This hotel is great! It's very close to the subway, making it super convenient to get to the Science and Technology Museum, Century Park, and the Maglev. There are also some small shops nearby where you can grab snacks or do some shopping.
The breakfast spread is really generous, and the service is warm and attentive.
I also really enjoyed the billiards club inside the hotel.
Funny, I took tons of pictures at the Science and Technology Museum, but completely forgot to snap any of the hotel – what a miss! Oh, and the laundry room is excellent too. I even have a photo of the billiards club!

We were visiting the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum with our child, so we chose the recently opened Yun Duo nearby. The environment is very clean, and they have robots that deliver items, which is a nice touch. They also thoughtfully provide children's toothbrushes and slippers. The breakfast was delicious too, with specialties like Shanghai scallion oil noodles, freshly baked waffles, and the yogurt was so good our child had two big bowls. Overall, a great experience!

Excellent hotel – exceeded expectations in every way. Stayed here for three nights with my 10-year-old son on a trip to Shanghai Disneyland and we were upgraded to a suite upon check-in, which made the stay simply unforgettable. The room was incredibly spacious with great views of Century Park and the Shanghai skyline. We also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The subway is directly under the hotel which made getting around a breeze and there’s a convenience store nearby that came in very handy. Thanks for making my son’s visit to Disneyland truly magical.

The doorman was very kind and helped with our luggage, which was a nice contrast to the taxi driver who didn't offer any help. However, the front desk staff was inflexible and unaccommodating; they wouldn't even consider an room upgrade, and threatened to charge us for being a minute late for check-out. On the bright side, the room itself was very comfortable, and the hotel felt new and clean. The housekeeping staff was also excellent.

German Precision, Intelligent Serenity
Rooted in German engineering and elevated by smart technology, the hotel distills minimalist aesthetics and efficient philosophy into every detail. In the room, the Delong kettle steams with the warmth of a European morning mist, while the Xiaodu smart system acts as an invisible butler. At a gentle touch, electronic curtains glide open or closed, and the Serta mattress cradles you with cloud-like support, turning travel fatigue into a night of dreamless slumber. This is more than a place to rest—it’s an energy field where body and mind find balance between German rigor and technological warmth.
Agile Meetings, Business Excellence
The meeting spaces are designed with “fluid order” as their core, breaking free from traditional constraints with flexible layouts. Independent projectors and sound systems function like precise gears, providing efficient support for strategic collisions and creative sparks. Whether it’s a grand narrative of a hundred-person training or the low whispers of a private gathering, this space uses modern facilities and a tranquil atmosphere to become the ideal stage for writing your business chapter—making every collaboration a memorable footnote.
German Soul, Social Feast
The restaurant uses the seasons as its script and German flavors as its ink, blending Bavarian boldness with the freshness of local ingredients into a symphony on the tongue. In the classic bar, the amber foam of imported beer intertwines with the mellow aftertaste of whiskey, while the laughter of Happy Hour jumps like musical notes, warming up social interactions in a gentle buzz. The coffee aroma in the lobby bar tells another story: the burnt fragrance of freshly ground beans and the artistry of latte foam provide a “quiet room in the bustle” for business talks or solitary放空, slowing down time and awakening inspiration in the scent.
Tranquil Oasis, Energy Sanctuary
The lobby lounge uses “negative space” as its design philosophy, with a layout that deeply understands the rhythm of business travel. Light gray sofas act as silent islands, receiving visitors for brief stops; the combination of greenery and warm light quietly filters out urban restlessness. Here, you can be a decision-maker refining a plan with partners, or a traveler flipping through an itinerary—regardless of identity, this space embraces you with tranquil tolerance, allowing you to find a moment of respite in a tight schedule and recharge for the next leg of the journey.
Revitalizing Body, Private Sanctuary
The gym takes “privacy” as its keyword, striking a delicate balance between professional equipment and private space. In the morning, sunlight spills onto the treadmill through floor-to-ceiling windows, where sweat dances with the dawn to awaken dormant vitality; at night, the gasps of strength training and the stretching on yoga mats become a ritual to release pressure. This is not just a workout space, but a spiritual corner for business travelers to dialogue with themselves and regain balance outside of rational work—making health the most solid confidence during business travel.
Effortless Care, Quality Companion
The laundry room interprets German craftsmanship through details: top-tier commercial equipment functions like precise instruments, with high-temperature and UV double disinfection building a hygiene fortress; the separate washing and drying zones act as a “custom courtesy” for clothes, protecting every fiber’s softness. Behind the free service lies a deep understanding of “worry-free travel”—when you arrive dusty with luggage, clean, fresh clothes are already waiting, allowing you to focus on what truly matters without distraction.

