Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, cozy, and the staff were very accommodating from check-in until checkout. They even offered complimentary coffee and tea upon arrival which was such a nice touch. What made our stay extra special was how they surprised our son with a birthday cake and restaurant credit for his birthday. Super thoughtful and truly appreciated. Our stay at Caribou Lodge was perfect! Exactly what we were expecting. The proximity to downtown is great - 10 minute walk or you could take the ROAM bus straight downtown. The hotel has character and we had the perfect stay. All staff was super friendly and inviting. The front desk employee was super helpful and explained our ROAM passes and the other amenities perfectly. Loved that Rocky Mountain Soap Co was in all the bathrooms, too! All in all, a great experience for a great price and I would highly recommend it. 

The hotel feels a bit dated, but the room was spacious, neat, and tidy. The towels weren't sparkling white but were acceptable. My favorite part was the bathroom amenities—the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion were amazing! The only downside was the pool hours (9 AM - 9 PM); we got back past 10 PM and couldn't use it. It would be perfect if they could extend the pool hours.

The room was spacious and the kitchen was very convenient. The hotel is a bit old, but the environment is still quite good. It's good value for money. It's a bit far from the town, but there's a free shuttle bus, although sometimes the timing is hard to catch. Free parking is available, making it suitable for families with cars.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Banff. It's located right on the main street. While it's a bit of a walk to the areas with more shops and restaurants, there's a bus stop very close by, so we just used the local shuttle bus for shopping and dining and didn't find it inconvenient at all. They even provided free shuttle bus tickets. It was also really convenient that the Calgary airport shuttle and various tours could be boarded and disembarked near the hotel. The room, although a bit older, was clean and even had a hot tub, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. We opted out of breakfast this time, but they gave us tickets to purchase breakfast for $15.

Very comfortable and fantastic! The hotel is clean and hygienic, and it has a kitchen, shower, and free public transportation. It's really great and convenient for getting around, exceeding my expectations.

We stayed at Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff from March 26–29 with my 7-year-old daughter, and overall we had a great experience. Check-in was simple and straightforward. We arrived in the early evening, and Jason at the front desk was the most approachable and helpful hotel staff member I have ever dealt with. He remembered my daughter’s name, greeted her every day, checked in with us throughout our stay, and added little touches that made the trip feel extra special for both of us. The renovated room itself was fairly standard for a hotel room, but comfortable. Our room had two queen beds, which worked well for us. The bathroom had a shower only, with no bathtub, but that was not an issue. The pillows were big and lumpy, all 8 of the pillows in our room were too high/tall for my daughter to use comfortably. There are robes provided in the room, it would be a nice touch if they could also provide kids size robes. We had a mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, and kettle with tea provided in the room. We ordered room service one night and tried the pulled pork poutine, which was the daily special from the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not very good, and I would not recommend it. The TV included free cable and on-demand programming, as well as pay-per-view movies. I had brought my laptop and an HDMI cord, and we were able to connect it to the TV easily to watch our own movies. Watching on-demand, my daughter discovered The Simpsons and loved it (lol) The pool area was a big highlight for us. The pool is salt water rather than chlorine. The water itself was on the cooler side, but there was also a good-sized hot tub and a large steam room. My daughter quickly made friends with another family staying at the hotel, and the kids spent multiple hours a day in the pool together. The gym was small but functional. In the four days we were there, it was empty every time we walked by. Parking is $20 per day, which does add up. There is also free street parking behind the hotel if you are able to find a spot. One fun feature in the lobby was the robot, which the kids absolutely loved. We were told that after construction is complete, it will be delivering items to guest rooms. During our stay it moved around the lobby, told jokes, and handed out free apples. The hotel was reasonably priced compared with other options in the area. I chose it specifically for the pool setup, knowing we would be spending a lot of time there, and it worked out really well for that. Shops and restaurants on the main street were about a 10-minute walk away, or you could take the bus that stops outside the neighboring hotel for $2 per ride, with kids riding free. I would definitely stay here again in the future. The price, location, rooms, and pool make this a very family-friendly hotel option in Banff. Biggest thank you to Jason at the front desk for the spectacular service we enjoyed.

We had a fantastic stay at the Fox Hotel and Suites. The room was wonderful, very clean, and perfectly equipped for a cozy mountain getaway. The views from the property were absolutely beautiful—surrounded by the stunning scenery of Banff. What made our stay even better was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is unique and charming. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Banff, and we will definitely return! 5/5 stars!

My partner and I stayed here for one night and had a pleasant experience overall. The location was convenient and made it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. The room was comfortable, although the cleanliness could be improved, as there were a few details that housekeeping seemed to have missed. The facilities were fairly basic and a bit dated, but everything worked as expected. Overall, it was a decent stay for the price, and we would consider coming back for a short visit.

Banff's beauty really overshadows any flaws this hotel might have. Its advantages are clear: it's super close to the main street, has a balcony where you can get some fresh air, and I even saw a squirrel! There's a cafe right outside with delicious croissants. The microwave in the room was a pleasant surprise; it was great to be able to heat up some food. All in all, besides being a bit pricey during the summer holidays, everything else was perfect.
