Service: The two staff members were gentle and polite, offering a soft and meticulous service. You could tell they genuinely liked their own hotel, as their service had a 'family-like' touch. Their perfectly pitched enthusiasm was much better than that super expensive hotel in Qianmen that's been getting a lot of buzz lately. I personally love this kind of service that conveys positive emotions, rather than just obedience from training, so I consider it the best in Beijing. Facilities: Satisfactory. Ambiance: Very quiet, with a hint of earthy fragrance. The absence of main lights really aids sleep. It’s quite suitable whether you're traveling alone or as a couple. Mutianyu Great Wall Tickets & Shuttle Bus: Thanks to the staff for the pick-up and drop-off. Also, the facilities at Mutianyu Great Wall are excellent, with a night tour option + cable car, which is great for those who dislike heat or getting tired. Welcome Fruit: Fresh, replenished promptly. Restaurants: Both the Chinese and Western restaurants are good. In the former, the lamb and dishes were fresh, and the sesame paste was rich. In the latter, the beef had a good fat distribution, was juicy, and not greasy. The cooking temperature and ingredients for all dishes were excellent. The restaurant staff service was also great; when it's busy, you can leave your number and go back to your room to rest. Late-night snack: Ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. You could tell the meat sauce wasn't pre-made, showing a lot of care. Thank you~

The room is spacious and bright, and the window is picturesque. The room of the Yongding Tower can be seen, which is refreshing. The sofa is simple and generous, and friends do not lose face when visiting. Attentive service, worthy of praise. šŸ‘

The family room is quite convenient, with four 1.2-meter beds and a connecting door between the two bedrooms. The air conditioning works great. The only downside is that the family room is on the third floor, which isn't particularly convenient whether you're with elderly guests or children. I also wish the lighting could be a bit brighter. The firework show (Dahuate) right outside the entrance is a big plus! It would be even better if bed rails were available. The location is excellent, close to everything.

This hotel is fantastic! The front desk staff are warm and efficient, and everyone's smiles made us feel right at home. The rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with delicious Beijing specialties. It's definitely a hotel worth returning to, and the surrounding transportation is very convenient. The lobby decor is also unique and stylish!

The family room for 5 was fantastic; the room environment was basically the same as the photos on the website. The room also had a small terrace overlooking the river, which would be especially atmospheric in the summer. There was a beautifully decorated small courtyard next to the dining area, and the entrance was also lovely. My photography skills aren't great, otherwise, the photos would have been very picturesque.

Coming to Mutianyu Great Wall, I didn't want to get up super early, so I chose to stay here for a night. The room overall was pretty good. The loft had a double bed and a single bed, and the downstairs tea area could comfortably sleep an adult as well. It felt quite spacious for three adults and two children. After checking in, we spontaneously decided to head up to the Great Wall right away. It turned out that the Great Wall in the evening was absolutely fantastic! We avoided the huge crowds and could leisurely admire the vast and magnificent scenery without any rush. The hotel's facilities were also great. It had its own children's playground, and the restaurant food tasted good. Staff helped with our luggage during both check-in and check-out, providing thoughtful and attentive service. Plus, there were so many relaxed and cozy cats sleeping everywhere, they were just adorable!

THE BOLO HOTEL

This was my first stay at the Beijing Baolu Hotel, and it happened to be during the New Year's holiday, so the occupancy rate was quite high. The hotel felt like a hidden gem, quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. The warm service from the front desk and staff made me feel right at home. I especially want to mention my butler, Xiaoxing. From carefully inquiring about our needs before check-in to her warm and attentive service during check-in, she demonstrated the professionalism and warmth expected of a star-rated hotel. On the afternoon of my stay, during the lacquer fan experience activity, she was the only one handling seven or eight pairs of children and parents, providing excellent emotional support throughout the activity. She also handled some of the more unreasonable suggestions from parents very well (she deserves a bonus!). Finally, one suggestion is that the lettering on the information panel next to the room is still quite bright even with the lights off at night. We could proactively provide eye masks for guests with higher sleep requirements. Also, since the butler also mentioned the air conditioning noise, could earplugs be included in the amenity kit?

