The room was very clean and offered excellent value for money. I was very satisfied with everything except for the lack of toiletries and disposable slippers. The location is also very convenient, and the soundproofing seems to be good as I didn't hear any noise from the hallway.

I booked a king room on the 13th floor. The room was spacious and well-equipped. However, it was inconvenient for guests arriving by airport shuttle as you have to carry your luggage down about a dozen stairs to the lobby. The alternative is to go around to the main entrance, but even then you have to drag your suitcase down a slope to get there, which is very inconvenient.

HOTEL ELIENA offers luxurious services with modern rooms, providing comfortable relaxation and coziness.
JJas552026.01.27
We travelled to South Korea for the first time in November and came across Hotel Eliena by chance when booking and so thankful we did!
We opted to stay in the Gangnam district due to its relaxed environment and didn't find travelling to other areas in Seoul that difficult. The room was so lovely and spacious and we opted for breakfast (I would highly recommend getting the korean everyday!) the staff at breakfast were so kind and helpful and conversational too :)
I would have to say the reception staff were exceptional in their customer service and attentiveness! I didn't manage to get the name of the gentleman who checked us in and the gentleman who checked us out but they were amazing and made the stay excellent from the beginning to the end :)

The Sinsa Jjack is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Sinsa Jjack is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Seoul. The hotel is only 5km from Yongsan Station and 20km from Gimpo International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. In addition, Sinsa Metro Station is just a short walk away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Grass garden “pink muhly”, Garosu-gil Street and Sinsa-dong all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.

I stayed here because I had to take care of business in Gangnam.
It's located about a minute's walk from Sinsa Station, and there's a convenience store nearby, so it's very convenient.
I'm sorry to say that the exterior is quite gloomy and has a ”THE motel” feel, so at first I thought I'd made a mistake... but when I entered the room, it was old but clean and comfortable.
The bathroom area is quite old, but the shower temperature and water pressure were perfect.
And there was such a full lineup of amenities...!
I was surprised because it was written that there were none. There was a separate shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the shower room.
There was also indoor wear, towels, and slippers, and tissues.
There was a refrigerator, a large TV, and a desktop PC, so you can use Netflix, YouTube, etc. freely.
There was a charger next to the bed! (2 types, Lightning and USBC...!) There was also a hair dryer, a straightening iron, hair styling products, and even insecticide for when mosquitoes appear (this was the first time I'd ever seen a room with so much).
Outside the room, there was a drink server with drinking water, which guests could use freely.
And best of all, the man at the front desk was very kind and willingly took care of my luggage even though it was around noon before check-in, and even though I checked in late at night, he carried my luggage up to my room (there are stairs).
It was raining when I checked out, but when he found out I didn't have an umbrella, he brought out a new one and handed it to me (while saying ”It's new” in Japanese ;;)
This was my first time in Korea (and traveling alone), but I was able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience!
This review turned out to be a long one, but it was a great hotel, so I recommend it.
Thank you to the man who was so kind!!!
Renovated in 2024, the Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam is a great choice for accommodation in Seoul. The hotel is conveniently located just 5km from Wangsimni Station and 21km from Gimpo International Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Hak-dong Metro Station within walking distance. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Somang Church, Hakdong Park and Bongeunsa Temple all nearby. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is the usual choice for a large number of business travelers.

The room facilities have been renovated, and the hotel's location is pretty good. The luggage storage staff can speak basic Chinese, so communication isn't an issue. Even if there's a language barrier, the front desk staff patiently use translation software. There's a 200,000 KRW deposit, which is refunded upon check-out. It's a great value-for-money star hotel in Seoul's Gangnam district. The hotel has an overall old-money and vintage vibe, and staying during Christmas created a wonderful atmosphere. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

Everything was good, and the staff were very easy to communicate with! The only downside to the location is that it's not soundproof. If you're a light sleeper or have a bit of a nervous breakdown and can't tolerate any noise at night, it's best to request a room far from the elevator. However, even far from the elevator, there can be a rumbling sound, which makes it hard to sleep. I'm not sure where the noise came from, maybe it's because the doors aren't soundproof. The one good thing is that the hotel staff were very communicative and kindly helped me switch rooms!

The room size was decent, but the soundproofing was terrible. I could hear people talking in the stairwell and cars speeding by downstairs, especially late at night, which really affected my sleep. However, the hotel's location is excellent, and the front desk staff can speak Chinese. Breakfast was just okay, but they offered a good variety of made-to-order egg dishes. The Eggs Benedict I ordered was pretty good, but everything else was so-so.

I always stay here because it's convenient for Gimpo Airport. You just cut through the lobby of the business building in the middle, and you're right at Subway Line 9. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, making life and travel very convenient. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is good.

