GGuest UserFacilities: The hotel's facilities exude a sense of luxury and elegance everywhere. However, they're also a bit impractical. For example, the sink is too wide; an Asian woman might have to stand on her tiptoes to wash her face, and her stomach would be pressed against the cold basin.
Cleanliness: It was generally clean, but there was mold around the shower gel and shampoo dispenser.
Ambiance: No issues at all, a century-old hotel with a central sea view.
Service: Everyone was quite enthusiastic, but I still wonder if tipping is expected/necessary?

GGuest UserThe hotel staff were all very polite, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. They even noted my request and gave me a quiet room with no noise. The breakfast was decent, and the coffee was strong and really woke me up.
There's a mall right to the left when you exit, and a supermarket downstairs. Across the street, there's a 7-Eleven, and GAMA also has a supermarket downstairs. It's a moderate distance to tourist attractions, about a 20-minute walk, and about a 30-minute drive to the airport if there's no traffic. Little India is nearby, so there are quite a few Indian people around. I'm not used to it since I don't know much about the culture, but we mostly kept to ourselves. However, after each room cleaning, we'd find a few long hairs that weren't ours, which I hope they can improve upon.

QQiufengqiuyeAlthough the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.

GGuest UserExcellent location to delicious local food - char kway teow, hokien prawn noodles. Fried beehoon with fried fish meat (available only in the morning). Don't forget to order ambra drink. Love it!
The first shop on the left when you get out of the hotel, we ate there 3 times. Yummy
Every night the local food stalls along the street will be busy with lots of people.
The charcoal fried char kway teow's queue can be up to 1.5 hours.
They start at two pm so go early. Close on Wednesday.
Across the street from the hotel, you can buy Penang Tau sar pniah.. there is a nonya restaurant but we didn't try.

Checked in on the 20th floor and enjoyed the view while waiting.
Hygiene: The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom.
Facilities: The infinity pool on the top floor was fantastic, with plenty of loungers and towels available. The pool water was also very clean.
Environment: Downstairs, the hotel is surrounded by convenience stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and nail salons.
Service: The check-in process was very thorough, with detailed explanations about WiFi connection, air conditioning temperature control, pool opening hours, and more.

GGuest UserThe hotel exceeds my expectations. The room has sleek interior design and is spacious and clean. The amenities look new and well maintained by repurposing rooms in the 15th floor. The lobby and the complimentary coffee is great too!
Location wise, not much going around the hotel but grab is easy and quite near to Georgetown too.
It’s just that my room has a weird smell near the bathroom (probably from sanitation/sewage) because it smells the same in the toilet near the swimming pool. Not a dealbreaker because the smell is quite contained and you won’t smell it from your bed or anything but it may be the first smell that welcomes you as you enter the room as the bathroom/toilet is area is just beside the door.

GGuest UserI stayed in the Cyan Premier King room for 5 nights. The room (314) was triangular in shape which was a bit awkward in size and the bathroom door was very close to the bed. The king bed was very comfy and clean. Pillows were great and the air-conditioning was cold and self-adjustable. My only complaint would be the slight mould on the tile grouting in the bathroom (see pics). Service was great and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I also managed to get a late checkout for a small additional fee. This is my first time staying at The Loop and it was overall a very pleasant experience.

MMEGAT AMINUDDINi had a wonderful stay at Bishop Hotel in Georgetown, Penang. the location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the UNESCO heritage area, within walking distance to popular attractions, street art, cafes, and amazing local food spots. it made exploring Georgetown so convenient and enjoyable.
the room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. perfect for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing. everything was well-maintained, and the bed was especially comfortable for a good night’s rest.
overall, Bishop Hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for a centrally located stay with cozy, comfortable rooms in Georgetown. iwould definitely stay here again!

EewanwanThis is my second time staying at this hotel, and it continues to deliver a consistently comfortable experience.
The room is clean, well-maintained, and designed in a simple, functional style that feels similar to an ibis concept practical and easy to settle into.
The highlight is definitely the bed. It’s soft and very comfortable, and even the single beds are generously sized. The bedsheets feel like cotton, and the hotel provides two types of pillows ,one soft and one medium-firm ,which makes it easy to get good sleep.
The bathroom is clean with proper dry and wet separation, and having a fridge in the room is a nice added convenience.
Location is another strong point. Within just a 1-minute walk, there are plenty of food options, from open-air local stalls to air-conditioned restaurants. Despite that, the area remains quiet at night, which I really appreciate.
The fact that I chose to come back says a lot. Overall, great value for money and I would definitely stay here again
第二次入住，房间肯定是干净整洁，最舒服是他家的床柔软，也是入住原因之一，单人床也是大号的，床单很舒服，应该是全棉的，枕头也有提供1个软的1个适中没那么软的。厕所干湿分离。还提供冰箱。整体设计感很接近ibis。 地点也不差，走1min有到地美食大排档，开放式的，冷气房的都有。晚上不会吵。

GGuest UserI was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area .
The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this .
Now , I wait for my toe to heal .