This was my first stay at an Intercity Hotel, and I initially had high hopes for the experience, as the decor and bedding were quite nice. However, my actual stay revealed a somewhat chaotic hotel management. There was conflicting information between the front desk and the main reception regarding breakfast times. When I went for breakfast at 9:30 AM, three of the noodle topping options and many other condiments were already gone, with no staff readily available to replenish them. Furthermore, despite being told during check-in that I could have a late check-out until 2 PM, I received a call just after 12 PM the next day asking if I was checking out. Besides these issues, the soundproofing and vibration dampening in the room were also subpar. When the next-door room closed its door, my entire room would noticeably vibrate, which significantly affected my rest. I hope the hotel can improve its service coordination and overall guest room experience in the future.

This is a very basic hotel, but it comes at a bargain-basement price. The location is in a quiet area and relatively close to Longyang Road Maglev Train and Metro Station, about a 12–15 minute walk away. My room faced a school, which was closed during the ***** New Year period, so it was very quiet.
The room itself is small and quite minimal. There is no TV, no coffee-making facilities, and no wardrobe. The bed has a thin mattress, which may feel too firm for some people. Only one thin blanket was provided, although I didn’t ask for an extra one. The room does have an air conditioner that can provide either cooling or heating. I stayed in mid-February, when the outside temperature could drop to around 4°C in the early morning. Keeping the room temperature at 25°C was warm enough, so I didn’t need another blanket.
The bathroom has a standalone water heater, which likely means the supply of hot water is limited before it needs time to heat up again. I was careful not to take a long shower. Also be careful, as the hot water can become extremely hot. There is no heating in the bathroom.
The internet speed is good, with a dedicated Wi-Fi router in each room. However, this was not very useful for me because many services such as Google and YouTube cannot be accessed on the regular internet in China, although it works well for Chinese apps. It is therefore advisable to have a China eSIM (anchored in Hong Kong), such as one purchased from Trip.com, to access international websites and services.
There is a washing machine available, but it does not have a drying function. I was hesitant to use it.
Staff is friendly, the front desk could look primitive though. 2 small bottle of water was provided daily.

This hotel is an absolute gem! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet, and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and professional; they even upgraded our room when they saw we had a child!
The location is incredibly convenient for transport; it's just over 200 meters from Metro Line 2, which offers direct access to The Bund, Lujiazui, Hongqiao Railway Station, and Pudong Airport. Conveniently, there are supermarkets, restaurants, and even a Hema Fresh store right downstairs – fantastic! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

Location is not far from metro station, however, there is no malls around, just some neighbourhood restaurants and small stores. Since there is no restaurant inside hotel, it's hard for business travellers to eat out.
The room is very clean, I love it without carpet! Although you can hear noise from the aisle from time to time, fortunately people just walked by.
The stuff is very attentive, no matter the front desk, the one who is in charge of the particular floor, the restaurant staff, they were all doing their job very nicely. One night there was a guy who tried to open my room door with wrong access card, i heard the door rejecting sound, went to the door immediately, one staff was already checking with the guy which room he was staying and checked with front desk with the guy's name to find out the correct room. I was impressed.
Food inside restaurant wasn't fancy but good enough to enjoy a full breakfast.
Overall a good stay in Orange Hotel!

