"I chose the Beijing Fortune Hotel for my trip. It's on Yabao Road, only a 5-minute walk from Ritan Park, and just across the street from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It's conveniently located between Jianguomen and Chaoyangmen subway stations, making it super easy to get around. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with a very grand and artistic vibe. From my city-view room, I could overlook the Guomao business district, and the views were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing – I just couldn't stop eating! The only slight downside was the soundproofing, which wasn't great, but it quieted down a lot after 11 PM, so I'd still say it was a perfect stay overall."

"After comparing several hotels in the same price range, I chose Zǐlóng Gardens. I'd also looked at their usual rates, and it seemed a bit pricier then, but booking it in advance for a holiday trip was definitely a steal. **Stay:** For the same price, other places offer rooms under 30 square meters, but Zǐlóng Gardens gives you 50 square meters. It's nestled in a hutong, offering a quiet escape in the midst of the bustling city. It's actually the former residence of Prince Taò, who was an advisor to the People's Liberation Army's equestrian administration. We opted for the family room, which even had a small balcony with a view. The room had a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom, so washing up wasn't cramped at all. **Food:** The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks (mineral water, Coke, Sprite, beer), and they'd replenish it anytime. Although the restaurant isn't huge, the food is incredibly fresh, with different dishes every day. I initially thought breakfast wasn't included, but it turned out to be free! From 11 AM to 11 PM, they offer afternoon tea with chef-prepared dishes like wontons and Zhajiangmian, all completely free of charge. You can even take fruit back to your room. The 'Sìyuè Hétún' restaurant on the first floor also had good prices and flavors; no reservations needed for their fugu or roast duck. **Getting Around:** It's very close to Nanluoguxiang, the National Art Museum of China, Wangfujing, and Longfu Temple. The subway station is about a 10-minute walk, but I mostly used taxis, which made getting around super convenient. **Service:** The hotel staff's service was impeccable. Finally, although check-out was officially at 12 PM, they were fine with us leaving at 2 PM, and even gave us a farewell gift. Overall, it was a truly satisfying stay. Our 5-day, 4-night trip during Chinese New Year was a fantastic family experience and definitely enhanced our vacation."

"The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The underfloor heating was a lifesaver against the cold, and a hot bath after hiking the Great Wall really helped relieve the fatigue. It's only a ten-minute walk from the hotel to the Great Wall entrance, as well as the scenic area and commercial street. The hotel's own restaurant offered reasonably priced dishes, no overcharging there. The front desk lady was very kind and even helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs. We were lucky enough to experience a beautiful snowfall during our stay, which made for a stunning view."

"A hidden gem of a guesthouse for a weekend getaway to the outskirts of Beijing! The reviews were great, but it turned out to be even more delightful. Located in Hefangkou Village, the guesthouse is nestled in a secluded, winding path. It has its own parking lot, which is very convenient. The village also boasts various restaurants and trendy cafes, perfect for exploring. Of course, the guesthouse itself wasn't boring either. The owner thoughtfully provided many amenities. We checked in in the afternoon and started with a barbecue in the private courtyard, followed by a game of billiards. Then we soaked in the private heated hot spring in our room, made some late-night snacks in the kitchen, and finally watched a movie before bed. On Sunday, we had breakfast, went back to the courtyard for drinks, and before we knew it, it was check-out time! There wasn't enough time to try the karaoke or mahjong room. Of course, this was mainly because we had a small group; it would have been even more fun with a group of friends. Finally, it's clear that the owner and the service team place great importance on the quality of the guesthouse. The facilities and amenities are all from reputable brands: the billiard table is from Xingpai, and the projector is from XGIMI. The service was also excellent, with staff readily available to assist us. We'll definitely be back!"

