Caesar Metro Taipei

The room was certainly small, beds were comfortable, and well maintained, making the stay good. The washrooms were very clean, which added to the overall comfort. Breakfast had ample options, including both Western and traditional choices, catering to different tastes. The hotel’s location is excellent, right by Wanhua Station and very close to the MRT, making travel extremely convenient. The staff were helpful and courteous, and the self check-in option was smooth and efficient.

We loved the very accessible, reasonable price, service, easy check in and check out, bed is firm enough for good back support and good sleep, it was truly a great stay . The only problem we encountered is that the noise from hallway and other rooms can be heard in our room.

Strategically located at Taipei main station, the heartland of Taipei where all attractions can be gone to with ease. Didn’t expect a lot from hostel. They can do daily cleaning. Disinfection when necessary and a good job done. Breakfast is simple. Everyone loves it.

Hotel Papa Whale

I had a great stay at Papa Whale Hotel in Ximending, Taipei! Before my trip, I emailed them with a few questions, and the staff responded promptly every time. When I arrived a bit early before check-in, I could comfortably wait in the lobby, which was really nice and cozy. The staff were super helpful and spoke English very well. The hotel’s location is fantastic—right in Ximending, close to the night market and within walking distance to convenience stores, the MRT, and lots of great spots. It’s a popular place for tourists, so it tends to be fully booked often. I also opted for the breakfast buffet, which was really convenient. They had a good variety of dishes, including some nice shabu and other options, so I didn’t have to go out hunting for food in the morning—definitely worth it. The price overall was quite reasonable and good value for what you get. As for the room, I chose a basement room, which was actually quiet and cozy. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. The bathroom was nice, and the lighting was good. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room every day and always asked for permission politely if I was still inside—really considerate. While the room wasn’t super large, it was modern and clean. If I needed anything extra, the staff were always happy to help. It’s a short walk to the main Ximending walking street, and once you get used to it, it’s really convenient. Plus, there are lots of nice spots for photos if you like taking pictures. Overall, I slept really well and had a great experience. I’d definitely stay at Papa Whale again if I have the chance! 🩵

Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card. Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes. The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

Great location—super close to the airport and MRT, which made getting around really easy. The common room was a nice space to eat food from outside, but it would be even better with a microwave for reheating
