"Like a private garden of a royal estate, this courtyard hotel absolutely nails the traditional vibe. The breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and warm. The location and views are both excellent. We're already planning to stay here again for our next family trip. Our guide, Xiao Bu, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, a fantastic experience."

"Room was clean and spacious. We requested for smoke-free treatment and the room had no smell of smoke. "Stayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay."

"New hotel, with spotless facilities and friendly staff. It's very close to the Chengde South Station, which is handy for high speed trains - though is a bus ride or taxi ride away from downtown Chengde and the Mountain Resort area. (Bus 29 takes you down there, but takes a while). Breakfast was good, and there are snacks in reception wheel you come back. The restaurant is only open in the morning - no bar/other facilities, but there are places to eat/shop nearby, though the area feels very new and developing. It was a great choice for me as I came in and out of Chengde South Station and I used the hotel as my base."

"Facilities: Comfortable bedding, complete amenities. Cleanliness: Clean, no odors. Environment: Convenient transportation and dining options. Just a 10-minute walk to the Mountain Resort and a 5-minute walk to the Erxianju Night Market. Service: The room was prepared according to our reservation requirements. We were very friendly in resolving any issues and even upgraded our room type."

"Service: This hotel never ceases to amaze me! From the moment you step into the lobby, you can feel its high quality and professional service. Facilities: The room is spacious and bright, with all facilities available. Hygiene: The room is clean and the bed is super comfortable. The staff members Xiao Sun, Xiao Zhang and Xiao Cao are warm and courteous. They always meet my needs at the first time. They truly think about what the guests want and pay attention to their concerns, making them feel at home. Environment: The hotel has an elegant environment, exquisite decoration, clean and tidy rooms, and thoughtful details. The catering is also very delicious and rich in variety. The service was impeccable and gave me a warm feeling like going home. Both the hardware facilities and software services are top-notch, the rooms are stylishly decorated, and all the equipment works well. The price is also very reasonable, the location is convenient, there are many restaurants around, and the price-performance ratio is very high. The hotel staff are very professional and friendly, which made me spend a wonderful time here. I am very satisfied with my stay here and highly recommend this hotel!"

"The Chengde Hotel boasts an excellent location, being close to all major attractions and making taxi rides very convenient. There are also plenty of restaurants, fast food options, supermarkets, and a night market nearby. The front desk kindly upgraded our room from a 1.2-meter bed to two 1.5-meter beds. While the room felt a bit snug with the larger beds, the improved sleep quality was definitely worth it. Much appreciated! We were offered complimentary almond tea on our first night, which was delicious! On the fourth floor is 'Chengde Feast,' the hotel's restaurant, which offers a good selection of dishes. Their renowned lamb soup and 'Intangible Cultural Heritage Lung Meatballs' are even available at breakfast, so you can save space when ordering dinner and try other specialties. The staff at Chengde Feast were incredibly welcoming and considerate, offering helpful dish recommendations. We enjoyed dinner there on both evenings and were very satisfied! When we returned from sightseeing on the second day, our room had already been promptly cleaned. The unlimited mineral water was a fantastic perk! Upon check-in, I connected with the front desk via WeChat, and they immediately sent useful local information and sightseeing route suggestions. As I didn't require further assistance, I didn't get to experience more of their personalized one-on-one service. If I had to point out a minor drawback, the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was good, but the shower stall was too small to hang clothes or towels. We had to place them outside the shower, which was quite inconvenient for a twin room. I would likely choose Chengde Hotel again on my next visit to Chengde. I hope the hotel's service truly prioritizes guest satisfaction rather than simply aiming for good reviews. The 'Weng Yuda mailbox' in every room already reflects their commitment to service, so simply maintaining their high standards would be perfect."

"This is a very nice hotel in the heart of Chengde, within easy reach of the city's various scenic spots. The interior is quite nice, but the exterior is a bit lackluster, with a construction site in front. The front desk was very helpful and offered us four bottles of water when we left. I urge anyone planning to visit Chengde not to drive, don't drive, listen to my advice. Parking in Chengde is particularly difficult, especially during peak tourist season. Parking is difficult at various tourist attractions. When the front desk told us it would be best to take a taxi, we thought it would be more convenient to drive, but parking proved to be a real hassle."

"The hotel's facade is a little understated, but once you step inside, the reception area boasts a European-inspired decor. An elevator provides direct access to the rooms, which is very convenient. The rooms themselves were perfectly adequate for our needs. A major highlight is the location: it's incredibly close to the Chengde Mountain Resort, probably just a 5-10 minute walk away. We arrived quite late after a long journey that evening, but the staff were still on hand to help guide us to parking and proactively offered to assist with our luggage. Their service was exceptionally warm and attentive – a big thumbs up! 👍 The only drawback is the lack of breakfast. We had to find our own food, and I personally didn't manage to find any suitable options nearby – though I'm not sure if I was just looking in the wrong places. However, a leisurely stroll around the park directly opposite was genuinely relaxing!"
