"Initially we faced quite a bad experience, we have to push thru to get our request being entertained as this was our 2nd times stayed here within 2 weeks, but we able to approach the duty manager, Mr Jimmy … he was our saviour. They even decorated one of our rooms w simple birthday celebrations and slices of cake 🎂👍👏 Thanks a lot Jimmy for the well done job … keep it up … Btw, so happened that Aston Chefs had a collaboration in Batam, the place we were staying, the breakfast on that day was marvelous …"

"Perfect location for shopping at malls or wet market, massage, cafes etc. Small hotel with great price point. Has everything a nice stay needs. Staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Buffet breakfast sufficient variety with interesting health juices. Twin room is spacious and clean. Shower has sink top with lots space. Love the wall design and smiley face on door that perks up the holiday mood."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Batam's largest shopping mall. The facilities are comprehensive, and the environment is comfortable. The room insulation is great, the bed is very comfortable, and the curtains provide good blackout. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, and they even offered complimentary laundry service. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit."

After a long day of travel, a shower completely washed away all my fatigue. "Stayed at Batam City Hotel recently and the experience was average overall. The room had several maintenance issues — the flooring had visible cracks and we had to wear slippers to avoid getting splinters on our feet. The bathroom shower head was spoiled upon check-in, though the staff did help to replace it after feedback, which I appreciated. Another issue was the aircon. It was quite noisy and the room never really felt cool enough. I requested for a room change but was informed the hotel was fully booked and no alternative room was available, despite checking in on a Thursday during a non-peak period. Service from staff was still polite and responsive, but the room condition and comfort level definitely need improvement."

"Got early check in after submitting two new emails to be registered for Ascott rewards. Assigned to 807 and sighted a few drain flies upon entering, small issue compared to what we faced later. Spotted 2 plaster bagworms, and toilet bowl had bugs surfacing repeatedly despite lid being down. Photos for both attached. Gave feedback to front desk and waited for duty manager to arrive (started waiting from 5.22pm), then went back to room while DM prepared a new room. Waited for about 25 mins and we decided to head to the lobby with our luggage as nothing was happening. We were offered the suite at 808 but tried to explain before entering 808 that the corridor was infested with the insects, he shrugged (prolly language barrier here). 808 had the same issue and the DM initially tried to explain it was not a bug and we had to show him photos on google, and also spotted a bagworm with the worm (photo for second room attached) inside on our way out. We told the DM we did not want an upgraded room, and just wanted a clean room that had no insects. Next room we were offered was 1305 which thankfully had no bugs and smelled a lot fresher. It was 6.07pm when we put our bags down and had to wait “5 mins” for keys to be delivered. Nothing happened after 20 mins and we had a dinner reservation to head to, called front desk and they sent the security guard up to hand us the room keys, not sure this is correct protocol? Around midnight we could hear the tv from next door, luckily front desk sent someone up within minutes. This was more an unlucky experience with inconsiderate guests next door, but soundproofing could be improved as we could hear their doorbell loud and clear when front desk came up to check the situation. Anyway we checked out a day earlier as we didn’t feel comfortable and well-rested."

"Checking was a breeze. Front desk is friendly. International breakfast buffet is good with good varieties. Location of hotel is near to nagoya hill and thamrin. As it is centrally located, taking grab to various destination is really easy.. There isn't anything bad comment on hotel. Will definitely be one of my top choice if I do visit again!"