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!
MMaria.ezI booked this hotel expecting a proper 4-star stay, but unfortunately, it felt closer to a hostel in terms of comfort and service.
The biggest issue was the room temperature. The AC only works for cooling — even in cold weather. The receptionist told us at check-in that there’s no heating. I was traveling with my son, and after a freezing night, he got sick and I woke up with a sore throat. Going to a cold bed after a long day is just miserable. The cleaner kept turning the AC back to cooling mode after each cleaning, so we’d return to an even colder room.
There’s a smart toilet with a warm seat — ironic, given the rest of the room was like an icebox. No bathrobe either. Shower was fine, but that’s about it.
Breakfast was very mediocre. Rice and side dishes were cold, the place was overcrowded, and many tables stayed dirty for a long time with no staff helping. The only positive: coffee was good.
Service attitude felt like “whatever mode” — not what you’d expect from a 4-star. I asked for an upper floor with a view during booking, but it was completely ignored. I chose a room with a window — ended up on the 3rd floor facing another building’s windows, with rubbish bins downstairs. I could see into the neighbors’ apartments. Worst view I’ve ever had.
They also claim on their website that currency exchange is available, but when I asked, staff told me to wait for banks to open and go there myself.
The location is just okay — 10 min walk to Yu Garden and subway, 25 min to Nanjing Lu. Laundry room is a plus (free detergent), but expect a queue in the evening.
Overall, this is a very average hotel. Definitely not 4-star. If there’s no other choice, it’s tolerable — but there are many better places to stay near Yu Garden. I would not recommend this hotel.
LLingling Kotchanan Tanrattanakul TanrattanakulJust the first night we had problems. From 11 PM onwards, there was a lot of noise coming from what sounded like a bar outside. Both the music and people talking and laughing loudly could be heard clearly in our room, even though we double-checked and the windows were tightly shut.
We arrived at the hotel at 10 PM that night, very tired. It was our first time in Shanghai, and we had an early flight from Chiang Mai (waking up at 4 AM to get to the airport) and walked a lot upon arrival. Discovering this situation made us want to change rooms. We even had to cancel our tour plans for the next morning because we couldn't sleep. We called the front desk for earplugs, but we're not used to them and couldn't sleep with them in. Thankfully, the hotel helped us switch rooms first thing in the morning.
After we changed rooms, we didn't encounter any more issues.
The hotel's location is good.
The bed is comfortable.
The hot water is good.
The service is excellent.
We would come back again.
GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!
CCurious TravellerGreat location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested.
The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk.
Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages.
The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen.
BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best.
Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee.
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, situated right on the bund. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. My family and I were travelling through China for 4 weeks, and I booked this place for 4 nights, we usually like to stay in places where we can do laundry, here we had to use an outsourced business to get our laundry done as there are no laundry facilities close by and it would have cost us $500 aud to get our laundry done through the hotel. Just something to be mindful of if you are travelling with a family. However in saying that, the process of outsourcing was only made possible because of the assistance given by the hotel.
I’m glad we booked it, the experience overall was great.
GGuest UserGreat location, after all, it's an old alleyway, and once you step into the room, it's really lovely. Very cozy, and the small attic was very comfortable to stay in.
GGuest UserReally liked it. The customer service lady had an amazing attitude. I asked her where to buy paper cups nearby, and she actually ordered glass cups via delivery service straight to my room! The room also had a fridge and a washing machine.
**Cleanliness:** Very clean, with slippers and a hairdryer – all the daily essentials provided.
**Service:** Excellent attitude, very patient.
**Environment:** Great. It’s very close to the subway station and the area around is bustling.
JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined.
First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience.
Now, for the less satisfying aspects:
1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one.
2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them.
3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.
EEKoRyoGreat location with convenient transportation. The service was excellent, and it's very close to the US Consulate, which was a huge plus. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep! It's super convenient whether you're here for a job interview, a relaxing staycation, or exploring the city as a tourist.
