Located in Taipei’s Ximending district, just a three-minute walk from the MRT exit, Oani is a tranquil oasis hidden within the heart of the city. Named after “Oasis” and the Latin word “Ani” (spirit), it is designed to support travelers seeking calm, rhythm, and inner restoration. Created by skilLABility, the space features natural materials and soft, rippling light that evokes the gentle expansion of water waves—Oani’s signature quiet and reassuring aesthetic.
Each guestroom is equipped with the medical-grade air purification system “Clean Station CS101 Max,” which uses patented plasma sterilization technology to eliminate bacteria and PM0.3 particles. Whether day or night, guests can feel a true sense of safety with consistently clean air.
More than a place to stay, Oani is a journey where breath, light, and emotions slowly return to balance. Here, every guest is gently understood and thoughtfully supported—so you may depart renewed, with a better version of yourself.
"The location is super convenient, just across the street from Ximending shopping area.
Even though I only stayed in a bunk bed, it was very comfortable. The bed already had an outlet, and it even had a USB port, so no adapter was needed. Pulling the curtain created a private space, and I also got to meet and chat with my roommates.
The shared bathroom had shower caps, cotton swabs, a hairdryer, and cotton pads. The water temperature was good (though it occasionally fluctuated a bit).
The only minor issues were the shower pressure and the room card. The water pressure wasn't great, which some might find makes it hard to feel fully clean. And I kept forgetting my room card (you need to insert the card to open the door and turn on the lights). Sometimes I'd just want to go to the restroom, then realize I needed the card again when I came back (but if you forget it, the staff can help you open the door).
Everyone gets a large locker, and there are slippers and a big towel provided. The space for luggage is also generous; my 24-inch 'fatty' suitcase fit perfectly.
The staff were friendly and the front desk service was excellent. They tried their best to accommodate any requests, and always greeted me when I entered.
B1 has a shared common area with free massage chairs, desserts, tea bags, dried fruit, and marshmallows. There's also luggage storage, and coin-operated washing machines and dryers.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Taiwan. If I'm with more people, I'd like to try a private room.
Overall, I'm very satisfied."
