"The room was quite spacious, and the surroundings were relatively quiet. The sea view room offered a beautiful vista, with trees, green spaces, yachts, buildings, and a cross-sea bridge, making it a more dynamic and interesting sea view than just the horizon. Compared to the Grand Hyatt, it offers better value for money. However, some details don't quite meet five-star standards, such as the lack of a swimming pool. On the plus side, the service attitude was excellent, and Keke from the front desk was particularly understanding and accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. If I'm ever staying near Xinghai Square again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. The sea view here is much more varied and less monotonous than a simple sea-and-sky horizon. Xinghai Park is very close by; it was fantastic to spend the morning playing on the beach there, then come back to the room for a shower, make some tea, and just relax while admiring the sea view."

"The hotel's location is super convenient; we could walk to Xinghai Square, and with the Beer Festival happening, it was bustling. There are tons of restaurants nearby, so you have plenty of choices. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The robot delivery for room service and the laundry service were both really thoughtful touches. In the lobby, there's complimentary tea and coffee, even with ice, which was perfect for the hot summer. We even got a little souvenir when we checked out, which was a lovely end to our trip!"

GGuest UserI booked late, so I could only get a Quiet Room. The room was very clean, and the bedding was excellent. The front desk service was also good. This hotel has been open for many years. There are private rooms upstairs and a buffet downstairs. It's very close to the beach, and the Tongniu Mountain Scenic Area is right next to it. Overall, it was a great experience.

Being so close to Xinghai Beach was a game-changer—I loved starting my mornings with a stroll on the sand. The hotel itself felt really welcoming, with cozy rooms that made me feel right at home. The staff were really friendly, always ready to chat or offer tips on what to see in the area. There's usually sojourners who can speak English to help international tourists. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. I’m already planning my next visit!

OOuxiaodiThe B&B manager was very attentive, calling me before my arrival to confirm my check-in time and whether I needed a travel photoshoot service. After checking in, they sent daily WeChat messages about breakfast times and if I needed housekeeping for an extended stay. If you're driving, there's convenient parking available, and you can pay for parking once per day. I booked the terrace sea-view loft room. The modern minimalist decor was very comfortable, and I could see Fisherman's Wharf directly from the terrace. The B&B also has a viewing platform on the third-floor terrace, offering a superb environment. If the weather is good, it's perfect for photos. The B&B offers a complimentary travel photoshoot service, including 5 free retouched photos. Both the photographer and the retoucher are highly skilled – I highly recommend it! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Dalian.

GGuest UserThe hotel's exterior is magnificent, like a castle. I booked a sea view room, and the ocean view from the window was beautiful. Even though it's by the sea, the room was surprisingly dry; my swimsuit dried completely within a day. I was a bit anxious after reading reviews about long queues for breakfast, but when I got there, I found that before 8 AM, there's usually no queue. Plus, staff members directly seat you and place a reserved sign, which is a nice touch. In some hotels, even if there's no queue when it's busy, not finding a seat and having to wander around with your plate is even more awkward. Now for the good parts, there are two downsides I hope the hotel can improve. First, the hotel's Chinese restaurant is really expensive, and there's a service charge, but the taste and service were truly underwhelming. I had originally planned to just eat at the hotel every day, but after one meal, I realized it didn't even meet expectations for taste or value for money – it failed on all three counts. Secondly, for a hotel at this price point, charging for a can of Coke and a bottle of juice in the mini-fridge seems unnecessary. Many five-star hotels even offer a full selection of expensive drinks for free, along with complimentary fruit and snacks, but here they charge extra, which comes across as a bit petty.

AAnonymous UserMy old parents came from Korea. We - 6 people - wanted to have a great memory during their stay in Dalian. Its location was perfect, sitting at the heart of fishermen s warf, but it was right after rain that things were humid. I should admit that for the peak time and prime location, it is a reasonable price and I blame the wet weather for some smelly environment. Should avoid wet weather. It is already right at the sea. Also, the price is as much as other 5 stars that are not in this location. There are lots of insta spots in and out of the hotel, so it is whether to put yourself at the top location with a bit reasonable price or modernized hotels like Hilton and intercontinental that are farther away and a couple of bucks more expensive.

The facilities are top-notch, and it comes with a complete set of kitchenware and tableware, so you can even cook! The room is spacious and bright, and very quiet inside. The location is convenient with all amenities nearby. The pool wasn't crowded, the massage chair was very comfortable, and there's even a billiards table to play on!

MMuyidataoziHighly recommended! Very comfortable for family trips with children. The location is excellent, right next to Exit 4 through the back door. In the evenings, there's live music indoors and a band outdoors. You can enjoy the lively atmosphere from the balcony, and it's vibrant but not noisy. The in-room amenities are quite thoughtful. The tissue brand offers great value for money – soft and dust-free. The air freshener has a pleasant, non-irritating scent, showing careful consideration in procurement. Overall, there are no significant downsides, except for the foot pedal on the bathroom trash can, which is a bit stiff. Upgrading to a better model would be ideal, but it didn't really impact our stay. Additionally, the front desk staff, both men and women, were very diligent and responsible, especially Chow Pak Ho. Since we arrived early in the morning, he promptly arranged our check-in and upgraded our room as soon as a vacant one became available. We are very grateful. Our child had a wonderful time and gained a lot. We plan to come back next summer with friends and their family. We hope the standards are maintained and even improved upon!

AAnonymous UserThe room size was quite generous, and the bedding and bathroom hygiene were decent. However, there were large, unsightly stains on the carpet that probably couldn't be cleaned, which was a real turn-off. The view was good, and it was close to the beach, perfect for catching the sunrise and sunset. Here's where the problems started. We checked in on Friday and were due to check out on Sunday. We left the hotel at 3 AM on Sunday to watch the sunrise and returned around 5 AM to get some rest. But then, starting at 9 AM, staff members repeatedly knocked on our door, even opening it despite the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. About ten minutes later, someone else knocked again. To top it off, we received a call on the landline that rang a few times and then hung up. We couldn't get any extra sleep and ended up feeling groggy for the rest of the day until check-out at noon. When I checked in, the front desk staff asked for my Hilton Honors number, promising a complimentary fruit platter. We never saw that fruit platter even by the time we left. It's not about the value of the fruit, but why offer it if you have no intention of delivering? On the day we checked in, a staff member even called to ask if I was satisfied with the room. I had just entered, how would I know if I was satisfied yet? Interestingly, no one bothered to ask if I was satisfied when we were leaving. Overall, the experience wasn't great, but the hotel's location and the room itself were quite good.

The shower and toilet were separate from the bedroom, though the shower's waterproofing needs improvement. The staff, especially during my morning exercise and breakfast, were clearly well-trained in cleaning. My room was upgraded by front desk staff Xiao Wang and Xiao Lan, among others, seemingly to an executive room (I had booked a 'distant view' room). Breakfast was abundant, and a person in gray, who seemed to be a manager, actively and helpfully arranged a perfect table for me.
