Romantic Hotels in Shanghai

Our stay was absolutely delightful. The facilities were excellent, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Its location is also super convenient. We stayed with family, and everyone loved the room; it was impeccably clean. The staff were all very polite and welcoming. They even offer a shuttle service for Line 18 and a Disney shuttle, which was incredibly helpful. They gave my child some cute nail stickers and my mother a sun-protective mask – such thoughtful touches!

Traveling to Shanghai, I chose this Manxin Hotel. My friend booked first, and I booked later. We arrived to find the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The lobby design was incredibly atmospheric, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the smart facilities were complete, making for a very comfortable sleep. The staff were warm and polite, and the freshly prepared breakfast featured old Shanghai specialties. There was also a complimentary afternoon tea to enjoy. The surrounding area was convenient for sightseeing and shopping, full of thoughtful details, and offered great value for money. I highly recommend it to friends visiting Shanghai.

This time, my flight was delayed due to weather, so I checked in at 11 PM. The next morning, I took the hotel's free shuttle to the airport at 6 AM. The front desk service was excellent; they even had extra staff on hand at 11 PM to help with check-ins because so many passengers from my flight, who didn't want to stay at the airline-arranged hotel, opted for Vienna instead. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. This is the best hotel I've stayed at near the airport. It'll be my first choice for my next layover.

I stayed for two nights this time, and it was a pretty good experience. Bob provided excellent service – always on top of things. The hotel was quite busy, mostly with guests from the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai areas coming to check it out. Parking was ample, with both an underground garage and outdoor spaces. The underground garage isn't huge, maybe 70-80 spots. You can enter and exit multiple times, and parking is free. It's very close to Happy Valley, about three to four kilometers away, though driving is definitely more convenient. Moon Lake is right next door, and you can catch a distant view of it from the 5th floor. The room had both a bathtub and a balcony.

Our stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and tidy with a great view. Our butlers, Deslin and Lily, provided attentive and thoughtful service, proactively following up on all our needs and responding quickly. Any issues we had were promptly and properly resolved. Their considerate care was just right, and the cleaning was very timely, with towels replaced swiftly. This made the whole trip feel very pleasant and is highly recommended. It's also worth mentioning that the cleaning staff on our floor on the morning of our departure were very friendly, once again highlighting the hotel's meticulous service. I hope the hotel can pay attention to the showerhead and sink faucet in the room, as the water pressure is too strong and often splashes out, getting clothes wet. The room offers a different Banyan Tree themed incense or essential oil (optional) daily.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! I was surprised to find a pool and hot springs, and the room was quite spacious. While the immediate area isn't super convenient, ordering food delivery was easy, and the robot delivery was quick. The environment is absolutely lovely – surrounded by lush greenery, and the entire complex is very quiet. It was a fantastic staycation. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast could be better, and you have to pay upfront if you want to add it, you can't charge it to your room, which isn't very convenient. Finally, a big thank you to the hotel for the room upgrade, which really helped with accommodating my older child.

I stayed at this hotel many years ago when there weren't many good hotels in Shanghai, and it left a deep impression. Later, every time I traveled to Shanghai for business, I stayed at other newer hotels. This time, I chose this hotel with my kids because I wanted them to see Shanghai's skyline. Overall, I was quite satisfied, especially since I booked late and couldn't get a family room, so I ended up booking two different room types for the two nights. However, the front desk helped us change both nights to family rooms, which I'm very grateful for. I feel like this hotel offers great value for money if you're traveling with a larger group. Perhaps because of this, breakfast was incredibly crowded – I almost don't remember ever seeing such a crowded hotel breakfast. For both days, we were seated at tables added in the aisle. What's more, after the staff cleaned the tables, they didn't set out cutlery, so we had to ask for it. One staff member was very polite, while another seemed quite displeased.

