We had a wonderful stay at the Shuzenji onsen Katsuragawa.The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome from check-in to check-out. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel's location was perfect.

Arai Ryokan, built in 1872, is a luxurious ryokan with 31 Japanese style guest rooms are located in various private cottages. Its 15 wooden structures are registered as the national cultural assets. Many Japanese celebrated artists made frequent visit and the big art collection is housed in the ryokan. A wooden bridge leads to the guest rooms which overlook either the river or the courtyard with its large pond full of carp. Arai Ryokan’s traditional Japanese cuisine kaiseki served features local fresh seafood and vegetable of each season.

The service was exceptional—attentive, warm, and thoughtful. every detail was carefully curated to create an unforgettable experience. highly recommend this ryokan to anyone seeking a serene getaway with top-notch hospitality.

Our stay at Toi Fujiya Hotel felt like being treated to a 5-star experience. I stayed in a Japanese-style room on the fourth floor. The room was super big and the heating was sufficient, which was very warm on winter nights. There were several Chinese waiters in the hotel, so communication was barrier-free. I booked a one-night stay and two-meals package, and the breakfast and dinner were very good.
