"First off, huge thanks to the amazing staff here: Lu, Li, and Shu! 💕 They’re all so kind, approachable, and generous. Even the cleaning ladies are the sweetest. One time, I had to rush out and left my clothes in the washing machine, and one of them kindly moved them to the dryer room for me. Such a thoughtful gesture that really shows how much they care for guests. This is honestly the BEST hostel I’ve ever stayed in when it comes to location, cleanliness, amenities, and hospitality. It truly feels like home. ✅ Location Perfect! Super easy to find on both Google Maps and Amap. The hostel is only a 2-minute walk to People’s Square Subway Station and Nanjing Road, with restaurants, bars, spas, malls, and a 7/11 nearby. I also love that they have an English sign outside super helpful for tourists. Many hostels here don’t even appear on Google Maps (since it doesn’t work in China), so it was a nice surprise this one does. For accuracy though, I recommend downloading Amap, it’s reliable when exploring the city. ✅ Cleanliness Definitely five-star level. The shared bathrooms and showers are cleaned and sanitized every hour, and the sinks are always wiped dry so your stuff doesn’t get wet when you set it down. That small detail makes a huge difference! They even have a dressing room just for touch-ups, so rare in hostels. Bedsheets smelled fresh, and they gave me clean ones for every night of my stay. And instead of thin blankets, they provide duvets! Such a HUGE plus. As someone who always gets cold feet, that little touch honestly made my nights so cozy and comfortable. ✅ Amenities They’ve thought of everything. There’s a small gym and yoga studio on the 3rd floor (right next to my room 348 😅), both clean and convenient. Each room also has designated lockers to keep your belongings safe, which gave me so much peace of mind. There’s also a common station if you want to study or work. But the best part? FREE laundry. Yes, free! Detergent included. And the kind cleaning ladies even help you dry your clothes in the dryer room. They also provide a steamer if you need to iron, which is so much better than the usual bulky ironing boards. ✅ Atmosphere & Hospitality The vibe here is amazing. It doesn’t feel like just a budget stay it feels like a community. The staff genuinely care and go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. Every little detail from helping with laundry to greeting you with a smile makes you feel welcome and cared for. The lobby is cozy and a great place to meet fellow travelers if you’re social, but it’s also quiet enough if you just want to relax. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, but this one stands out. The combination of a perfect location, spotless facilities, thoughtful amenities, secure lockers, and the warm hospitality of the staff makes it unbeatable. If you’re planning to stay in Shanghai, I HIGHLY recommend this hostel. For the price, the value is incredible: prime location, super clean, free laundry, a gym, secure lockers, and staff that truly treat you like family. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip. ❤️"

"Great for budget travelers! Excellent location near the train station. It's on the third floor with an elevator. The facilities are comprehensive, with all the essentials you need. The lower bunk is more comfortable and easier to get in and out of!"

"Great Stay in the Heart of Shanghai I had a fantastic stay at this hostel! The location is perfect—right between The Bund and the Shanghai Museum, making it easy to explore the city. The subway is also close by, which was convenient for getting around. The staff were helpful and spoke English, which made my stay even smoother. The bed was comfortable with a privacy curtain that hides the light very well :) —it added an extra touch of comfort. Nothing fancy but overall, a great choice for anyone visiting Shanghai!"

"Perfect location - less than 100m to Nanjing East Metro Station! The hostel occupies the **fully renovated 3rd floor** of an older building (note: no elevator). Rooms are spotless with 4-6 beds, each having **private bathrooms/showers**. Surprisingly quiet despite downtown location! AC worked perfectly in summer (can’t comment on winter). Price is unbeatable for this area. Staff like **Luo Rong** are friendly and helpful – though note **limited English fluency**, so very few foreigners stay here. As a Chinese speaker, I had zero issues! Dozens of small restaurants downstairs offer authentic local food. Will 100% rebook if returning to Shanghai!”*"

"I loved staying at this Hostel, it was super clean and freshly renovated. There were plenty of showers and the bathrooms were also very clean and the Dyson like blow dryer was amazing. The reception staff were very friendly but did not speak any English so if you are an international traveler and don’t speak much Chinese be prepared to use a translator to check in. I stayed in a two person dorm wish was spacious and had a lot of natural light. Each bed has a lamp and a power outlet. Good Wifi was also available. I was a bit of a walk to the metro station but not too bad (maybe 12 minutes). I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Shanghai."

"Absolutely five-star! I genuinely had a great experience. The room was clean, and they even disinfected it daily. Plus, the front desk lady was incredibly sweet and patient! This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I came to Shanghai alone. This place really made a good impression on me! Honestly, compared to hotels, hostels are a godsend for us regular university students. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I'm definitely staying here again."
