🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Five-star recommendation! A hidden gem in the Zhongshan commercial district! My stay at 'Home Hotel - Xinan Branch' completely exceeded expectations! The location is incredibly convenient; it's about a 10-minute walk from Metro Exit 6, and even with luggage, it was an easy stroll. The biggest surprise was that the hotel is right at the entrance of Ningbo Night Market. As soon as you step out, you're immediately immersed in the lively night market atmosphere. If you want a late-night snack or to go shopping, it's seamless! Even though it's right next to the night market, the room was completely quiet; the soundproofing is excellent. The environment was also kept clean and tidy, and the bathroom's hygiene details were reassuring. During my stay, no matter how late I contacted the front desk, the staff responded promptly. The 24-hour online service was truly heartwarming; they helped resolve any issues immediately, making it feel like having a personal butler by my side. Overall, this place offers a combination of convenient transportation, strong local amenities, peace and comfort, and excellent service, all at a very reasonable price. It's definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting the Zhongshan commercial district! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back for another stay! 💯

I really appreciated how close the hotel is from the station. Be prepared for Google Maps to list places in Chinese, not English. I liked the room I rented because it had it’s own bathroom. The toilet was a bidet which was great! I liked the rustic style of the hotel. I found a hair and some stains in the sheets, but the room overall felt clean. I really liked the location, too because I could walk to all the places I wanted to see! I recommend staying here. :)

I genuinely liked this hotel and would highly recommend it. I'd definitely come back to stay here again because the price is really good, and the location is perfect. Many people say the soundproofing isn't great, but I think it's normal... If you want excellent soundproofing, you should stay at a 5-star hotel. This next story is just to tell everyone to keep an eye on their money and valuables. Now, for my review and the story: For this price: Room size a little small - Normal Soundproofing not great - Normal Location - Excellent, truly convenient Staff - Full marks Facilities - Full marks 1. Washing machine and dryer available for only 100 NTD. 2. Unlimited free coffee from the coffee machine. 3. Free snacks. 4. Unlimited microwave use. 5. Toilet is the same model as in airports, with an automatic bidet and a heated seat – no cold backside! Safety/Privacy/Valuables - A bit risky My personal luck level - Maxed out The story that follows is truly thrilling. That day, we went back and forth to the hotel several times. We'd go back to rest when we were tired from shopping, and return to rest after buying souvenirs. Our last outing was around 6:30 PM, and we didn't return to rest until about 12:30 AM. When we got back to our room, we noticed the door wasn't properly closed! My girlfriend and I looked at each other, both puzzled. Did we really leave the door open? We went inside and found that my iPad, wallet, and everything else was still there... Everything seemed normal, so we didn't think much of it and just went to bed. The next day, around 7:30 PM, as we were getting ready to check out, I suddenly remembered I had 9,000 NTD in my wallet. I was just organizing my luggage, so I decided to check my wallet. Hahahaha, my 9,000 NTD was gone! We immediately went to tell the staff. “My 9,000 NTD is missing. Can we check the surveillance footage?” The first thing they asked was if we had put up the “Do Not Disturb” sign. I told them I always had it up because I didn't need any cleaning service. Luckily, I had kept it on the door the whole time. Since we always had the “Do Not Disturb” sign up, in theory, no staff member or cleaner should have entered our room. So, they had to help us check the surveillance footage. The staff here truly deserve full marks. They were very diligent in helping us review the footage. They also confirmed, “Yes, you had the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign up the entire time. No one should have entered the room.” Then, they eventually told me that around 11 PM, someone came to disinfect the room. This disinfection staff member was not a hotel employee; they were from an external company (the hotel staff told me this). They concluded that it must have been during this time that my 9,000 NTD was stolen. The staff immediately reimbursed us the 9,000 NTD, saying they would deal with the disinfection company afterward. My girlfriend and I thought, “Disinfecting at 11 PM? Seriously?” The process isn't important. The main thing is that I got my money back. So, my luck level was maxed out. Thank you! One more thing: I really hope the hotel contacts me to tell me how they ultimately dealt with that disinfection personnel.

Great location. Pretty clean. Correct hotel. Very unfortunately the Internet was very unstable, 1/4 night I can't connect from my room, another 1/4 night the Internet is down due to a low-intensity earthquake... So I had no WiFi for 2 nights. Would be good if the curtains have voilage, because without them I had to close the curtain even during the day.

