The facilities are complete, the location is good, it's clean, the room is big, and the service is decent. The only downside is the inconvenient elevators; several hotels share them, so there's a long wait.

AikanjianmaodemaoThe front desk service at Atour was an absolute delight! The staff were warm and welcoming, and checked me in within minutes. Any requests for amenities were handled promptly and efficiently. Their genuine care and attention to detail truly made me feel valued. The hotel's minimalist yet elegant design, combined with its impeccable cleanliness, further enhanced my stay. This isn't your typical run-of-the-mill service; it's truly thoughtful and personalized. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free. I highly recommend it to all travelers – it's a place worth returning to!

Guest UserMy stay at the Lavande Hotel Dalian was fantastic! The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around, and the surrounding commercial area is well-developed, so dining and shopping were a breeze.
The room was spotless and odor-free, and the 'forest air purification system' made the air fresh and comfortable. The Mousse mattress was soft and supportive, ensuring a really sound sleep. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch, making shower time incredibly relaxing.
The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and very responsive. Check-in and check-out were handled efficiently. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and everything was nutritious and delicious.
Overall, it offered great value for money, with attention to detail and a refined, quiet environment. It's perfect for both business and leisure travelers. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dalian!

AifusiliqijiguangRooms here are really in high demand; it was impossible to extend my stay. Aside from a long wait during check-in, everything else was fantastic: the fifth-floor garden is charming both day and night, and the room's crystal chandeliers and carved wall decorations exude the luxury of an economic boom period. Even the chairs are incredibly heavy – they really spared no expense with the materials! However, the curtain on one of the windows in my room was broken and wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of light as soon as it got bright outside. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Mantou
The hotel's location is excellent, just a 500-meter walk to the bus station, providing easy access to attractions like Donggang and Dongguan Street. You can also take the 201 tram.
Downstairs, there are several restaurants offering various cuisines, as well as a Lawson convenience store.
Overall, the hotel environment is comfortable, rooms are spacious, and service is excellent. The family rooms are very large, perfect for a family trip. However, I wouldn't recommend booking a sea-view room during summer due to intense sun exposure.
The guest rooms are located above the 33rd floor. Since the elevators are shared by several hotels, waiting times can be excessively long. Additionally, there's no air conditioning in the elevator lobby or inside the elevators themselves, which significantly detracts from the experience. Please consider this when booking.

Xixixixi321The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Happy Beach Gate 4, and within walking distance of Discovery Kingdom. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a sea-view room, which I really appreciated.
However, I can't give a good rating for a few reasons:
1. As soon as we got to the room, I called the front desk for children's slippers and toothbrushes. After waiting half an hour with no delivery, I ended up getting them from a housekeeping staff member in the hallway.
2. In the afternoon, I called the front desk for disposable cups. Again, after waiting half an hour, they still hadn't arrived. I had to call again to follow up before they finally sent a robot to deliver them. We then left the room, and when we returned in the evening, we found two disposable cups sitting on the floor outside our door! Isn't putting paper cups on the floor unhygienic?
3. The hotel advertises free sand-digging tools. We stayed for two nights, and every time we went to get tools, they were either unavailable or broken!
4. Our room on the fifth floor wasn't particularly noisy, but as soon as you stepped out of the elevator, the hallway had an odd smell that I couldn't quite place. The bedding also felt damp, making for an uncomfortable stay.
For a Trip.com 5-diamond hotel with such a prime location, this was truly disappointing. It seems you really do get what you pay for!

Guest UserThe hotel room was very clean, and the air conditioning and fresh air system were particularly comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety and high quality, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Michael, the Lobby Manager! We had a packed schedule in the afternoon and didn't have time to go back to the hotel to pick up our stored luggage. Michael proactively helped us by coordinating with our driver to have the luggage delivered directly to the airport. This saved us valuable time and ensured we made our return journey smoothly. We are very satisfied with all the hotel's services! We will definitely choose Shangri-La again for our next trip!

