The hotel is new and clean. The room is big and comfortable. They have small gym, and also laundry room. The concierge people were so sweet, they did our laundry, dried it, and also sent it back to our room. The pillows are really comfortable, thats why they have it for sale too. Breakfast is also nice and simple. Would recommend to come to this hotel. It is a walking distance to shopping malls and also some restaurants.

Before check-in, I received a warm welcome call asking about my arrival time and room preferences. They were very accommodating with my requests for a high floor and a quiet, non-smoking room. The check-in process was quick upon arrival, and they even offered delicious tea. Breakfast was a buffet, so everyone could choose what they liked – very satisfied!

The location itself is quite good, right next to Jinan West Railway Station. However, due to so-called aerial photography of the station, the hotel's facade was completely removed. The sign for Jinan West Railway Station was now on top, but I couldn't find it the first time I went there. The promised early check-in was not fulfilled. The service is only 2 points, and I can't get more than that. A good attitude is useless if the service is not good. Jinan is still beautiful in the rain, and the springs are so clear that you can see the bottom.

Jinan in early autumn is beautiful, and this hotel truly enhances the experience. It's in a great location, not far from Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring, and Daming Lake—all within walking distance for a leisurely stroll. The surrounding Baihuazhou historical district is also lovely for a walk, especially when lit up at night. The hotel breakfast is plentiful; I particularly enjoyed the warm Jinan Chatang, where you can add various dried fruits yourself. Upon checking out, they even gave us delicate pastries, telling us we could eat them on our journey, which was incredibly thoughtful. I've already recommended it to friends who are planning to visit.

We chose this hotel for our child's high school entrance exam. After comparing several hotels in the area, we ultimately picked the City Intercontinental Hotel because it was incredibly clean and tidy, with stylish decor. The bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete and new. What stood out the most was its excellent location. Friends visiting Jinan are in luck! The City Intercontinental Hotel by Daming Lake is right next to the subway, making travel incredibly convenient. The hotel's biggest highlight was its exceptionally thoughtful service. The front desk and staff were so welcoming. We had originally booked a Deluxe Queen Room, but when the hotel learned our child was taking the exam, they specially upgraded us to a Grand Deluxe Queen Room free of charge. It was much quieter and more comfortable, allowing our child to settle in, study, and rest well – which will surely lead to excellent exam results. After checking in, every housekeeping staff member we met greeted us with a big smile, which was incredibly heartwarming! This guesthouse came highly recommended, and I can see why! I initially expected a run-of-the-mill B&B, but I was absolutely blown away the moment I walked in. The lobby and courtyard feature a charming new Chinese style, complete with bluestone rockeries and the soothing sound of flowing springs. Its central location is fantastic; despite being right next to the bustling Furong Street and Qushui Pavilion, it boasts an incredibly quiet courtyard – truly an oasis of calm in the city. We stayed in a room with a private courtyard, and as soon as we entered, my child made a beeline for the swing chair and had a blast. The room itself was incredibly well-equipped: a comfortable king-sized bed, a large bathtub that my child loved splashing around in, and a shower with great water pressure. Everything was spotlessly clean, which was reassuring when traveling with a child. The staff at Courtyard No. 8 were exceptionally warm, attentive, and always ready to help, assisting us with our luggage and guiding us through the check-in process. We took so many beautiful photos in the courtyard during our stay. Absolutely fantastic!

The breakfast service was excellent, and the congee station was a real highlight. I loved the hotel's 'cheese-like' design; it reminded me of a dormitory I lived in during university – which was also a former hotel converted into student housing, and coincidentally, also located next to a university. This hotel is right by a university too. Overall, everything met my expectations, highly recommend. Picture 3 shows a comparison of the view from my 'cheese-wedge' room at that old dorm – my university was in the Northeast, so many memories flooding back! 😆

I booked a smart king room, and the front desk staff upgraded me to a newly renovated suite from a few years ago. Since it was recently renovated, it was very clean – excellent! I always stay at Zhonghao when I go to Jinan; the environment is really good. Both the floor staff and front desk staff are very friendly. The breakfast offers a good variety, but it's not as good as before. The cleanliness of the tables really needs improvement; they were sticky and had oil stains.

The room was clean and simple, and the hotel environment felt very new. It was a really pleasant experience staying here during my business trip to Shandong. The front desk staff were very attentive; we had a standard room for four people, and they proactively upgraded us to a four-person breakfast. The breakfast itself was surprisingly excellent and very rich. For this price, the value for money, service, dining, environment, and cleanliness are all fantastic. It's definitely worth a huge thumbs-up from me. I highly recommend everyone to stay here if you get the chance! Oh, and another thing, there are tons of places to eat nearby… very food-friendly!

Reception, location and room are great for the price you pay. My gripe is with the breakfast reception. We entered and told them our room number. Just before getting our food, the lady told us that someone has claimed the breakfast with our room number and we cannot eat here unless we pay extra for our meal. Even though I insisted we haven't eaten and we are the actual occupants, the lady repeated a few times that the breakfast has been claimed and we can't eat. Eventually she relented when I told her to take a look at my friend who is clearly a foreigner and insisted that she check the CCTV. I get that mix-ups are probably rare, but to immediately insinuate that we are thiefs who are trying to take advantage of (a pretty mediocre) hotel breakfast at an airport hotel is unbelievable. Especially given that my friend is clearly not of East Asian descent! It left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. I don't know why the SOP isn't to make sure that we are the actual guests and give us benefit of doubt.
