Perfect
JJiujiurenshengmeiThe room is spacious and bright, and the window is picturesque. The room of the Yongding Tower can be seen, which is refreshing. The sofa is simple and generous, and friends do not lose face when visiting. Attentive service, worthy of praise. 👍

FFooChanWongThe place is beautiful and owner couple were super helpful! Location was perfect to go anywhere in the Watertown and not too far from the entrance to the Great Wall. Also super near to the square where the drone show is at. Breakfast was great, often being served with local treats for us to try. We stayed with 2 teens, 1 child and 2 adults. My children were upset that we didn’t stay any linger there. If we would to be back, it’s definitely where we’ll be staying! Highly recommended!

FFreya0226I've been to Gubei four or five times, and this is my second stay at Gubei Zhiguang Hotel. This trip and stay were both very satisfying. As soon as I booked the hotel, Connie, the assistant lobby manager, contacted me to inform me about the parking location and the specific procedures for entering the scenic area and checking in. When we checked in, they even gave a doll to my child. The hotel package included a double dinner. I thought it would be ordinary food, but it was surprisingly amazing! We ate there for two days, and the dishes were different each time. The hotel breakfast was also very rich. The bed in our room was very soft and comfortable to sleep in. Any issues I had, Connie quickly resolved them for me. Plus, hotel guests get an 18% discount on meals within the scenic area. I do have two suggestions: First, it might be a special period for the hotel, but during the air conditioning adjustment period, our room had no cooling. It was quite hot these past two days. However, Connie brought a fan, which solved the problem well. Second, breakfast is from 7-10 am. I personally think it's a bit early. On vacation, people tend to sleep in, so setting an alarm just for breakfast is a bit much. I hope it can be extended until 11 am. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I will choose this place again next time.

DDouzilvxingdeyiyiEnvironment: You can see the Shuiguan Great Wall right before your eyes. It's only a few hundred meters from Shuiguan Great Wall, a 5-minute walk directly to it. No need to rush when climbing the Great Wall. The courtyard has its own open-air private hot spring pool, and the water temperature is just perfect. Soaking in the hot spring, feeling the gentle breeze, and looking up at the Great Wall. An immersive relaxation, absolutely amazing! Service: The butler service is really great 👌 Everything is arranged in advance, so you don't have to worry about anything. It's even more attentive than a five-star hotel. Couples Afternoon Tea: The fruit and mousse cake were delicious. Goodnight drink (milk or mulled wine): I chose milk 🥛 It was warm and after drinking it, my sleep quality improved.

XXiaonanding001This hotel is truly amazing. The moment you step into the lobby, the magnificent crystal chandeliers immediately catch your eye, creating an instant atmosphere of luxury. The room is exquisitely furnished, and the bedding is so soft and comfortable, it feels like sleeping on clouds. The hotel's service is absolutely impeccable; the staff always maintain a warm smile, and any request is promptly addressed and perfectly resolved. The dining experience is also praiseworthy, with a rich and varied selection of delicious dishes, each one like a work of art. The hotel's recreational facilities are comprehensive, whether it's the gym or the swimming pool, you can fully relax and rejuvenate. Here, every detail showcases quality and attentiveness, making you want to linger. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality experience.

GGuest UserBecause this hotel was said to be renovated when I went there. We were finally arranged to Gubei Light Hotel. The hotel is very convenient to walk to the water town. You can also swim inside. Thank you to my colleagues at Ctrip for helping me upgrade for free! The children had a great time upgrading the perfect room to a family suite with a theme. They especially remember that the morning buffet in this hotel was very rich and delicious!

MMeiyincidufuHighly, highly recommended!!! Our group of four climbed Dongling Mountain this morning, and the scenery was so beautiful we didn't want to go back to Beijing. On a whim, we wanted to find a hot spring hotel nearby where we could relax and soak, and we found this one. The scenery was absolutely stunning!!! The entire village has excellent red-themed architecture and a very positive atmosphere. Even the small village museum's 3D video was quite good, creating a great ambiance, and in the morning, you could see the iconic red star right outside your window!! And the best part? The hot spring was incredibly relaxing! Enjoying a barbecue in the misty mountains, listening to the rain while soaking in the hot spring… friends, it was indescribably comfortable!! The owner and the manager were very kind, providing us with free breakfast. After breakfast, we immediately bought two jars of the same fermented bean curd online—it was so delicious, hahaha! In short, a perfect recommendation, we will definitely go again!!!

MM56405****Absolutely fantastic! The two kids played in the room until midnight without any need for adult supervision. The moms just chatted and drank the whole time – it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is super close to the ancient town, only a five-minute walk. There are supermarkets downstairs and restaurants right outside the door, which is incredibly convenient. The owner is really nice and was quick to resolve any issues we had. Remember to bring some sausages when you go; there are lots of little cats downstairs waiting for you to feed them!

GGuest UserThis experience was a bit disappointing! First, the good points: the accommodation package included a high-quality afternoon tea set, and the staff were very friendly! Now for the not-so-good parts: I'm not sure if it was due to the increased traffic during the May Day holiday, but the room cleaning was unsatisfactory. There were hairs everywhere, on the sofa and in the corners of the walls. I wonder if the previous guest had a pet. We had to request a second vacuum cleaning! The evening BBQ buffet was definitely something to avoid. I've never had such a terrible BBQ. It felt like an immature dish added on a whim without any proper menu development! There were no labels at the buffet counter, and all the BBQ items were mixed together. We had to ask the staff, who then had to ask the chef, and the chef would then explain each item one by one. It was basically a 'mystery box' buffet. The scallops were overcooked and a bit tough. There was no juice at the buffet, and a star-rated hotel actually served cold mixed noodles (liangpi)! The worst part was that the BBQ meat and grilled tendon weren't fully cooked. They lacked chewiness and that grilled flavor; it was more like they were par-boiled first and then grilled. The overall temperature of the food wasn't very hot, and if you didn't eat it quickly at your table, it would get cold. The only highlight was that the crayfish were decent. The watermelon at the buffet wasn't as good as the watermelon in the afternoon tea set. The dinner menu was actually worse than breakfast.

GGuest UserDidn't want to travel too far for our holiday, so we chose the Marriott Badaling to relax with the kids. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from Wanda Plaza, which caters to all our dining, drinking, and shopping needs. The room was spacious and well-arranged, maintaining Marriott's usual high standards. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options; even though it was crowded during the holiday, the queue was orderly, and there was plenty of food. There are many hot spring pools with good privacy, but soaking in them these past two days was a bit awkward – the outdoor wind was too strong and it was a bit sunny, while the indoor water was a bit shallow and the activities felt a bit childish, not really suitable for older kids. The indoor swimming pool, however, was great, with clean, odorless water and plenty of lounge chairs. Overall, this short getaway was quite satisfying. A special thanks to Skyller for helping us get extra perks and for the very attentive, butler-style service. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and family for a holiday.