This time, my experience was much better than last! The room had no strange smells, and the overall cleanliness was great. Even though it was still quite crowded this time (probably due to the summer holiday), everything was well-organized. Check-in was smooth, and I managed to catch the shuttle bus downstairs at 7:25 AM, though it didn't drop us off until around 7:40 AM after waiting a bit for it to depart. Still, pretty good! **Environment:** Excellent! **Round-trip shuttle bus from hotel to Disneytown:** We only left at 7:25 AM (because we were really pushing it with time, it was already quite late!). After waiting a bit, we were dropped off at the entrance at 7:40 AM. I recommend heading straight for TRON Lightcycle Power Run first – it's my favorite! However, when we got there, we already had to queue for half an hour, so if you can wake up earlier, definitely do so! **Early Park Entry (up to 1 hour before opening):** It was useful! We only rode TRON Lightcycle Power Run, which was great. But I managed to get a lot of photos with no other guests! Also, while walking from Tomorrowland towards Toy Story Land, we happened to catch Mickey and Minnie doing their thing before the park even opened. It only took 8-10 minutes to queue, which I wasn't thrilled about. But the staff told me, 'Oh my goodness, you have no idea, it usually takes two hours to queue for this!' So we waited for a bit and got to interact with them! Satisfied!

My husband and I decided on Shanghai Disneyland for our May Day honeymoon, and choosing the Guyiju Hotel truly doubled the happiness of our fairytale getaway! We checked in the day before and reserved the 7:30 AM shuttle with the front desk. The next morning, it departed promptly, taking us right to the park entrance. No rushing for the subway, no hassle with taxis, and we even had time for breakfast before heading out – perfectly suited for the relaxed pace of a honeymoon. After watching the spectacular fireworks show at night, there was no squeezing through crowds or worrying about finding a taxi; we simply took the hotel's return shuttle back. It was effortless and reassuring the entire time, making it incredibly convenient for honeymooning couples. Next, I have to praise the hotel environment and room experience – it was romantic and elegant, perfectly capturing the honeymoon vibe! Walking into the hotel, the common areas were tidy and tasteful, with refined details that made for great photo opportunities. Our room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding, changed for each guest, was soft and skin-friendly; lying on it, our fatigue instantly melted away. The bathroom had a dry/wet separation, stable water pressure, and plenty of hot water – a hot shower after a long day at the park was incredibly therapeutic. The smart facilities in the room were also a huge plus: automatic curtains, a Bluetooth speaker, and welcoming music, combining technology with warmth. Lying in bed with my husband at night, listening to soothing music and recounting our sweet moments at Disneyland that day, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. What touched us most was the incredibly warm and thoughtful service, truly embodying their motto of 'caring warmth, heartwarming service'! From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were enthusiastic and patient, with gentle smiles. They efficiently processed our check-in, and even thoughtfully provided us with Disney touring tips, shuttle times, and proactively reminded us about the significant temperature difference at night in Disney, advising us to dress warmly. During our stay, any issues we had were addressed promptly and attentively. One evening, after returning from Disney tired and hungry, and not wanting to go out for food, the hotel's vending machine was a true 'lifesaver' – offering drinks, instant noodles, and snacks. These thoughtful details made our honeymoon journey full of感动. There's also a supermarket, a 24-hour convenience store, and several restaurants nearby, so if you wanted a late-night snack, it was easily accessible downstairs, making life incredibly convenient. Finally, let's talk about the sweet experience of a Disney honeymoon, perfectly complemented by the Guyiju Hotel, recreating a fairytale romance! At Disneyland, my husband and I held hands walking down Mickey Avenue, watching colorful balloons ascend; we rode the carousel side-by-side, feeling the sweetness of childhood innocence; we challenged Pirates of the Caribbean and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train together, holding each other tightly in thrilling moments; in the evening, we watched the parade, waving and interacting with Disney friends, doubling our joy; and at night, as fireworks erupted over the castle, their brilliant light reflecting in our smiles, we embraced and kissed.
