Guest UserThe whole family was satisfied. The guest relations department contacted us in advance and upgraded us to a family room, which was fantastic: the room was spacious, well-ventilated, and even had a washing machine – it was incredibly comfortable! For this price, the overall experience completely exceeded our expectations! Oh, and the big ice cream cones were cheap and delicious.

Guest UserThe PuXuan Hotel and Spa, is definitely ONE OF A KIND. It is truly a luxurious experience.
We experienced several aspects of the hotel: room service, laundry, spa, and even special requests.
Our journey started when we arrived to the hotel at 8am. The staff welcomed us warmly and offered tot ake care of our luggage while we explored Beijing and came back to do the proper check-in. We stayed at the parking lobby for a while, and they never tried to push us out. (In other hotels they do).
Once we checked in, everything just kept improving. The rooms is simply magnificent, a “smart room” but in a really SMART. No over complicated controls, everything was user-friendly.
I want to highlight the design of the room, and specially THE BATHROOM. I loved the sower, everything was clean and offered a great shower experience.
Then the HOTEL SERVICES MY GOD, kudos to the all of the staff. We ordered room service and the menu was INCREDIBLE. We are from Mexico and they had Quesadillas, and a great wagyu burger! The service was quick and the food was delicious. The Creme Brulee was my favorite. We also request some laundry and MY GOD the quality of it. My linen shirt came back AS GOOD AS NEW, honestly. No single crease.
About the hotel SPA, it was a truly magical experience. I reserved a traditional Chinese Medicine massage and the service was great. Although, from what I’ve experienced in other hotel spas, the price for me was a little bit off, despite the ambiance and the quality of the room. One note is that the robe felt old, it had some loose threads (and I mean I know this is is a small detail, but with everything else being just perfect, it just felt out of place to be honest).
Now, the cherry on top WAS THEY NOTICED MY BIRTHDAY. Like, even i had forgotten it! Honestly! They went above and beyond to make this a truly special occasion for me! I was really touched by this present. With the overall experience I was really motivated to comeback to the PuXuan but with this small but significant detail I WILL DEFINITELY KEEP COMING BACK.
Needless to say the food, the breakfast, the overall quality of the place is spectacular. Yes, maybe it can feel too modern at times, but you can feel the Chinese hospitality and details through the hotel.
The hotel manager was kind enough to wave us goodbye at the checkout (and I loved her shoes by the way, she was so stylish). I personally want to thank her for keeping this high standards of services! THANK YOU!
Please BOOK The PuXuan, do not hesitate on it!

Zuogeyoushenfenderen88I've been to Gubei Water Town a few times, and each time, I've stayed at the Gubei Light Hotel. There were years in between my visits, and it wasn't that I deliberately chose this hotel; it just consistently came out on top when I compared all the options. This time, the service was even better! Manager Zhao Benlin provided attentive service throughout, from confirming my reservation after booking to communicating during my stay – everything was comprehensive. They even accommodated our small requests, from the welcome fruit upon arrival to a send-off when we left, which made us feel very comfortable. A big thumbs up to Manager Zhao! Next time I go, I won't even bother looking at other options; I'll just contact Manager Zhao directly! 👍

FooChanWongThe place is beautiful and owner couple were super helpful! Location was perfect to go anywhere in the Watertown and not too far from the entrance to the Great Wall. Also super near to the square where the drone show is at. Breakfast was great, often being served with local treats for us to try. We stayed with 2 teens, 1 child and 2 adults. My children were upset that we didn’t stay any linger there.
If we would to be back, it’s definitely where we’ll be staying! Highly recommended!

okjszThis place is definitely worth a visit. It's huge inside and uniformly managed. The hotel is very large with many rooms, but the quality of the staff varies. Some front desk staff are excellent, while others are quite poor, but since they don't wear name tags, I can't identify specific individuals. On my floor, I was fortunate to meet a wonderful and very responsible auntie (Liang Chunyu). She was very dedicated, helpful, and explained everything I asked clearly. The Great Wall tickets are a bit pricey at over 200 yuan per person. Parking overnight at the hotel also costs 25 yuan, which feels a bit stingy for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, the dining, lodging, and entertainment within this ancient town are pretty good.

Anonymous UserThis is our second stay here, and our whole family was once again very satisfied! A special thanks to Olivier Wang, the lobby manager, who provided excellent communication from before check-in all the way through to our departure. He was incredibly responsive, answering all our questions promptly and making us feel completely at ease. What was most thoughtful was that he even helped us arrange a late check-out, which made traveling with children so much more relaxed – truly exceptional service. The hotel environment is outstanding, offering a unique sense of tranquility and design at the foot of the Great Wall. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service team is both professional and personable. Our entire family gives it a unanimous thumbs-up, and we'll definitely be back!

Guest UserWe stayed at Bolo Hotel for one night after a long day visiting the Great Wall, and what truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding service provided by Liam.
From the moment we arrived, Liam impressed us with his initiative and professionalism. As soon as we stepped out of the car, he immediately helped with our luggage and insisted on carrying our bags. While all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, Liam stood out by a mile because of how proactive he was in anticipating guests' needs.
We had purchased some fruits from a nearby local market, and without us even asking, Liam offered to wash them and later presented them beautifully plated in our room. He also offered to assist with our laundry, consistently going above and beyond what would normally be expected.
What impressed us most was that his attentiveness never felt forced. On the morning of our departure, despite having worked late the previous evening, he personally came by during breakfast to check that everything was going well and that we were enjoying our stay. At checkout, he had already noted our departure time and, without any prompting from us, proactively asked whether he should come and help with our luggage.
His service was truly second to none. Liam is a tremendous asset to Bolo Hotel and embodies the very highest standards of hospitality. He sets an example that many in the industry could learn from. We are extremely grateful for his kindness, initiative, and genuine care throughout our stay.
Thank you, Liam, for making our short stay such a memorable one.

Guest UserThis was our second stay in a slide room, and this time we booked for a whole week! The kids had a blast playing on the slide and with the building blocks right in the room. The hotel also has multiple indoor and outdoor pools, big and small, which kept the kids entertained every single day. The rooms come with a bathtub, which is perfect for a relaxing soak after all that splashing around. On days we didn't go swimming, we could head to the indoor playground or the petting zoo – there are just so many activities to choose from. Since we visited on a weekday, it wasn't crowded at all, making the experience absolutely fantastic. We really love it here!
Just one minor thing – it would be even more perfect if the hotel had a laundry room, haha.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You can reach the foot of the Great Wall in just two minutes. The room was super clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My in-laws, who were traveling with me, loved just relaxing in the armchair by the window, breathing in the fresh air, so much so that they said there was no need to even climb the Great Wall – just staying at the hotel was a treat in itself. There's also an adorable tabby cat at the hotel that loves getting belly rubs. Dining was convenient too; Yanxi Fishing Village is right in the courtyard, and the food portions were generous. After we came back from the Great Wall, we rested at the hotel, and the staff even thoughtfully brought us afternoon tea. It was such a warm gesture and really helped to wash away the fatigue from climbing the Wall. The scenery at Mutianyu is just beautiful! We'll definitely be back, and when we return, we'll stay here again and come to pet your cat once more!