An okay-ish sized room but keep in mind that the photos for this room isn't entirely accurate. I booked 2 separate room of the same type. 1st room is as shown as the picture, however the 2nd room has the Toilet, Shower room & Basin all at the entrance of the door. What this means is that when you open the door you will immediately see the washing basin beside you and at the left side is the Toilet & Shower room. So whenever you step in or step out of the room, you basically need to wear your shoes at the door entrance. Didn't take a photo of the toilet and entrance so you will need to look at the mirror reflection to see the entrance door at the washing basin. There isn't much spaces to hand your clothes either so you will have to make shift using the metal bars above your bed to hang stuff.

Conveniently located about 3 mins walk from exit 6 of the airport MRT station. The room was tidy and spacious. Bed was comfortable and firm though pillows were slightly softer to what I would have preferred. Light sleepers best prepare some noise cancelling earbuds. Service was friendly and helpful as I needed information about getting to the HSR station safely in the wee hours of the morning which takes about 13 mins walking.

PPaul R.I had an absolutely amazing stay at Hotel Gracery Taipei, and it exceeded my expectations in almost every way. From the moment I arrived, the experience felt seamless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for travelers who value both convenience and quality. Location-wise, it’s excellent. The hotel is directly connected to Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station, which makes getting around Taipei incredibly easy, whether you’re heading to Taipei Main Station, Ximending, or exploring food spots and night markets. After a long day of walking, having the MRT literally downstairs is a huge plus. There are also convenience stores, cafés, and local eateries nearby, so everything you need is within reach. The room was spotless, modern, and very well laid out. Typical of Japanese hospitality, every detail felt intentional. The bed was extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows that made it easy to get a good night’s sleep, even after long travel days. The room wasn’t huge, but it was intelligently designed with enough space to move around comfortably, open luggage, and store belongings. Soundproofing was excellent; the room felt quiet and relaxing despite being in a central area. The bathroom deserves special mention. It was immaculate, well-lit, and stocked with premium toiletries. The shower pressure was strong and consistent, and everything, from towels to amenities, felt fresh and high quality. This is one of those hotels where you actually enjoy using the bathroom, which says a lot. Service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and any questions I had were answered clearly and patiently. Even small interactions felt warm and respectful, which made the stay more personal and welcoming. Cleanliness across the hotel was impeccable. Public areas, elevators, hallways. Everything was consistently well maintained. You can tell that housekeeping standards are taken very seriously here, which adds a strong sense of comfort and trust as a guest. What really sets Hotel Gracery Taipei apart is the balance between Japanese precision and ********* warmth. It feels calm, reliable, and refined without being cold or overly formal. Whether you’re visiting Taipei for leisure or business, it’s a place where you can truly relax and feel taken care of. In short, this was an amazing experience, and I would 100% stay here again on my next trip to Taipei. Hotel Gracery Taipei delivers excellent value, top-tier cleanliness, prime location, and consistently great service. Highly recommended.