"Xishan Hot Springs is truly perfect for the whole family, from the elderly to children. The seniors felt comfortable, the kids had a blast, and we felt at ease throughout our entire stay. The environment was clean and warm, and there were many hot spring pools with just the right water temperature. The elderly found it relaxing and rejuvenating, and there wasn't much walking involved, with plenty of rest areas available to sit down whenever tired. Kids have their own dedicated water play area with shallow pools that are safe and fun. There's also a children's playground, slides, and go-karts – enough to keep them entertained all day long. Plus, there's a childcare service so parents can relax for a while, which is a very thoughtful touch. The service was excellent, staff were friendly, and attention to detail was evident, taking great care of both seniors and children. Also, their Four Seasons Restaurant really knows how to cater to foodies! Our overall experience this Chinese New Year was fantastic, and I must commend it. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety; it was more for a quick bite to fill you up, suitable for those who wake up early and just want something light. However, the dinner buffet was truly outstanding. They had everything: seafood, BBQ, hot dishes, cold dishes, desserts, and fruits. You could grab salmon, oysters, roasted lamb leg, grilled durian, and crayfish to your heart's content, with each person limited to half a lobster. The taste was on point, and they refilled dishes quickly. There were so many options we couldn't even try them all – we left feeling incredibly satisfied. The late-night supper was an even bigger surprise! It was perfect for when we were tired from playing all day and got hungry at night. They had steaming hot xiaolongbao and various noodle dishes, all with great flavor and generous portions. Having hot food late at night felt incredibly comforting. Service was also attentive, with quick plate clearing and a clean, comfortable environment. Overall, breakfast was simple, dinner was lavish and enjoyable, and the late-night supper was heartwarming and just right. It's an all-in-one place for dining and entertainment where everyone in the family can find something to enjoy. It's not tiring or troublesome, and the value for money is pretty good. If you're traveling with elderly family members and children, this is the place to choose – hassle-free and comfortable. A highly recommended spot! 😎😎😎"

"The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the butler service is excellent and super attentive. The rooftop pool is huge, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy. We had a delightful weekend; my family and children were very happy. It's super convenient to get to the Great Wall and dining spots, and the distance is very short. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting; the quality is truly great. The rooms are very comfortable, and the Great Wall view from the room is fantastic. The owner can even help you buy tickets for the night tour of the Great Wall, which is a really good deal. Truly excellent!"

"This was my second stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, I was assigned an end room, which was also a connecting room. Although the connecting door was locked from the inside, being the very last corner room meant a long walk from the elevator, especially with a child under 4. Entering the room felt a bit eerie; the entrance and bathroom lighting were dim, making the whole space feel gloomy. The hairdryer was old, and a bedside lamp was crooked, which I had to adjust myself. I'd suggest that five-star hotels use smart Dyson hairdryers. Breakfast the next day was disappointing with limited options, and we had to queue around 9:30 AM. There wasn't much variety, and the fruit selection was sparse. The fried noodles for the main course were hard, which was frankly not worth the price. When we went up to the assigned table via elevator, the noodle station seemed to be just going through the motions. There's a noticeable gap when compared to five-star hotels like The Kapok in Chengdu."

"The homestay at the foot of the Great Wall, at the entrance of the Shuiguan Great Wall village, is a 15-minute drive from the Badaling Great Wall. I took my kids to visit the Great Wall and wanted to choose a homestay close to the Great Wall. I accidentally saw this Guanshanyue and was immediately attracted. I was originally planning to come during the Qingming Festival, but there was no room. So I booked the homestay early during the May Day holiday. It is at the highest point in the village, with the best geographical location. You can see the Shuiguan Great Wall from the rooftop platform, and the life photos taken with the Great Wall are very photogenic. Free pick-up and drop-off to the Badaling Great Wall, to avoid the crowds, we set off at 6 am, and the car was waiting early, which was very smooth. It was very unexpected to meet the sea of ​​clouds at the Great Wall, which was very lucky. The room was large, the facilities were very good, and I also soaked in the rose hot spring, which was satisfying."

"I booked Huairou Suxin Courtyard for the Lantern Festival. The housekeeper service was warm and thoughtful. They contacted me one day in advance for the travel route, gave me warm reminders, and set up a housekeeper service group, which was very meticulous. The B&B has its own exclusive parking space, which is convenient for self-driving travel, and is not far from the Water Great Wall. The village is very quiet, the room is very spacious, and the kitchen has a full range of kitchenware and seasonings, so you can have a hot pot or cook a meal. The B&B also has a vegetarian restaurant, which tastes good, and the cooking ingredients are very particular and exquisitely made. The free breakfast is also delicious.
