Hotel near Raohe Street Night Market,Taipei
The Charming City Songshan Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Charming City Songshan Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Taipei for those traveling for business or leisure. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Songshan Station located approximately 400m away and Taipei Songshan Airport roughly 4km away. Being just minutes away from Songshan Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Songshan Ciyou Temple, Raohe Street Tourist Night Market and Linkou Park all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"The reception staff is super nice- when I arrived with a bruised knee (luggage cart at T1 has malfunctioned wheels bumped at my leg), the young man assisted me with check-in while I’m sitting nearby; & arranged an accessible room on site at no extra cost. Bathtub inside rooms super nice as shown in pic. Tho I only stay for one night, their kindness is much appreciated. So I highly recommend this hotel … while it’s a bit dated, the staff works to the best to ensure I have a great stay there. Will try to visit the night market next time; & Citylink nearby is a super big mall with plenty of eateries. Thank you again for accommodating my needs while I’m travelling."

GGuest UserThe view was fantastic, with a clear sight of Taipei 101 in the distance. The room had a convenient table, perfect for a quick bite or a drink. Since it was an anniversary celebration, the hotel kindly provided a bottle of champagne, which really set a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all polite and had excellent service. And the breakfast was really good too! ♡

GGuest UserWe recently had the pleasure of staying at the Humble Boutique Hotel from March 30 to April 5, 2026, for our first sightseeing trip to Taipei. We would like to express our genuine gratitude for the hospitality we received during our six-day visit. Commendable Service & Hospitality The true highlight of our stay was the staff. From the concierge and housekeeping teams to the gym and restaurant staff, everyone worked diligently to ensure the hotel ran smoothly. We were particularly impressed by the team’s English proficiency; communication was seamless, making us and the many international guests we encountered feel very much at home. We would like to extend a special thank you to: * Kaley, Tina, and Mary at the restaurant for their attentive service. * Our dedicated housekeeper (the kind lady from Vietnam) who looked after our room on the 9th floor. Excellent Facilities & Location * Prime Accessibility: The hotel’s location in the central district is incredibly convenient. Being just steps away from the MRT station made our sightseeing effortless, and the 30-minute shuttle ride from the airport was very efficient. COMPACT GYM: It’s compact but contains most of the equipments I need including treadmill, stairclimbers, Multi- purpose gym stations and dumbbell.  WARM SWIMMING POOL: nice, long and warm - the water is kept at a temperature of 28 degree. Towel will be provided. Make sure to bring your own swimming hat if you prefer to swim. * Accommodations: Our corner King Room on the 9th floor was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided a very cozy retreat after a long day of exploring. * Wellness & Dining: We enjoyed the well-equipped, compact gym and the lovely heated pool, which was maintained at a comfortable 28°C. Furthermore, the semi-buffet breakfast on the 2nd floor was a daily highlight. Each of the five main course options was delicious and well-prepared. Constructive Reflections In the spirit of helpfulness, we noticed two small areas for potential improvement. First, the installation of a few coin-operated laundry machines would be a wonderful convenience for long-term travelers. Second, as the hotel is so centrally located, there is some audible road noise even on the higher floors; however, this is understandable given the prime location. FINAL We would rate our experience a 9.5/10. Had there been laundry facilities, it would have been a perfect 10. The Humble Boutique Hotel will undoubtedly be our first choice when we return to Taipei. Thank you for making our first visit so memorable.

BbabyjobeI love the hotel offer of tub inclusive shower room, giving me the maximum comfort after a long day of touring through taipei! Even further, the hotel offers the bath salt for relaxation that reduces my muscle stress. Moreover, it offers a small baby chair for me to take shower with full convenience! This is 100% Amazing Grace!

GGuest UserExcellent and very friendly service throughout my entire stay from doorman to concierge to front desk to housekeeping to restaurant to gym. Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

AAnonymous UserEnjoyed our stay so much that we booked an extra night to rest and roam around before our flight. Super convenient access to the airport rail. Y13 exit has a ramp, escalator, and elevator. East Gate of Taipei Main Station, where Klook tours depart, is also just a short walk away so that was a big plus. My husband enjoyed the latte from the free coffee machine. Great beef noodle (Liu Shandong) and stinky tofu place (Ah Qua) also nearby. Highly recommended at the price point. Will stay again. Guests who have difficulty walking and using the stairs might want to reconsider.

SSurana SukumaranBetter than expected. It’s quite good for the price. It’s not bad. Is clean. Basement room is fine (do not book the single room - my friend booked that and it’s tiny!). The hotel has a nice style. I liked it actually. What could improve : slippers are crap - like wearing a plastic bag (how much does a reasonable one cost ? 1$?). Chair should add a simple cushion to make it look better and cozy. Noise of water flow in toilet when someone above uses toilet is a bit annoying.

LLuv to travelDue to its strategic location near Ximenting, this hotel commands a price premium. However is it really value for money? Not really. The sound proofing is really bad. We were given rooms at the 3rd floor. You can clearly hear the noise from traffic below and even louder conversations from pedestrians along the street, including a lunatic screaming vulgar curses at the hotel from the ground floor at 2.10am. Supposed to be equipped with laundromats (for a fee) but these were down the three days we were staying there. Breakfast was mostly Chinese selections with toasted bread and pastry choices. Reception was robotic, no smiles, all following an SOP which they don’t deviate from. All your questions have been anticipated so you should be patient and hold them. They will be answered at the end. Honestly no one needs to stay near to Ximenting for the entire trip, with subway and public transport so convenient. And you don’t go there every night so cast your net wider and you have more choices with better service and comfort.

LLilyeen_The hotel's location is fantastic, right outside Metro Exit 5. The only slight drawback is the soundproofing. We booked a twin room, and it felt like one of the beds was directly above the neighboring room's water pipes, so we'd hear noise every time they turned on the water.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is pretty good, close to the MRT station, and there are several convenience stores right outside. However, what I really need to complain about is the bizarre placement of the showerhead in the bathroom! You can't stand and shower comfortably, and the water inevitably sprays all over the toilet seat and toilet paper (even with the shower curtain drawn properly). Even more horrifying, the hot water is incredibly difficult to regulate; it suddenly blasts out scalding hot water (not just warm).