COMMUNE BY THE GREAT WALL , IN THE UNBOUND COLLECTION BY HYATT

Finally checked into the Commune by the Great Wall, a Hyatt Centric property – specifically, the Bamboo House. This stay completely exceeded my expectations, so I'm sharing an honest review for anyone considering a visit. The exterior features tightly packed natural bamboo poles, complemented by a black sloping roof. Walking along the forest path, you can see the building softly blending into the mountains and woods from a distance, without appearing out of place at all. The most stunning feature is the independent outdoor bamboo tea room. Bamboo columns enclose a semi-transparent space with white sand covering the ground. Through the bamboo gaps, you can gaze at the mountains and forest. Sitting quietly and enjoying tea here creates an incredibly atmospheric experience, perfect for photos. The public areas boast large floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the green trees outside like natural landscape paintings. During the day, light and shadows filter into the rooms through the bamboo poles, creating ever-changing scenery. Practical Tips for Your Stay: 1. The room offers excellent privacy. It's a standalone building surrounded by dense trees, away from the hustle and bustle of public areas. It's ideal for those seeking quiet relaxation, couples on a getaway, or small gatherings of friends. 2. The building materials are natural bamboo, so there's a natural bamboo and wood scent. If you're sensitive to slight color variations or textures in natural materials, please be aware of this beforehand. The gaps in the bamboo create a soft, translucent feel; if you require ultimate privacy, simply pull down the indoor blackout blinds. 3. The hotel is located in a valley, so the temperature difference between morning/evening and daytime is greater than in the city. Remember to bring a light jacket if you plan to sit in the outdoor tea room in the evening. 4. The resort grounds are very large. I recommend driving in, as walking to and from the restaurant can be quite far. For dining, you can choose the hotel's restaurant or bring your own snacks and enjoy them in the outdoor tea room. Areas for Improvement: When I checked in, the room had just been cleaned, and there was still water on the floor, suggesting a rushed and less-than-thorough cleaning. The 'Old Beijing style' afternoon tea, which looked great for photos in the lobby, consisted of pre-bought items of generally mediocre quality.

We had such a fantastic time bringing our child to the Le Du Port Marriott this trip! My child was participating in a robotics competition, and after adding the hotel's butler, Skyller, on WeChat, they pre-checked us in so my child could rest during lunchtime. We learned it was also my child's birthday that day, and they even prepared balloons and a small cake, which made my child incredibly happy. Any requests were promptly addressed. A huge thumbs up to Skyller! šŸ‘ The room was spacious and clean, and the children's amenities were thoughtfully prepared; the small slippers and toothbrush made my child feel really involved. Breakfast offered a wide variety, and there was even a dedicated children's serving area, making mealtime enjoyable for my little one and stress-free for us. The pool temperature was just right for splashing around and enjoying the hot springs with the kids, plus there's a children's play area. It was a truly special birthday, and the attention to detail in the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this to families looking for a 'one-stop' destination for kids around Beijing.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You can reach the foot of the Great Wall in just two minutes. The room was super clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My in-laws, who were traveling with me, loved just relaxing in the armchair by the window, breathing in the fresh air, so much so that they said there was no need to even climb the Great Wall – just staying at the hotel was a treat in itself. There's also an adorable tabby cat at the hotel that loves getting belly rubs. Dining was convenient too; Yanxi Fishing Village is right in the courtyard, and the food portions were generous. After we came back from the Great Wall, we rested at the hotel, and the staff even thoughtfully brought us afternoon tea. It was such a warm gesture and really helped to wash away the fatigue from climbing the Wall. The scenery at Mutianyu is just beautiful! We'll definitely be back, and when we return, we'll stay here again and come to pet your cat once more!
