Hotels near Modern Capital, Guiyang

The hotel room is clean and nice just like the other Novotel hotels around the world. The buffet breakfast spread at The Square is reasonably good. The housekeeping staff did perform well in maintaining the room clean. There are many restaurants nearby the hotel, particularly the ‘underground’ (technically below the road junction) restaurants. The West Zhongshan Metro line 1 (Exit E) is about 7 minutes walk and then use Entrance D and Exit C of the underpass stairs/elevator to proceed to the Hotel passing Uniqlo and the restaurant with the hanging Panda. Will stay again at this hotel if visit Guiyang in future.

The location of this hotel is an absolute selling point, at the top of the local food district, and a short trip to the main attractions of Guiyang.

The room was very satisfactory. I booked a quiet room at the beginning. The front desk helped me upgrade the room for free. They also cleaned the room carefully. The room was equipped with disposable items. It was very convenient to travel around. Minsheng Road Food Street, Dashizi, Jiaxiu Tower and other attractions are all within walking distance. It is recommended. Except that the place is hard to find. When you see the frog fish head, you can go in the gate next to it.

Couple on 47 years Wedding Anniversary and stayed seven (7) nights in this Hotel, the front desk 2 ladies and 1 man night shift were terrible helpful and provided very good services, after the 3 days local tour and returned to Hotel and upgraded to a Room with living hall and bedroom with 2 toilets, location not too bad for taxi or didi ride.s

Staying at this hotel in Guiyang was an absolute treat! It's right in the city center by Fountains, and the subway entrance is just downstairs, making it super convenient to get to Jiaxiu Tower and Qingyun Market. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was incredibly soft, and it was nice and quiet – perfect for recovering after a long day of hiking Qianling Mountain Park and playing with the monkeys. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and helpful, even recommending authentic Changwang noodles and a restaurant for Siwawa. The most thoughtful touch was the breakfast featuring local Guiyang specialties like Cuisao noodles and Spicy Chicken noodles, which I happily ate for two days straight. Great location, warm service, and thoughtful details – I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Guiyang!

Quanji is always our top choice for accommodation, and this branch on Mingsheng Street in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province is definitely the best place to stay in Guiyang! Nestled down a small side road, it’s just a short walk with luggage. You’ll climb 3-4 steps to the entrance, then there are two super-fast elevators—no waiting around at all. The building has 7 floors total, with guest rooms on floors 5 to 7. The lobby, also on the 5th floor, is huge—easily the size of four hotel rooms—bright and spacious. The front desk service deserves a massive shoutout—warm, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. Even before we arrived, we asked for favors like accepting packages and getting our clothes ready, and they handled everything perfectly without a hitch. Check-in was lightning fast: the staff confirmed our room type patiently, offered helpful recommendations, and even upgraded our room since we’re members. We got our room cards and keys in no time—total seamless experience. Floor 5 isn’t just for the lobby and rooms; it also houses the restaurant and laundry room. The laundry area has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, though you need to bring your own detergent. The only letdown is the gym facilities—just one treadmill squeezed into the laundry room. It would be way better if they could carve out a bit of the lobby space for a proper gym. That said, the laundry room is small but fully equipped, and the staff here are the most thoughtful I’ve ever encountered at a Quanji! With so many guests using the machines, there’s often a wait, but the staff will proactively move your washed clothes to the dryer. If you don’t leave a note, they’ll fold and package everything separately, then check with guests the next morning to make sure everyone gets their own clothes back. So convenient! We stayed in Room 8711, which is right next to the elevators—perfect for someone like me with huge luggage who’s constantly running to the laundry room. The room has a unique design: the bed is tucked into a cozy little nook, and the long corridor features a TV on one side and a desk on the other. It’s truly small but perfectly formed—everything you need is there. The hair dryer is powerful and works great, and they provide shampoo and body wash too. The only minor issue is the water pressure, which is a bit low for my liking, but the water temperature is spot-on, and the sink even has heated water—such a nice touch. The bathroom comes with all the basics: a comb, vanity kit, and toothbrush/toothpaste. There are also tiny side tables, but they’re more than enough for what you need. The breakfast was exceptional! The restaurant staff and kitchen team were so friendly—especially the aunties, who kept asking if we wanted more food, worried we might not have enough. That kind of care is really heartwarming. I always love Quanji’s breakfast, and their multigrain congee is the star—slow-cooked, healthy, and absolutely delicious. This time was no different. The spread had everything: hot dishes, noodles, dumplings, multigrain options, milk, yogurt—you name it. It’s such a well-rounded breakfast that I’d happily wake up early just for it every time. All in all, it was a fantastic stay. Quanji clearly trains their staff incredibly well—everyone knows their roles and delivers top-notch service, from the front desk to the housekeeping and restaurant teams. Next time we’re in Guiyang, this Quanji will be our first choice without a doubt!

The service attitude is very good. The front desk lady is very polite. When we were having breakfast, the aunt greeted us from a distance. I like the decoration style very much, except that the mirror lowers the appearance. Other chain stores have round and hollow ones, which are quite nice. These are not the main points. Overall, it is still very good. The water pressure for the shower is relatively low in my opinion. The room is very clean. The bath towels have been disinfected after a look and a smell. Overall, the price is just over 300. The accommodation, service and food are very satisfactory.

Stayed for 3 days. The hotel staff are attentive and provide good guidance on directions. Room is clean.
