AAnonymous UserThe lady front desk manager is very helpful and kind. Location wise is 15 min walk to metro, not very quiet always hear sirens or honking. Cigarette smoke frequently smelt in room as room ac does not work heating is central and room felt stuffy at times. Front desk kindly provided a fan that helped. Dishes were not cleaned properly. Overall good but can be improved. The entrance is also behind novatel and taxi will not always pick up from correct entrance even if you put ‘ Citadines gubei’

GGuest UserTraveling to Shanghai with my family of three for the May Day holiday. We booked this hotel for our second night, wanting something closer to the Bund since my child can't walk too far. After an exhausting 20,000 steps at Disney, we arrived to check in. The front desk lady was incredibly kind and polite. Knowing we wanted to be near the Bund, she proactively asked about upgrading our room. She checked for availability and helped us upgrade to an executive room for a lower price. Seeing we had a child, she even offered an extra breakfast for them (though we slept in until noon the next day and missed it!), but the service was truly excellent. She also helped us extend our check-out time, and the front desk offers free luggage storage, which is very nice. As we were leaving to go out, she even offered us two bottles of water. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Shanghai Bund; it's just a 10-minute walk and very close to the Peace Hotel and the pedestrian street. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

DDingyuanyingI've stayed in many hotels for business trips and vacations, and most of them deserve five-star ratings, especially Mercure. This time, I came to Mercure Hongqiao Central with five-star expectations. Although there were fruit flies in the room and the shower drain smelled, I dealt with them myself and it didn't really affect my mood. That is, until I found out one of the elevators was broken. Waiting for the elevator felt like the morning rush hour in an office building during the week, and I even had to contend with the food delivery robots for space (the elevator still wasn't fixed after two days). Plus, I can't think of any high-rise hotel that only has two elevators. Additionally, I don't know if it's because my Ctrip membership level isn't high enough, but my request for a late checkout at 4 PM was told it would be charged. When I was a Huazhu Platinum member, it was never charged (in fact, there are only a few times a year I need to extend to 4 PM). They said I needed to re-activate my room card at the front desk after 12 PM, but after I had it swiped at the front desk, (and waited for the elevator for a long time) I still couldn't open the room door upstairs... My good impression was slowly worn away. Overall, this experience barely deserves three stars (I wouldn't have even remembered it if the hotel hadn't called afterward asking for a good review). Objectively, the view from the west-facing room was quite good. The golf course diagonally opposite was unobstructed, and there were no tall buildings opposite, so I wasn't afraid to leave the curtains open at night. I could also see planes taking off and landing at Hongqiao Airport. The location was also decent, with many dining options nearby, though it's quite far from the subway station.

ZZhangchunyangThe breakfast selection was extensive, and the location was super convenient! The service was really warm and welcoming. I booked a special offer room, which was small but perfectly adequate. It had a nice wooden decor. I'm a Huazhu Hotels member and usually stay at the Ji Hotel, but the prices were too high during this holiday period. It would be great if the hotel could upgrade to heated toilet seats; Shanghai is just too cold in spring!

LLea BossLovely 4 nights stay here, specially the laundry room was a great convenience, staffs were incredibly helpful assisting the laundry when I couldn’t make it back in time before the cycle finished. Location is excellent, just a short walk from the Bund and very convenient with a FamilyMart right next door for any essentials. The bed was very comfortable, wake up with no back aching, though the soundproofing is average as you may hear faint conversations from nearby room but didn’t take away from the overall experience. Hotel is clean, tidy and efficiently managed from the front desk to the housekeeping team. Morning breakfast is lovely too… Overall, a very pleasant stay kudos to the team! And recommend to stay!!

WWiediamAtour hotel was a wonderful hotel, we love the cleanliness and the customer service was excellent. Shi Liu (16) service at the front desk was beyond expectations. He always help us and provide everything that we needed. Very humble, patient and friendly. He always has a low tone manner in speaking toward us unlike some Chinese people which can be intimidating. Thank you Atour staff and Shi Liu (16) for making our stay comfortable.

CCurious TravellerGreat location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested. The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk. Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages. The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen. BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best. Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee.

To be honest, I was initially hesitant; I had originally booked the Yan'an Hotel, but was persuaded by the travel agency to switch to this place. On the eve of the 24th anniversary of '913' (September 13th), I was in the attic room here, rushing to meet my school deadlines. On the evening of September 13th, Shanghai was hit by a heavy downpour. My family and I were having dinner at the adjacent Xi Family Garden. We borrowed two umbrellas from Manager Zhang at the front desk, one of his own and one from a colleague. I'm truly grateful for this trust, and also want to thank Manager Zhang for his thoughtful service over the past two days.

AAnonymous UserThe room was fantastic, service excellent, and the environment top-notch. It's conveniently located for sightseeing, and there were even some surprising interactive experiences. It's definitely worth recommending. Staying here is incredibly good value for money if you're visiting Disneyland. Although the holiday rates are higher than outside hotels, the service and convenience you get are unparalleled. My only minor gripe is that the soundproofing could be improved; you can hear people showering in the next room and conversations and doors opening/closing in the hallway. Parking is free, and the shuttle service is convenient. The service attitude and environment are truly wonderful. Personally, I think it offers fantastic value for money. You can even get up close and personal for photos with Woody and Jessie! (The photos are of Disneyland Park, and the hotel photos online are pretty accurate. The experience was great, I just didn't get to explore the hotel much because I was too tired from playing.)

MManpreet LuthraIt’s an amazing hotel. The service of front desk is very very supportive and helping. They help you for anything and make sure that customers are best served. I would especially thank front desk attendant Ms Zhang Yixiao, she helped me a lot get all my packages from online shopping. I got more than 30 packages and she made sure I had no problem finding it at all. She also helped me in extending the check out time little bit. I really appreciate her and all teams efforts. Room was also found clean although I had created a lot of mess. Hotel is new in construction so it gives pleasant stay. The location is one of the best in city. Shanghai railway station and metro station is 5 minutes walking . The Bund , Nanjing pedestrian street is within range of 10-15 minutes. You get a can in few minutes of searching and food places near hotel are open till 1-2 am. Best for solo travellers and business travellers. High speed trains can be taken from Shanghai railway station. Also saw alot of families staying in same hotel. They gave special play area for kids too. I thank all of staff and especially Zhang Vixiao for making this stay so great. When ever I visit next , I will stay here only. Thank you.
