Chengde Hotels with Wifi

"Staying at Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. First off, it's not a towering high-rise, which immediately gives it a cozy, homely vibe. Plus, the hotel doesn't cater to a massive number of guests, only about a hundred or so at most, meaning they can offer a more personalized and attentive service, or as I'd put it, 'meticulous care.' This included thoughtful touches like having snacks, candies, and refreshing drinks available at the entrance, and sewing kits and other small emergency items in the hallways of each building. From the moment you step in, everyone you encounter at this hotel actively engages with guests, listening carefully to their suggestions and needs. This level of personalized interaction is something I haven't experienced in hotels in recent years, and it's truly commendable. Guests who've stayed even just one day are greeted by the hotel's cat rubbing against their legs as soon as they walk in – it's incredibly heartwarming! The restaurant staff were all very dedicated, helping guests choose dishes and ensuring nothing went to waste, which was lovely. When they heard we enjoyed millet porridge, they even sold us some to take back to Beijing! One staff member, Zhi, proactively offered to buy us tofu (from Zhang Yu), which was a huge convenience. Mr. Yu Changhong (Xiao Yu) provides exceptional service, treating every guest like family, and truly fosters that 'home away from home' feeling. I do have a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could keep two electronic blood pressure monitors and phone charging cables on hand. When guests book a room, especially if they are elderly, it could be noted that a blood pressure monitor can be provided in their room, saving them the hassle of bringing their own. Having charging cables readily available would also alleviate any worries about charging phones."

"The hotel's facilities are a bit old, but they are still clean and tidy. The location is very close to the Mountain Resort, and it's convenient for dining and shopping. The hotel itself has limited parking, so during peak season, you might need to park on a nearby side street. Despite these minor flaws, service quality is definitely the top priority in the hospitality industry. Every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and attentive, from proactively reaching out to add a personal concierge, to helping with luggage, assisting with parking, and providing travel advice – they were meticulously thorough in every detail. While the hardware facilities might not earn a perfect score, their work attitude absolutely deserves a five-star rating."

"This is definitely the hotel to stay at when you're in Chengde. The location is excellent, very convenient, and you can get to almost anywhere within a 10-minute drive. The environment is fantastic; there's a river in front with a beautiful night view. The room was quiet and comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the hot water pressure was amazing. The AC was strong too. Breakfast was quite comprehensive, with bread, milk, and fried rice, and plenty of seating. The front desk ladies were all lovely and always smiling, very friendly. There's also a small gym, which is a nice bonus. They even gave us a small fridge magnet when we checked out."

"The hotel is in a great location, right in the city center and just a 1.3km walk from the Mountain Resort. The room rates offer excellent value for money. The food is a real highlight; breakfast is plentiful. The service is warm and enthusiastic. We ate lunch and dinner both days at the hotel's Chengde Banquet restaurant, which is a very popular spot with locals. The prices aren't expensive, and the food is distinctive. Highly recommended!"

"The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. We stayed in an Executive King Room and were pleasantly surprised to receive two complimentary bath vouchers. After enjoying the bathing service, all the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away. In the evening, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We were extremely satisfied. Overall, our stay at Zhaofeng International Hotel was a perfect experience and truly added a wonderful touch to our trip to Chengde."

"I visited Puning Hotel near the Chengde Mountain Resort in the summer, and its location is excellent, very close to several main attractions. The room comes with a small courtyard, perfect for brewing tea and chatting, which was incredibly relaxing. The hotel's own courtyard features pavilions, terraces, and the soothing sound of flowing water, creating a refined atmosphere. The staff were warm and hospitable. I believe true coolness isn't found externally, but in one's ability to find inner peace and joy in the everyday moments of life, making the journey happy, pleasant, and full of memories."

"Staying for two extra days gave me an even better experience and understanding of the hotel. First off, the bed was incredibly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm. The 1.35-meter wide bed was perfect for a refreshing sleep. If they could swap out the pillows for buckwheat ones, it would be even more considerate for older guests. The toiletries were excellent too. I especially loved the scent of the shower gel – it smelled amazing! They even thoughtfully provided body lotion. Big kudos to the housekeeping staff; they were incredibly prompt with cleaning. I never had to ask. Even with my late departures and early returns, the room was always spotless when I got back – it really won me over. The hotel's location is another highlight. It's super close to all the attractions, making city walks incredibly pleasant and convenient. Next time I visit, I'll definitely choose this place again. It's versatile – offering both proximity and distance, and a great mix of amenities and comfort."

"New hotel, with spotless facilities and friendly staff. It's very close to the Chengde South Station, which is handy for high speed trains - though is a bus ride or taxi ride away from downtown Chengde and the Mountain Resort area. (Bus 29 takes you down there, but takes a while). Breakfast was good, and there are snacks in reception wheel you come back. The restaurant is only open in the morning - no bar/other facilities, but there are places to eat/shop nearby, though the area feels very new and developing. It was a great choice for me as I came in and out of Chengde South Station and I used the hotel as my base."

"The room we were given was amazing, it had a great view, the beds were comfy, and had a nice spot to sit and eat breakfast each day. Speaking of, getting deliveries from ******* straight to our room was also really easy.  They also had really great service. When we first arrived we found the bedroom floor to be a little sticky, so we asked if they wouldn’t mind mopping it. That was done immediately, and we enjoyed the rest of our stay :) everything else was super clea"

"Hotel is grand and new. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and some menus change everyday. Staffs there are professional, nice and polite. Hotel also provide free entry couple to the spa wellness club adjoining to the hotel. We really enjoy the hotel services and facilities during the 4 days stay. We definitely will stay st this hotel if coming to chengde again. Strongly recommended!"