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

GGuest UserI really want to rate this hotel well but it was the worst sleep. Hd to rearrange my plans, delay early starts and survived by involuntarily falling asleep on public transport. For objectivity, I will commend the good parts while also sharing my horror. Pros: Checked in 2hrs early w/ upgraded room. Washing machine/dryer/detergent on 3F. Kind housekeeping staff. 24hr reception. Receptionists speak good english. Big TV. Decent wifi. Fridge, hairdryer in drawer, kettle, slipers, desk/chair. Good water temperature. Smart toilet but loud. Many lights so the 'no windows' didn't bother me as I anticipated. Given 2 key cards. Provided water bottles. Comfortable pillows. Ideal location, next to Taipei Main Station, 15-20min walk from Ximendeng if you're conflicted between the two locations like I was. Cons: Worst soundproofing ever. Not much empathy or hospitality for complaints. Limited TV channels, no streaming services or YouTube. No conditioner. Sheets + towels had holes/rips but clean. Tips: Use the lifts at the back of the building, less busier. From Main Station, follow signs for the underground mall or exits beginning with Z. If the closest lift exit is blocked, use the next nearest lift and cross the road. Ask people for help if you are lost, don't waste your time. I preferred buses honestly. Withdraw cash from the Cathay United Bank ATM in the underground mall (no extra fees like other ATMs), defer conversion so your bank chooses the exchange rates (ook up a video online to see how it works if you are confused). Airport taxis park in the front of the hotel (at least mine did at 3am). I am a fairly light sleeper so I packed earplugs and over-ear headphones in fear of the sound issues people reported. All I heard for the majority of my stay was my hellish neighbours going in and out their room, ringing their doorbell (each room has 1 outside, cool feature but should be disabled late night), and door slamming (if someone does not hold the door for a light close). I tend to sleep late anyway so I shrugged it off the first time. The following nights, the same noises continued, every few minutes (not exaggerating) until 2/3am. Even with earplugs AND over ear headphones AND clothes covering my ears, I was woken up anytime I was remotely close to sleep. As a solo traveller, I was scared to confront them but other neighbours (who are even further from the noisy group) complained. On my last day, I had to complain too since I had to get up before 3am for my flight. The staff said that they were aware of this and that a large group was staying next door (turns out the hotel offers rooms that fit 8 people.. lol) and that they would report it to the leader. I suggested that the door closing could be done lightly and they could call instead of use the doorbell but receptionist did not seem to care and brushed me off. I did not expect any apology but a little empathy would have meant a lot to a person who has gotten less than 7hrs sleep total the past few days. Thanks to the report I was able to sleep by 1am, a real record... I am a tolerant person but I really suffered because of bad soundproofing and lack of attentiveness from the hotel. I know it is not the hotel's fault that I had an unlucky situation. However, there are SO many complaints on soundproofing that the hotel should do something about it. Invest in soundproofing, install something to make the doors close slowly on its own. It costs nothing to remind guests (esp. big groups) during check-ins to be mindful especially after midnight, give a penalty fee for those who don't comply, offer guests who complain about noise an alternate room if available - anything... I specifically requested for a quiet room when booking - how is being next to a 6/8 people room going to be quiet? Would have paid more just to have the unupgraded room. The pros are fantastic, but decent sleep is a basic necessity for any hotel. I hope this review is helpful to others considering!

SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card. Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes. AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights). The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient. Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while. The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies. The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened. Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors. Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations. (Attached: hotel check-in instructions, a picture before check-out, and the nearest Airport MRT exit to the hotel.)

HH888I booked a last-minute one-night stay, checked in around 5:25 PM, and was surprisingly upgraded to a double bunk bed. The size, big enough for me to roll around in, was a pleasant surprise. The front desk staff with glasses and short hair was very friendly; I'm incredibly grateful for the bed she arranged for me. The front desk staff escorts guests to their beds and shows them how to open the door. My hand was injured, making it difficult to exert force, so it took me a while to open the room door. The staff proactively came over to help me. The female overnight front desk staff, also wearing glasses, was kind and friendly. I asked if I could continue staying in the double wide bed if I booked an extra night. She readily agreed, saying it would also mean less cleaning for them. She told me not to rush and to just inform them before checking out in the morning if I decided to extend my stay. And free luggage storage until 11:59 PM on the day of check-out – how great is that? The hostel offers three basic complimentary beverages, which is good, and the large water dispenser is a plus; it's important to stay hydrated when out and about. It's excellent that the bathrooms are not in the room, so you won't hear roommates washing up or blow-drying their hair, which could disturb sleep. The room has a window, and although this means hearing outside noises, I actually prefer it for better air circulation. The bed seems to be of the plank-assembly type. The advantage is that the upper bunk doesn't shake the lower bunk when people move around. However, when someone on the upper bunk places things on the non-mattress part, the sound can be noticeably loud. There are lockers in the room to secure belongings. As for the downsides, the wall by the bed had more dust, but as long as it's not insects and I won't get bitten, I don't mind; I can just wipe the dust myself 😁. I know they have many beds to manage and are busy. I suggest regularly, for example, a few times a week, using a damp cloth with alcohol to clean around the beds. If the dust and dirt are gone, you'll be a 100-point hostel! Although I later found out from the evening front desk staff that the upgrade was due to there being no other beds available, hahaha, I was still very happy about it. So, travelers reading this review, please don't hassle the front desk staff – it's a matter of luck. My travel luck had been terrible for the past few days, so it finally took a turn for the better. Grateful.