Great
CCaicaiThe highlight this time was how lively and convenient the surrounding area was. A big shout-out to a gentleman at the front desk; his attitude was exceptionally good and he made me feel very welcome. However, compared to my stay at this hotel a year ago, I was quite disappointed this time. Firstly, there's absolutely no need to book a balcony room – it's just a tiny corner, incredibly small, and the balcony room actually felt a bit smaller than a standard room. My next complaint is about the hotel breakfast; it was exactly the same for all four days, with no variety whatsoever. Lastly, the complimentary snacks and drinks in the room were only provided on the first day. Although the room was cleaned afterwards, they were never refilled.
FFengquanThe location is excellent, but the service was disappointing. A few issues worth noting:
1. Entrance Downlight
The entrance downlight automatically turns off after a few seconds. This becomes frustrating when trying to use the mirror, as the light repeatedly switches off and you have to walk toward the sensor each time to reactivate it.
2. Microwave Request
There is no microwave in the room. When we called to request one to heat up food (we were staying on Level 14), the staff asked us to go down to Level 7 (Lobby). After reaching the lobby, we were then told to follow them back up to Level 14 to use a staff lounge microwave. Since they already knew we were calling from Level 14, it would have made more sense to ask us to meet there directly.
3. Additional Toilet Paper Request
On the first day of our Seoul stay, my partner experienced food poisoning after having KBBQ nearby and had diarrhea and vomiting throughout the day. When we requested additional toilet paper, we were told to go down to the lobby to collect it ourselves. This will never happen in Japan.
4. Air Conditioning Issue
The ceiling air conditioning was not functioning. When we called to check, we were told it was no longer operational, and the initial suggestion was to open the window. However, the air quality index was around 300 at the time. A cooling fan was eventually offered, but the initial lack of awareness regarding the air quality was concerning.
Overall, while the location is very convenient, the service standards did not meet expectations.
Attached a picture of the air quality during our stay.
GGuest UserThe room matched the pictures perfectly; it was a bit small but clean, hygienic, and well-equipped. We arrived at night on the first day, and by the second day, we discovered there was plenty to explore around the hotel. It's located near Anguk Station, and from the hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see Jogyesa Temple. Gyeongbokgung Palace is right across the street, diagonally opposite the traffic light from the hotel entrance. There are also many new perfume shops and bakeries nearby. You can search on Xiaohongshu for more details. I even took a photo of the hotel lobby. The hotel has a dedicated luggage storage area, which is very convenient and thoughtful. Many locals stay here too.
DD24034****The location is excellent, right in the Myeongdong shopping district. The hygiene and environment are great, and the service is very good. They even have staff who speak Chinese. It's only a three to five-minute walk from Myeongdong Subway Station. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Even though it's in a bustling shopping area, it's not noisy at all at night.
GGuest UserThis hotel offers incredible value for money! It's really luxurious and easy to find, located on the side of the building. It's about a seven-minute walk from Dongdaemun or Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, just follow the directions on Naver Maps. There are lots of shops nearby, especially towards Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, but it doesn't feel chaotic; I, as a solo female traveler, felt very safe. On the ground floor, there's a concierge who was very warm and polite, guiding me to the 14th floor for check-in. The lobby on the 14th floor is spacious, with several staff members, including some who speak Chinese. There's also a photo booth and a convenience store in the lobby. The room was huge! And it even had a bathtub! It was spotless, and the entire hotel smelled lovely. The cleaning lady was super cute and pretty, haha. I really enjoyed my stay, but there are two minor drawbacks, in my opinion. Firstly, the hairdryer's airflow was a bit weak, which wasn't very comfortable to use. Secondly, the soundproofing wasn't amazing, but it didn't disturb my sleep, so it was fine overall.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is conveniently located near exits 4 and 5 of Seoul Station, which have direct elevators, making it super easy for those with large luggage! The rumors about homeless people near exits 7 and 8 are true, but I didn't encounter any issues, and since those exits only have stairs, I just avoided them entirely. It felt perfectly safe, so no worries there.
The biggest advantage of staying here is its proximity to the Airport Express and train lines. It's just a five-minute walk, which is incredibly convenient! Plus, Seoul Station has a Lotte Mart, so it's perfect for buying lots of groceries and carrying them straight back to your room.
You enter on the first floor and take the elevator directly up to the front desk on the second floor. The restaurant on the first floor has a lovely ambiance, especially in winter. The room itself wasn't large, but anyone who's traveled to Japan or Korea will understand that. Overall, it was clean, tidy, and quiet. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip!
YYengBOur family had a wonderful stay at Sollago Myeongdong Hotel. The room was very spacious and perfect for a family. It had two separate rooms, each with a double bed, plus two single beds in the living room. It fit our family of five very comfortably.
The unit was well equipped with a washer, smart TV, microwave, ref/freezer, and smart bidet, which made our stay easy and stress free—especially for a longer trip.
The location is a big plus. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk to the subway and bus stops (Chungmuro), making it very convenient to get around Seoul. There is also a convenience store right downstairs, and many local Korean restaurants nearby, so food was never a problem.
Btw, it’s a self check-in/out hotel. Very modern indeed!
Overall, this hotel is a great choice for families who want space, comfort, and easy access to transport. We would gladly stay here again.
GGuest UserEven though there was a language barrier, the gentleman at the front desk was very diligent in using a few Chinese words to confirm our check-in and explain what was complimentary, which was really nice. The cleaning staff also helped clear out our trash daily. We, four people, stayed in one room for five days, and it was excellent value for money. The transportation was also convenient. I highly recommend it for those on a budget! ❤️
Ssurie wanLocated very close to famous myeongdong street. Very close to bus stop and myeondong teain station. Easy if use aiport limousine bus from incheon bcause the stop just 80 m from entrance. A list of halal restaurant nearby for muslm travellers for exmple mari meokja just infrom hotel, kampung ku and busan jib around 300 m from hotel and many more. Other attraction are within walking distance The staff were kind enough to let us chexk in 1 hr earlier. Room is spacious and clean. Can see namsan tower from the room
__WeChat287538****I got a free upgrade to a four-person room, which was quite spacious. They offer free luggage storage. If you arrive late, you don't have to worry because they'll leave your room card there for you to pick up. However, if you're concerned about your belongings, you might want to buy a lock at Daiso, as they don't provide one!
