Since 1982, Lisa's Hotel has been Yangshuo's most beloved home for international travelers — featured multiple times in Lonely Planet and once chosen as the preferred stay of French President François Mitterrand during his visit to China. Our story spans over 40 years of welcoming the world to this corner of Guangxi.
Located on quiet Furong Road, we sit just a 5-minute walk from the famous West Street and a short stroll from the stunning Li River — central enough for everything, peaceful enough for real rest.
Our 28 rooms were fully renovated in 2019, blending French retro charm with thoughtful modern comforts: Japanese smart toilets, high-thread-count bedding, soundproof windows, and private balconies framing breathtaking karst mountain views.
Our English-speaking team goes far beyond check-in. They help plan your bamboo rafting, book scooter rentals, arrange airport transfers, and stay reachable on WeChat throughout your trip. It's this genuine care that earns us a 9.5/10 rating on Booking.com — across 191 verified guest reviews.
On-site amenities include a Thai restaurant, professional SPA, Chinese and Western breakfast, a children's play area, and bicycle rental. Through our sister property Yunwu Resort, we can also arrange custom itineraries, themed parties, and group experiences.
Whether you're a solo explorer following the Lonely Planet trail, a couple seeking mountain views and quiet evenings, or a family wanting a trusted base for adventure — Lisa's Hotel has been here since 1982, and we'd love to welcome you next.
"The Yangshuo Lisa Boutique Hotel is a simple place, but a real hidden gem.
Cozy, authentic and beautifully maintained – exactly what you look for when you want to feel at home, even far away. The staff, almost entirely female, are extremely kind, patient, always helpful and genuinely lovely. Their smiles and care make all the difference.
Breakfast is excellent and generous: you choose from three dishes, but portions are large and well-balanced, both sweet and savory. I stayed in room 307 and it was fantastic: traditional tatami with a motorized pull-out table activated by a button (such a cool detail!), a relaxing atmosphere and a stunning view over the city and the karst mountains. Spotless cleanliness with daily cleaning and linen changes – always perfect. I also highly recommend the spa massages inside the hotel:
professional, relaxing and truly rejuvenating – the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Highly recommended:
a simple hotel, yes, but with soul, style and great attention to detail. A true little gem. 💎"