LingerxiaojiaoziNow that my trip is over, I still want to review my stay. I chose this hotel because it was already in my favorites when I decided to visit Dalian. I picked it primarily for the scenic views, and indeed, the hotel's location and the room's view were quite good, and the staff service was okay. However, there were a few aspects that were rather mediocre.
Firstly, the mattress and pillows. After a five-hour drive, I didn't get that comfortable, refreshing feeling when I lay down. The mattress even felt like it had a springy texture. For someone like us, who just wanted to relax at the hotel and explore a bit, this significantly impacted our travel experience. We stayed for four consecutive days, and every day felt like an endurance test; I even considered switching hotels for the last two days.
Secondly, the shower. The overhead shower didn't work, so my 6'3” partner had to use the handheld showerhead, which was quite low, even for me. More importantly, the water temperature was unstable; for all four days, it kept fluctuating between hot and cold. Since showering isn't exactly the time to call for assistance, I just had to bear with it, dodging the water when it got too hot or too cold.
Thirdly, breakfast and meals. Given the hotel's somewhat secluded location, I suggest they improve their dining options. On our first day, we had planned to enjoy a nice dinner, but there really weren't many choices. Also, for a resort hotel, breakfast ending at 9 AM is far too early. Even budget hotels like Hanting and Atour now serve until 10:30 or 11 AM.
There were also some minor issues, like running out of complimentary water in the room. When we asked for more, the water provided wasn't the same brand as the original. Honestly, how much cost can they save by doing that? But it certainly detracts from the guest experience. I had initially hoped to make this hotel my go-to choice for future Dalian vacations, especially since it has its own small beach. I hope the owner collects guest feedback and focuses on optimizing the actual experience, especially considering the price point. This stay was definitely not as comfortable as the two days we spent in Shanhaiguan.

MishidefengshengzhuI stayed here in 2023 when it was still a Kempinski. The spa and bakery left a deep impression on me. Since 2026, it has rebranded to Pullman by Accor, without closing for renovations, so the facilities remain unchanged. This time in Dalian, I revisited the hotel.
Having been open for over twenty years, the facilities are indeed quite old. The room has a lot of heavy wooden furnishings, which must have been a significant investment back then. Many of them are no longer very smooth to use, such as the wardrobe sliding doors and bathroom drawers. They are difficult to move, and any attempt to do so would require major renovation. This also applies to issues like only having a charging port on one side of the bed, which many guests complain about. Personally, I quite like this old-fashioned, substantial hotel decor style; it lacks the cheap feel of some newer high-end hotels. Old is fine, as long as it doesn't affect normal use.
The faucet is a Danish brand, possibly a concept product more focused on styling. It has a strange push-button operation. Some are smooth, others are very stiff and difficult to use, making it hard to control water flow and potentially scratching hands.
The bed and sofa are very comfortable. It took me a while to find the light switches in the room, only to realize they were on the central control panel – a small, inconspicuous box by the bedside.
The service is still good. It's peak season now, but I was still able to check in at the regulated time. This time, I bought a package through Trip.com, which included breakfast for two and dinner at Paulaner. It was a great value. The front desk even upgraded me to a better room type in a separate building, the VIP building, which has less than ten rooms per floor.
Regarding the food: The breakfast variety is decent. The menu listed omelets, so I asked the chef to make one, and it tasted good. For milk, there was hot whole milk and cold skim milk; cold whole milk would have been a nice addition. The bakery, no longer part of Kempinski, has changed its products. My favorite chocolate croissants are gone. I bought some sliced cakes, and they tasted good. Paulaner has an excellent environment with a great atmosphere and live performances. The service is also very attentive, and guests get a 25% discount. However, pizzas take a long time to prepare; I waited over an hour for mine.
The spa and pool are still the same as before, with an exotic flair. Several hot tubs and my favorite steam bath were all open and functioning. The pool is deeper than usual, at 1.5-1.8m, and it wasn't crowded, making it very peaceful.
My main suggestions are all regarding the facilities:
1. The wooden furnishings that are not smooth to use should be repaired.
2. Add a charging port to the other side of the bed.
3. Replace the strange faucets.
4. The two panels of the curtains should not be on a single track; they need to overlap to prevent a gap, otherwise, how can light be blocked effectively?

Anonymous UserFirst off, the location is great, but the hotel is really old! I truly can't believe this is an Intercontinental, given their supposed standards and requirements.
1. They called me the day before to discuss check-in time, and we spent ages on the phone, wasted time, and still didn't clarify anything.
2. During check-in, they started discussing the daily room rate with me. This is the first time a hotel has ever done this with a guest. I thought the price was going to change, and we spent ages clarifying, only to find out the rate was exactly the same. No change at all. Their communication style was very misleading.
3. That evening, I called room service for an extra blanket, and they just flat out said they didn't have any.
4. My friend tried calling customer service from their room multiple times, and no one picked up.
5. The customer service in the lobby was also non-existent. Honestly, it's worse than places like Ya Duo or Quan Ji hotels these days.
