"Staying at the Crowne Plaza Changbai Mountain Hot Spring Resort offered a mixed experience overall. **Highlights:** The hotel's service was truly impressive; all staff members were enthusiastic, responsive, and proactively offered travel advice and asked about our itinerary. The backyard features an adorable petting zoo where you can get up close with sika deer, alpacas, and other small animals, making for a relaxing and therapeutic stroll – perfect for families with children. The hotel also boasts its own volcanic hot springs with both indoor and outdoor pools, which are incredibly comfortable and soothing after a day of hiking. **Drawbacks:** The guest rooms are on the smaller side, feeling a bit cramped. The minibar in the room didn't include any drinks, so we had to call room service for water. The hotel's location is relatively secluded, with very few dining options available outside the hotel, meaning we were largely reliant on the hotel's internal dining, which had limited choices. This hotel is ideal for guests who prioritize hot springs, animal interactions, and excellent service. However, if you have high expectations for room spaciousness or dining outside the hotel, it's advisable to manage your expectations beforehand."

"The hotel's location is excellent, nestled among lush greenery. It truly lives up to its five-star rating with impeccable service. The room amenities are top-notch, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. My group of four friends booked four rooms. The room rate didn't include hot springs, but the hot springs were wonderful. We went in the morning when it was quiet and clean, and the service there was also exceptional. We were told the VIP access to Changbai Mountain was canceled, but the hotel still provided timely shuttle service to the park entrance. Our butler contacted us in advance to arrange check-in and answer any questions. Upon arrival, our luggage was immediately taken to our rooms. They even gave us freshly baked cookies, which were delicious. The hotel is close to the Changbai Mountain scenic area, and we were very satisfied with our stay."

"Excellent! Blue Horizon has been around since I was a kid, and even after all these years, it still maintains its 5-star standard. It feels like staying in a Nordic forest. The restaurant offers wild mountain vegetables with dipping sauce – the kind only true Changbai Mountain locals would recognize. You absolutely must try it! However, I'd suggest they make the portion sizes smaller; there's too much, and it'd be a shame to waste those delicious wild vegetables. The complimentary activities and attractions are also fantastic and definitely worth visiting!"

"This guesthouse was the perfect accommodation for our trip to Changbaishan. We stayed for three nights, and the biggest impression was how dedicated and attentive every staff member was, making every guest feel truly at home. The room facilities were excellent and very clean. A double bed plus a sofa bed was perfect for our family of three. The windows provided excellent soundproofing. My favorite part was quietly relaxing on the balcony every evening. The staff thoughtfully arranged transfers for us, including to and from the high-speed rail station, the North Scenic Area distribution center, and even Deer Park. The front desk prepared fresh cucumbers and tomatoes daily and recommended delicious Korean ethnic cuisine. Every evening after 6 PM, the hot spring pool in the backyard opened. It was so relaxing to soak there after a long day of exploring. The breakfast buffet was very rich, and everything was homemade by the staff. The guesthouse is located in Endu Village, near the entrance to the Chinese Merganser Park, making it very convenient for dining out and strolling along Erdaobaihe River. I highly recommend this guesthouse to every visitor coming to Changbaishan. It will satisfy seniors, adults, and children alike! It's perfect for family travel!"

"Location: It's near Changbaishan Station and offers a shuttle service, but during peak season, three people squeezed into the back row was quite uncomfortable. Room: The room was spacious, and the sofa bed was made up. The split-level setup was relatively comfortable. The hot springs were great. Breakfast variety and taste were just average. The 'Little Explorer' activity turned out to be just hotel staff leading a craft session. There was no public notice or mention at check-in. It was only when I asked at the front desk upon checkout that I was able to get two craft kits."

