Mountain view Hotels in Beijing

Great value for money in terms of what one gets vs what we've paid for -- trendy design hotel, nice, spacious room, there's even a fridge (usually for this price it's not provided), nice lobby, adequate size breakfast area with nice ambience, good service all round. Good design and layout in room with comfortable beds, adequate powerpoints and charging points. I like that the basin area has a huge top so I could put all my toiletries (I've got a lot) Thoughtful little stuff that I like : torchlight-like light by the beside and mugs with rubber base to insulate the heat. The toiletries in the bathroom smell really good too! Breakfast has good variety -- different types of porridge, some steam dumplings, sweet potatoes and corn, etc, rice, different dishes, there's a noodle station where you could customise your noodles to a certain extent, eggs, there's also bread and some sandwiches (ready-made and can DIY too), fruits, milk, juices, coffee, soya bean milk. I feel that the options available is not bad for a hotel of such a level. Actually my booking didn't include breakfast but was advised by the staff (when I check-in) to join the hotel's membership for RMB$99 so that I can get free breakfast. Hotel lobby also serves water and orange juice - another nice touch. Hotel staff's service was very good all round. Offered to help send my luggage up when they saw I had lots of luggage and was alone (some hotels at this level wouldn't volunteer to do so). Was able to answer most of my questions re nearby malls, where to get stuff like fruits, milk, nearby attraction. House-keeping staff was good too. A big thank you to the 2 reception staff that was on night shift on 6 Apr who had helped me out re a delivery mistake made by ******* platform. They even had to look at the CCTV of the hotel to find out what really happened and it took a long while. They were very nice and patient throughout the whole drama. They also helped me speak to the customer service of ******* to try to resolve the problem. When the problem still could not be resolved that night and I was without what I required urgently like the charging cable for my phone, they staff lent me the hotel's. They also gave me a small fruit pack and a pack of milk and bread (complimentary) as I needed it the following morning to bring outdoors for the day. In addition, they had briefed their colleagues on the next shift re my case so that they're aware and could help me should I require more help. Excellent service! Re location, it's a little far off though but it's really near to Beijing Garden Expo Park (北京园博园) and the accompanying Garden Museum (园博园博物馆) . It's a really nice park that's really huge -- that is made up of little models of different style of parks (from Jiangnan to Lingnan to Beijing) It has pavilions, water features and other Chinese architecture and landscaping that usually adorn such traditional parks. Great for photoshoot. Best of all, there're very few people there! There's a small little mall about 700-800m away from the hotel, that has mainly food there with many different types of value for money eateries, coffee, a supermarket and some other shops for daily necessities that local residents need. For a real mall, head to one call 长安天街, that's about 5km away - you can get there quite easily within 10-15mins by Didi (the online platform where you could get a cab I really enjoyed staying here cost it's almost like a resort - a little remote but so quiet and spacious and there's no crowd at all -- very relaxing! I would really want to come back here especially when i want to be in a place where I can feel really relaxed without breaking the bank.

The hotel is quite large, and the executive twin room they gave us was very clean. My father, who I brought on this trip, was very happy and comfortable with how quiet it was. I especially want to mention Dandan, the hotel's account manager. She was incredibly prompt and professional in resolving and assisting us throughout our stay. She was warm and dedicated; whenever we needed her, she was immediately available and quickly solved any issues. She made us feel right at home as out-of-town visitors. Thank you~

The place is beautiful and owner couple were super helpful! Location was perfect to go anywhere in the Watertown and not too far from the entrance to the Great Wall. Also super near to the square where the drone show is at. Breakfast was great, often being served with local treats for us to try. We stayed with 2 teens, 1 child and 2 adults. My children were upset that we didn’t stay any linger there. If we would to be back, it’s definitely where we’ll be staying! Highly recommended!

The inn's location is excellent, right near Sun and Moon Island Plaza, making it convenient for shuttle buses and sculling boats. The room layout is well-designed, clean, and hygienic, allowing my family to rest comfortably. The breakfast provided by the inn is very generous, and the special dinner dishes are delicious and affordable. Waking up in the morning, you can enjoy the tranquility of the water town from the balcony. The host's service is also excellent. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

I had a great overall stay at the Beijing Gubei Water Town Hotel. It's located right near the scenic area entrance, making it very convenient to explore the water town and do the night tour of the Great Wall. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and check-in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding and decent soundproofing, allowing us to get a great night's rest after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast offered a good variety of tasty Chinese and Western options. The hotel itself has a wonderful resort-like vibe and is wonderfully quiet and relaxing at night. The only minor downside was that the elevators took a little while during peak hours, but it wasn't a big deal. Considering the location, service, cleanliness, and comfort, it offers great value for money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Gubei Water Town.

It's hard to review this place. It definitely wouldn't be this price anywhere else; it feels like it's trying to be upscale. I deliberately didn't choose the cheapest king room and instead picked a 2000 RMB room. The window view was a construction site and a parking lot. In the morning, there was constant banging, either from renovations or something else. At night, motorcycles roared by, which was absolutely jarring. There was no wabi-sabi at all; I was completely disappointed. The room itself didn't match the pictures either; my room layout was different from what was shown. Anyway, there were quite a few complaints, mainly that the price and the experience didn't align. I wouldn't recommend it. Plus, there's not much to do around here. You'd be better off staying near Yanqi Lake for a lake view. I thought I'd open the window to a mountain view or a courtyard, but instead, I saw what looked like a communal dining hall. Who can stand that?

The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe. The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.

We took advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday to bring the kids to Clubmed Yanqing Resort, making this Mid-Autumn Festival truly special and meaningful. The resort offers a plethora of activities, keeping us entertained from morning till night. The kids were incredibly excited the entire time and simply couldn't stop playing. The restaurant choices were also abundant, with a diverse range of dishes that both adults and children enjoyed. The room was meticulously cleaned, spotless, and odor-free, providing a very comfortable stay. A special shout-out must go to Kang for his exceptionally thoughtful service. He was always prompt in assisting with any request we had, truly going above and beyond. The resort had a strong Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere, and it was a relaxing and pleasant vacation for the whole family. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations. The kids had a blast, and we adults were able to truly unwind. We've already made plans with the family to come back for another vacation here when we get the chance.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You can reach the foot of the Great Wall in just two minutes. The room was super clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My in-laws, who were traveling with me, loved just relaxing in the armchair by the window, breathing in the fresh air, so much so that they said there was no need to even climb the Great Wall – just staying at the hotel was a treat in itself. There's also an adorable tabby cat at the hotel that loves getting belly rubs. Dining was convenient too; Yanxi Fishing Village is right in the courtyard, and the food portions were generous. After we came back from the Great Wall, we rested at the hotel, and the staff even thoughtfully brought us afternoon tea. It was such a warm gesture and really helped to wash away the fatigue from climbing the Wall. The scenery at Mutianyu is just beautiful! We'll definitely be back, and when we return, we'll stay here again and come to pet your cat once more!
