Hotel near Shinbashi,Tokyo
A 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station. Close to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Ginza, and more, this hotel is extremely convenient for sightseeing in Tokyo. It's also close to Tokyo Tower and located along the JR Yamanote Line, making travel very easy. The room type is a mixed-gender dormitory room.

"Price affordable place suitable for backpackers and solo traveling. I'm not renting the sharing beds but solo tiny rooms, the bed is actually not that small, so you can store the things in the underneath locker and the suitcase placed outside. But make sure to be quiet because there's no actual doors. I didn't really sleep well but earplugs helped a bit, the shower and common area are acceptable. Nice staff that answered a lot question and recommended me restaurant with curry, even if she is a part time, I liked her a lot. The location is near to many restaurant in shimbashi,(but be careful if late night) and only 15minutes walk to Ginza, it's also near to many tourists places."

"An absolute gem in Tokyo! I had an incredible stay at this hotel and would happily book it again on my next trip to Japan. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was exceptional. The front desk staff went above and beyond, warmly greeting me every single time I entered and exited the building. They even provided free matcha and toiletries. The room itself was perfect. It was stocked with excellent free amenities, and the bed was incredibly soft, leading to some of the best sleep I have ever had while traveling. On top of that, the location is unbeatable, sitting just a short distance from major local attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough!"

"This hostel is really great! Even though it's a shared dorm, you still get a good sense of privacy. The showers are plentiful and super clean. They also have a washer and dryer (only 300 yen combined!). The elevator is a huge plus! There's a fridge for your food and a microwave available. Around the hostel, there are restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores open all the time. It's super close to Meguro Station, making travel incredibly convenient. They provide hair dryers too. Fresh towels are given daily. The staff here are incredibly lovely. I stayed from April 22-28. It seemed my slippers were collected on the morning of April 24th, and I happened to bump into a male staff member. I asked for a new pair, and he immediately brought them to me. So sweet! I wish the check-out time could be extended a bit. 10 AM is a little early; I'd love it if it could be 11:30 AM or even 12:00 PM."

"Traveling solo to Tokyo, I'd never stayed in a hostel or capsule hotel before. But with Tokyo's high prices, I ended up choosing this Mystay after a lot of comparison. I figured after years in student dorms, there wasn't much I couldn't handle. It was actually better than I expected. The design with the bed on top and luggage storage underneath is great, much better than bunk beds for easily accessing your belongings. However, it's a double-edged sword; some guests rummaging through their bags in the middle of the night can disturb your sleep. The bed was comfortable, and perhaps the relatively narrow, enclosed space gives a sense of security. Though, looking at the ceiling's shape, it does make you wonder if it's suitable for an eternal rest... During my stay, I noticed groups of Korean and Western travelers who would chat loudly and comfortably in the common area, often forgetting it's a shared space that requires quiet. Personally, I find the sound of people tidying up acceptable, but I can't stand loud conversations. It feels disrespectful, and those guests seem too self-absorbed. I suggest the hotel should emphasize the need for quiet in common areas to groups traveling together. The downsides regarding facilities are that the fan only provides ventilation and isn't very effective; it also can't regulate temperature, so it often got too hot to sleep at night. Also, the duvet insert constantly came out of its cover. While the hotel surely washes these regularly, it didn't feel very clean. I hope they can secure the duvet cover with ties or clips. Overall, it's still quite good. If the average price were around 200 RMB per night, it would be excellent. However, I paid nearly 600 RMB for one night, which made it incredibly poor value for money."

"Before my arrival, I had to change my reservation due to a personal matter, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful in processing it. I was also very pleased that they assigned me a good bed upon check-in. The only minor drawback was that the lockers weren't on the same floor, unlike at the Ningyocho branch, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory."

At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"I've stayed at many Dormy Inn hotels, and this time I chose the Korakuen location in Tokyo. The facilities are consistent with other branches, and the hot spring is on the basement level, so there's no outdoor bath like some other locations. Breakfast was decent. I have two complaints, though. First, this hotel might be an old building renovation, as the elevators are incredibly slow; you have to wait ages every time. Second, at other Dormy Inn branches, you can self-check-in, but here, the front desk insisted we check in with them manually. Their efficiency was terrible; it wasted so much of our time and was slower than if we had done it ourselves. I really wonder what they're thinking sometimes!"

"For a short trip I would 10/10 recommend this, but for longer trips, I would maybe choose something else. During my 12 day stay, they didnt change my bedsheet a single time nor did I see any possibility mentioned anywhere (most JP hotels will ask to do it daily, i.e. dropping a card at the counter, etc.). Also, some things like earplugs, slippers, etc. are only provided once and not provided again, unless specifically asked and then they are only available behind in the staff only area on the 6th floor, so that's quite bothersome (most capsule hotels also do provide everything on a daily base and drop it next to ones room, but I didnt mind the self service for the most part if everything was self service though). Location is very nice though, price also reasonable, however yeah, they should for sure fix those things (i.e. asking whether one wants to have their bedsheets changed like once a week at least) or make more things self-service, that would work already. For like 1-4 days, I can totally recommend it though."

Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers, complimentary toiletries, and bidets. "We stayed at Cafe OUR OUR hostel for 4 nights. Apart from the usual girls chatting away until past 11, the hostel itself was wonderful. They have free towels for showers with cotton buds and hairdryers with an additional onsen hot tub type room! They had toothbrushes, earbuds, body towels and hairbrushes for you outside the room to take. Checking in and out was easy, however it was sometimes difficult to find a member of staff without wondering throughout the whole hostel due to their working on the 1st or 2nd floor at different times. The lights are consistently on in the all female dorm, but this doesn’t affect your sleep as your cubby hole with the pull down blind makes it very cosy and dark enough. The chill our lounge is outside the all female dorm and is open until 11pm. If you return to the hostel after 11pm, the entrance area has a buzz in code where a member of staff can let you in. This hostel is close to the Asakusabashi (8-10 minute walk) or close to Kuramae station and square cafe (15 minute walk)."

"I was personally happy that the drink bar and curry were free. The facilities were clean and the amenities were plentiful. (Not only toothbrushes and brushes, but also cleansing and skincare products. The napkins were a nice touch!) If you're not picky about amenities or the hotel room itself, this is a great option as it means you won't have to carry around much luggage! There were three things that bothered me. 1. The cabin felt stale and had a peculiar smell. However, turning on the exhaust fan quickly cleared it up. 2. The dining area was cold. I agree that a cool room is desirable after a bath or coming back from outside in the summer, but many women, especially, are prone to feeling cold, so I thought it might not have been too much. 3. I think it was just a coincidence, but the towels that were supposed to be in the room were missing. I went all the way to the first floor to get them, but there was no apology or excuse. Well, maybe it's not something worth complaining about, but the fact that they went all the way to the first floor to get them and then said, ”Oh, this is it.” was a bit off-putting. I'm not saying they should apologize sincerely, but since the customer went out of their way to pick it up, I think it would be polite to at least say something like ”I'm sorry” or ”Thank you for taking the time.” (Sorry if it's a hassle.) Overall, it was very good. Unless you're sensitive to minor noises or have a germaphobia, I think you'll enjoy it, unlike a regular hotel."