"It was definitely a wonderful start to our first trip to Changbai Mountain by staying at 长白山书院天池酒店. The transportation arrangements were excellent and made our journey much easier. As first-time visitors to Changbai Mountain, we truly appreciated the thoughtful planning and seamless coordination. Everything was organized to a genuine five-star standard. Although hotel rates in Changbai Mountain are understandably higher during the peak season in July, we found this hotel to offer excellent value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable, comparable to a suite, and the hotel is professionally managed with great attention to detail. Many of the services provided by the hotel are complimentary or offered at very reasonable prices, which was a pleasant surprise during such a busy travel season. The dinner was another highlight. It was delicious, with generous portions, and cost only around CNY168. It was more than enough for our family of two adults and one young child. The breakfast is a must-try if you stay here. It is far more impressive than a typical hotel breakfast and feels more like a premium buffet dinner in terms of variety and quality. The hotel is clean, peaceful, and conveniently located near the North Entrance tourist gathering point of Changbai Mountain. The hotel also provides transportation, and the journey takes only about three minutes, making the visit extremely convenient. Another lovely surprise was the two deer in the hotel garden. Guests can feed them with the Chinese dates prepared by the hotel restaurant, which became a memorable experience for our little one. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families travelling with children or elderly parents. Although the room rate may appear high at first glance during peak season, it includes breakfast, transportation, and many thoughtful services that truly enhance the overall experience. After staying here, we felt the value fully justified the price. Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the hotel team. "The overall facilities are decent, and the front desk service is quite warm and attentive. The breakfast selection is基本合格 (basically acceptable). However, there's significant room for improvement in the details: 1. The cleaning was not thorough. Upon check-in, we found a large puddle of water under the clothes drying rack where the disposable slippers were stored, and it hadn't been cleaned. It took two calls to housekeeping for staff to arrive. 2. The complimentary hot spring tickets were generally okay, but it was unclear if it was real hot spring water, and the different pools showed no differences other than temperature. 3. The complimentary activities were all quite far from the hotel, and it was almost impossible to get a taxi there and back. The hotel also didn't provide shuttle services. I understand it's peak tourist season, and your reception capacity is limited, but don't forget you're one of the most expensive hotels in town. Is this the kind of service we get for such a price? This alone isn't enough to give you a low rating. What's most infuriating and incomprehensible is your hotel's airport/station drop-off service this afternoon. We booked a 13:00 departure, but the hotel only contacted us 10 minutes beforehand. Before the scheduled time, they inexplicably accused us of delaying and aggressively rushed us. With our luggage, we originally needed a whole car, but were forced to share a ride with others. They even blamed us, with a rude, lazy, and extremely impatient attitude! Is this the service quality of Erdaobaihe, a famous cultural and tourism town? Fortunately, we took several other taxis, and all the other drivers, including the one who picked us up, were very professional. Only your driver, with the license plate ending in 2227, doesn't fear tarnishing the reputation of Changbaishan people!! Afterwards, a so-called 'travel butler' called me to ask what happened. His attitude was also arrogant; he didn't even say hello! Have you studied law? Do you have investigative power? Reflect on your service first! I'm not obligated to repeat myself to you! I'm not complaining for the sake of it, nor do I need to file a complaint, but I must express my true feelings to you! Please reflect on your service quality for the sake of this beautiful sacred land!"

"This Japanese-style hotel is incredibly detailed, located right in the heart of Endori. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with an atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed the moment you step in. The staff are all very enthusiastic and will proactively help with luggage at the parking lot. The hotel has a courtyard design with rooms spread across different three-story buildings that lack elevators, but staff are always on hand to assist with luggage up and down the stairs. It offers butler service, so anything you need is quickly delivered to your room. The hotel's hot spring facilities also show great attention to detail. I booked a private onsen in my room, while my family used the public bathing area from their regular room, and they all gave excellent feedback. What's more, the next day, after returning from Tianchi completely soaked, I went to the women's bath to change and noticed that all the skincare products were Decorté, and the attendant there was also very welcoming. Since we had a car booked to Tianchi early the next morning, the hotel staff even delivered our takeaway breakfast to our room before our scheduled departure time. This was incredibly thoughtful! I stayed at two hotels in Changbaishan this trip, and this one was the most surprising. Perhaps because it's newly opened, I felt the quality far exceeded the price. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. The complimentary razor was surprisingly nice and high-quality, so much so that I asked customer service for four more. The wooden comb provided in the room was also very exquisite and beautiful, and I requested four of those as well. They also offer afternoon tea, and you can tell them when you'd like it served. The room design was unique, featuring both a bed and a tatami area, which was spacious enough for our family of four. The hotel's location is also fantastic, nestled within Endu. They even provide a dedicated shuttle service to Changbai Mountain, which is very convenient. Breakfast was plentiful, and the evenings were lively. Right outside the hotel, there are many restaurants. All in all, it was a great stay!"

"This is clearly a very traditional and grand hotel. They gave us a fridge magnet and upgraded our room for free. Unlimited access to the hot springs for 2 adults and 1 child: Good. Hygiene: A reputable hotel, so I felt reassured. Service: The breakfast selection was rich and varied, and the service was attentive."
