layout, the suite still felt roomy and comfortable for families or groups. The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Amenities such as WiFi, smart TV, minibar, and toiletries were all provided, making the stay convenient. Parking is available in front of the hotel, free but limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive during peak hours, you might need to circle around to find a spot. Location is excellent – close to major attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade). There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so dining is not an issue even though the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant. One small downside is the soundproofing; you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway. The lift is also on the smaller side, so it can get busy during peak times. Overall, Asiatic Hotel Melaka is a great choice if you want a spacious suite with jacuzzi, free parking, and a central location. It’s comfortable and good value, especially for families or friends traveling together.

The carpet seemed slightly dirty when I entered but that’s ok haha, and there was no shampoo provided in the bathroom, only basic toiletries. The blanket was surprisingly thin that I actually thought it was a bed sheet. Unfortunately, I also spotted a cockroach, which made me quite uncomfortable.

Saw a cockroach.The toilet bowl also needs deep cleaning.The chair. 🥹 • Bad sound proof - Could not sleep well because I could hear whenever other rooms use the toilets and noises from the tapwater and air-con compressor. (Not sure whether it is really AC compressor but really loud.) It is okay not to provide very good amenities but the cleanliness really needs improvemet.

GGuest UserLocated in an alley behind Hatten Hotel with Bus/coach bay (1 way traffic direction). Parking is chargable. Nearby Shopping mall - Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. walking distance to Jonker Street. Room was spacious (living room, 2 bedrooms 2 toilets) comfortable beds (2 single & 1 queen size). Bathroom was clean. No Face / hand towel provided. TV reception was weak. the chair cushions were abit worn off and dust can been seen on beams of the table. Some wood lamination has peel off and chips near the window panel. The spread of the morning breakfast was plain and simple with 1 ”live” egg cooking section. hence did not opt or it.

VVoyager@Earth.comThe location of Eco Tree Hotel is in an older part of Melaka that is now less travelled but still has many eateries. While the room booked didn't have windows because of the price, it was nonetheless spacious and comfortable. Interestingly, the wardrobe was located in the bathroom. Liked the bathroom layout though. Unfortunately it was the rainy season and the pool was closed for maintenance anyway. Did venture to the rooftop to have a peak, definitely need some refurbishment there. If the price is maintained at this level, would definitely recommend.

GGuest UserThe hotel has provided the facilities as committed in their booking-page in the acceptable condition to their customer, i.e. me. Despite it is a budget hotel only and the overall appearance is slightly vintage :D, the room, the bed/mattress/blanket, bathroom, showering water heater, etc. are still clean and in acceptable condition. Besides, if communicated/spoken to the hotel, it has self check-in option for the check-in after business operation hour, i.e. mid night. Travelers can acquire the room key/card by themselves from a locker with a provided pin code. These enable me to have a good rest after making an urgent booking in night time, travel over 100km then reach the hotel at 1.30 a.m. mid night. The attached photos show the self check-in/out facility, public drinking-water-dispenser and fire extinguisher. Although I can't expect much from a budget, I would like to suggest that the air-con in the room to have service/maintenance so that it won't produce much noise. By the way, the noise only distract us slightly from having rest. After all, based on the offered/discounted price, the room is satisfactory and recommended.
