5-Star Hotels in Sichuan, China

We stayed for two nights in a suite at the Hyatt Regency Chengdu (the review mistakenly says Chongqing), and since we were on vacation, we really indulged in food and drinks – a big thanks to the housekeeping staff! The dining table in the suite was large and very convenient, and the staff were incredibly patient, bringing us plates and glasses whenever we needed them. The living room was also super spacious. The hotel's overall design is simple yet refined, blending modernity with comfort. Every detail showcased quality and thoughtfulness. The bedding, in particular, was exceptionally comfortable; we slept wonderfully and didn't want to leave. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but this one definitely has the most comfortable bedding. We were on a high floor, room 3336, which offered panoramic views of the bustling city. The view was expansive during the day and dazzling at night, truly invigorating. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. What's even more commendable is the hotel staff's warm and professional service; their attention to detail made us feel right at home from check-in to check-out. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Chengdu!

On the second night of our stay, right before bed, we noticed a few mosquitoes. We initially thought it was just one or two, but then we looked at the ceiling and saw them everywhere – many weren't even mosquitoes, probably over 30 in total. We called the front desk at 1 AM, and they seemed quite dismissive, not even coming to check the room. After two calls, the hotel suggested we switch rooms. To our dismay, the new room also had a lot of mosquitoes. Only after strongly insisting did they find a can of insect repellent. After half an hour of spraying, the duvet and floor were covered in dead mosquitoes and other flying insects. We asked if they could change the sheets and pillowcases, but that was a whole other story – there was no housekeeping staff available, and even though the security guard was diligent, he wasn't trained for housekeeping duties. I honestly recommend installing mosquito screens; it's astonishing to have so many flying insects and mosquitoes on the 23rd floor.

Service: Extremely satisfied! Before checking in, I communicated that I was traveling with a child and hoped for some kid-friendly arrangements. The staff responded promptly and meticulously decorated the room with balloons and a small astronaut lamp, which my child adored. They also gifted a chestnut children's picture book and a little lion fridge magnet, and had child amenities, plus two cute rubber duckies, ready in advance. My child was thrilled, and we, the adults, were equally pleased! 👍 When my child wandered to the front desk, a staff member proactively gave them a puzzle. During check-in and check-out, they were very helpful with inquiries and directions, and assisted with luggage, demonstrating excellent service. Daily Double Ritz-Carlton Executive Lounge Benefits: Five meals a day truly filled us up! The main courses were cooked fresh by a chef on-site, and other dishes, though not numerous, were exquisite. I particularly loved the wide selection of salads! There was a great variety of alcoholic beverages, and you could even mix your own cocktails in the evening. All the staff were wonderful and thoughtful. Although the late-night meal was primarily for drinks and children couldn't dine, they brought back several hash browns and chocolates for my child, which was super satisfying. For breakfast, we went downstairs for a wider selection. The panda latte art was adorable, and they even offered lunchboxes for kids to take food with them, very kid-friendly! 👍 Hygien: The room was very clean, amenities were promptly replaced, and turn-down service was proactively offered. Coming back to a clean and tidy room after a day out truly lifts your spirits! 👍

A truly memorable stay in Chengdu. What I appreciated most about Shangri-La Chengdu was not only the comfort of the hotel itself, but the atmosphere and people behind it. The property feels elegant yet calm — a wonderful contrast to the energy of the city. The riverside surroundings were especially suitable for a light jog along the river, while the peaceful ambiance and warm Asian hospitality made the stay feel genuinely relaxing. The Horizon Club experience was especially outstanding and absolutely worth it. The team’s attentiveness was exceptional in a very natural and thoughtful way. They remembered small details, preferences, and routines with such grace that the stay felt personal rather than transactional. Luxury can be found in many hotels, but sincere hospitality is much rarer. The Horizon Club team especially “Miss Juliana Liu” created exactly that feeling — warm, attentive, professional, yet never intrusive. Breakfast, lounge service, evening cocktails, and the overall quiet atmosphere made it easy to slow down and truly enjoy Chengdu. This hotel gave me the feeling of experiencing both comfort and the softer, more elegant side of the city. I would gladly return again.

I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Chengdu, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made me feel like I was returning home, not just checking into a hotel. Every touchpoint—from the seamless check-in to the delightful breakfast service and the ever-smiling lobby staff—was filled with genuine care and attentiveness. It’s rare to find a team that consistently goes above and beyond, but the JW Marriott Chengdu truly embodies the spirit of heartfelt hospitality. What elevated our stay from wonderful to absolutely perfect was Xiaoxiao (小肖). Her communication was not only professional and timely but also incredibly detailed and caring. She took the time to understand our needs and thoughtfully coordinated every little detail to make our Mother’s Day trip smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. Thanks to Xiaoxiao, my mother felt truly celebrated and cherished throughout our stay. This is actually the hotel I regularly stay at when I am in Chengdu, because of its central location. It never disappoints.

Woo... an absolutely fantastic stay at the upscale Joyhub Air Hotel! On April 20th, 2026, check-in was a breeze – quick, no deposit required, just a passport registration. The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is excellent, and the room was spotless with a cozy duvet on the bed – everything I could ask for. The room itself was very spacious, offering a relaxing garden view outside, which I captured in many photos. After settling in, I explored the hotel's facilities, which were also stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet dinner; there was a huge variety of delicious food. I paid CNY 298 / RM 178 (for 2 people) in cash, as Alipay wasn't accepted. There weren't many tourists dining, and every dish was incredibly tasty. The next day, April 21st, I tidied up my room before checking out. I left the room at 4:45 AM and returned my key card at the reception, and check-out was also quick. It's about a 10-minute leisurely walk from the hotel to the airport terminal – you just cross a bridge to enter the airport. At the airport, female customs officers scan you before entry. The hotel is directly opposite Terminal 1. I would happily recommend this place to my family and friends. My stay here was excellent! The king room I was given was very spacious, and the bedding was so comfortable I slept soundly. The hotel's amenities are top-notch; the pool and gym facilities are complete and well-maintained, which was really convenient for relaxing and exercising in my free time. The service staff were incredibly kind and provided meticulous, thoughtful service throughout my entire stay, making the experience truly wonderful. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

The new hotel had no formaldehyde smell, the rooms were large and beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. The bed wasn't the super soft type, and the pillows—one high and one low—were a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, being on the second floor, it was quiet at night, and I slept very well. The surrounding environment was great, perfect for taking photos, and the service was excellent. It's rare to find such a satisfying hotel.

The hotel is really close to the scenic area's entrance, which is super convenient. They let us store our luggage, and even after checking out, we could still relax in the lobby and have some tea, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. My only minor complaint is that the room felt a bit small, making the air feel a little stuffy. Other than that, everything else was fine.

My stay at The St. Regis Chengdu was a journey enveloped in warmth and delightful surprises. What touched me most was the St. Regis's signature butler service. The butler, keenly noticing we had a child with us, proactively and swiftly set up a bed rail in the room. This kind of thoughtful, forward-thinking care made us feel incredibly secure and at ease. Beyond that, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, 'Yan Ting,' for three consecutive evenings. Every meal was an ultimate culinary delight, with exquisite and heartwarming dishes that completely captured our hearts. From the reassuring comfort of our room to the captivating food, The St. Regis Chengdu provided us with an impeccable stay—not just a physical rest, but also a balm for the soul. Highly recommend, five stars!
