We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. You can tell there is real effort behind the scenes to keep ever

Remark: We are a family group who stay at JI Hotel (Shanghai Xujiahui) for many nights and rooms. Therefore, the review of the Hotel shall be the same. Overall Ji Hotel (Shanghai Xujiahui) left a wonderful impression on me, largely thanks to the excellent service and warm welcome from the receptionist. The quality is definitely worth the price. A solid 8/10 overall! Introduction My family and I arrived exhausted around 9:00 PM on May 20, 2026. Because the hotel was full, our Queen room wasn’t ready. The receptionist quickly offered a twin room instead, suggesting we push the beds together for a massive sleeping space. We gladly accepted! The next day, she confirmed the hotel would absorb any price difference—we didn't pay a cent extra. She also offered my family (4 adults, 1 child) a breakfast promotion that was an incredible deal. Huge shoutout to this female receptionist; she solved problems on the fly and managed our expectations perfectly. Criteria & Elements Room (8/10) For our first 3 nights in room 8326, we noticed some dust under the beds when we pushed them together. The next day, housekeeping cleaned it up perfectly. For our last 3 nights in room 8312, everything was spotless! Bathroom (8.5/10) Wonderfully spacious! The soap dispenser shelf is a bit small, but we absolutely loved the shower. The water pressure was fantastic, and the temperature was super easy to adjust. Sleep Quality (9.5/10) The room gets pitch black, and the soundproofing is quite satisfying. You might hear a tiny bit of hallway noise, but nothing major. We specifically chose Xujiahui instead of crowded places like Nanjing Lu to avoid loud street noise, and it was wonderfully peaceful. Location & Commuting (9.5/10) This hotel hit the jackpot for our family (traveling with a child and elderly members). It’s a 650m walk to the Metro, 250m to a dining mall, and just 120m to a lovely park for our morning walks. Easily our favorite thing about the hotel! Breakfast (8/10) The staff kindly let us eat before the official 7:00 AM start, which was a lifesaver on busy mornings. The food covers all five groups but leans heavily toward veggies, eggs, and carbs. Tip for improvement: Adding more meat variety would cater better to working adults and teenagers needing extra protein and energy. My favorite part was the warm ”human touch”—seeing friendly hotel staff and guests eating together harmoniously. You rarely find that in Western hotels! Security (10/10) Because it's not a massive property, the staff can easily recognize guests. Plus, the elevators require a keycard for your specific floor. We felt 100% safe. Cigarette Smell (5/10) This is a serious issue for my family and the only reason we wouldn't return. Despite booking a non-smoking room on Trip.com, room 8326 smelled like smoke. My parents' room (8328, nights of May 26-27) also had a very strong cigarette smell. Furthermore, we frequently caught the smell of cigarette smoke coming from some of the rooms while walking down the hallway. I'm giving a 5/10 because our last room (8312) was fine. Friendly suggestion: If a booking explicitly says ”Smoke-free treatment required,” it needs strict enforcement, especially for foreign families. In Conclusion Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the value and amazing reception service (8/10). The cigarette smell is the only thing preventing us from making this our go-to choice. However, if you're a solo business traveler who doesn't mind the occasional smell of smoke, this hotel will be a fantastic fit!

Choosing the right accommodation truly elevated our Disney experience! The hotel's location is superb, making dining, entertainment, and transportation incredibly convenient. The room hygiene was impeccable; it was so clean and tidy that we felt completely relaxed. The front desk staff were attentive and reliable, making check-in a breeze, and they were proactive in resolving any requests we had. The complimentary shuttle service to and from Disneyland was a thoughtful touch, making transport hassle-free. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the toiletries were high-quality, offering a great user experience. We also enjoyed the free massage chairs in the lobby, along with freshly ground coffee and daily brewed plum juice available at all times. On a night we returned late from the park, our clothes hadn't dried, and a staff member thoughtfully offered to dry and fold them for us. This level of detailed service truly made our stay exceptionally comfortable.

My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try. I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card. Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue. As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff.

The room was quite clean and had everything I needed, including a closet for my belongings and complete bathing and sanitary facilities. The lobby plays movies, has a bar, and plenty of seating. They even gave me a bottle of Oriental Leaf tea when I checked out.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay this time and have to give it a big shout-out. The hotel's newly launched laundry service offers incredible value for money, costing only 1 yuan per piece with no limit on the number of items. It's such a relief to be able to hand over all your accumulated dirty clothes from your trip to the hotel. Booking is super easy; just dial the front desk extension and they'll pick up your laundry. A thoughtful heads-up is that they don't wash personal intimate apparel. The hotel's location is also a huge plus. Downstairs and all around, there are countless dining options, including Chinese food, casual meals, and snacks – you name it. You don't have to go far to sort out all your meals, making it incredibly convenient to find food. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the front desk service is warm and attentive. Overall, the value for money is top-notch. Now, I don't have to lug around heavy, dirty clothes when traveling, and the food choices are abundant. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for my next trip, highly recommended!

The location is perfect! Near main attractions and subway station.  The staff does not speak English, but my wife knows a little Chinese so we managed any issues we had. Helpful guys, provided us with anything we asked. Service desk 24/7.  DO NOT agree to stay in rooms on the first floor under any conditions!!! We booked a room with a small window, but it has no sense. You open it and it’s very noisy because of dozens of air conditioners nearby. Smoke smell. Secondly, air conditioner itself smelt of dampness and mold. Spider net above the bed… And the last thing - broken sockets. We got working only 1 of 3… Decided to upgrade the room to a big one on the 6th floor, upgrade cost only 1200 RMB for 4 nights. And it got much better. Did not take pictures of the room, but it was bigger, cleaner and fresher.  Soundproof 2/5. Cleaning service 5/5, change towels every day.  Pay attention to breakfast options when you book!! There is some weird nonsense, if you live together you might have prepaid breakfasts only for 1 person!!! Then you pay extra and get voucher to eat. But it’s weird anyway. The breakfast itself is acceptable to get it going till lunch. Fried eggs are frequently overcooked, salad is not fresh 👎🏻 Dumplings and noodles are one contrary very tasty.  Overall, the stay was fine, but definitely far from perfect.

The staff were nice and accomodating especially Miss Jingjing. She answered all my queries professionally. The location is great. East Nanjing Road subway is only minutes away by foot. Very accessible and very near shopping street. The hotel is just above a mall, so no problem with where to eat or so. The only thing is that, the building seems to only have 1 elevator thus shared by hotel guests and mall goers especially those with strollers. The room is cleaned daily, with refills of 2 bottled water. There is laundry area which is plus point. I will stay here again the next time I come to Shanghai.
