"Check in time is 4pm and checkout time is 11am, which is a ridiculous policy. Fortunately they're flexible about it. Room was nice and clean. Location is amazing; right in the middle of downtown Banff. The parking lot behind the hotel is where Flixbus and the Sunshine Village shuttle stop. Highly recommended."

"I stayed here for two nights in Banff and had a very pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, allowing me to rest well after a long day exploring the mountains. I would like to especially thank Marilyn, who was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. She made the check-in process smooth and was professional and welcoming. Her warm attitude truly made a difference. The location was convenient, with easy access to downtown Banff, restaurants, and nearby attractions. "Surprising cabin, we had a pleasant 2 nights here. The room was clean and tidy, the kitchen and living room were together, the bedroom was bigger than expected, and the bedding was very comfortable. There is heating, the fireplace can also be used, we asked the staff to help us make the fire. There are microwave ovens and induction cookers, simple kitchen utensils, we went to the supermarket to buy ingredients and made dinner by ourselves. In the evening, there was a deer eating grass on the lawn downstairs. The hotel has its own soup pool, which is very small, we are too tired to go soak. The staff is very welcoming and the old-fashioned door lock is not very easy to use."

"Right in the middle of town. The location is very convenient, right in the middle of town. The bakery I was looking for was within a minute's walk. It was convenient for me to go buy lunch when I was on a tour that didn't include lunch. The staff were friendly and the facilities were good. However, since it was a hotel in the city, the only view I could see from the window was of the parking lot."

"Great value for money. Easy stroll to ski bus stop and the town centre, but a quiet, secluded location. Our room was very clean and spacious. Coffee and tea making, plus fridge, tv etc... were fine and a microwave was available in the hallway. The room was warm, however difficult to control the room temp and unfortunately an air con vent was always on and not controllable. Therefore a background noise all the time. The decor was also a little dated. However, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the next door hotel provided a smart pool and sauna area, as well as a great restaurant for breakfasts. Overall a good experience and would definitely consider staying again."

"We were happy with this place. It seems dated but in nice repair (much like our home and ourselves). We wanted it mostly for the fireplace but the room had more than that with a full kitchen and full size appliances. If we ever wanted to be in Banff and make substantial home cooked food, this would be ideal. The bed was great and the staff very kind and friendly. It is in a natural mountain area just five minutes by car from downtown Banff. We had a balcony looking at a Mountain view and deer in the yard in front of the unit. There is bus service into town and free tickets offered by the resort. There is a water slide and an indoor and outdoor hot tub which is nice but not really a breathtaking setting. If you enjoy corn mazes this building has a lot of routing in it that takes a while to learn. We joked with other guests about that. All in all, pretty okay. We would book here again."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Banff Aspen Lodge! Location is a solid 5/5 — close to everything we needed and super convenient for exploring Banff. As a couple traveling on a budget, we found the price very reasonable, almost comparable to the nearby hostel, which made the comfort and quality here feel like an even better value. Special shoutout to their toilet amenities — they smelled so good they actually made us walk into the Rocky Mountain Soap store afterward and buy things we definitely didn’t need (lol). No regrets though! The breakfast was superb, delicious, fresh, and a perfect start to our days. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely stay here again!"

"We had an incredible stay at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Banff. From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. "Wonderful hotel. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Parking garage was big but could use signage! The hot pools were refreshing. Lots of cozy areas to sit and relax- perfect for a couples retreat. Would have enjoyed a coffee and water station, and a spot to grab a muffin or fruit. Aside from that, zero complaints here! "I had a wonderful two-night stay in Banff. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well organized. After long days enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, it was the perfect place to relax. GGuest UserWe did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time. The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great. We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated. One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection. The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions. We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day.
