CCocodaiTraveling with both the elderly and young kids, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for the weekend. I had already set my sights on this hotel, and the drive here was smooth. The hotel grounds are lovely, very peaceful and comfortable. No TV is actually a genius move, really good! It really helped my family focus on relaxation and the outdoors. The kids absolutely loved the private hot spring. They were a bit disappointed they couldn't go into the public one, so for 468 for 2 hours, we booked a private one for them to enjoy. It was fantastic, especially the little milk bath – so refreshing and cool.

The staff were also very friendly and even provided special toiletries and slippers for the little ones. The hotel's location is super convenient; you can walk to the Chengde Mountain Resort, and it's really easy to get to the Erxianju Night Market in the evening.

The highlight of our stay was the staff's integrity. When we accidentally left a mobile phone behind, they went out of their way to call us so we could return and collect it. SSteve HKNew hotel, with spotless facilities and friendly staff. It's very close to the Chengde South Station, which is handy for high speed trains - though is a bus ride or taxi ride away from downtown Chengde and the Mountain Resort area. (Bus 29 takes you down there, but takes a while). Breakfast was good, and there are snacks in reception wheel you come back. The restaurant is only open in the morning - no bar/other facilities, but there are places to eat/shop nearby, though the area feels very new and developing. It was a great choice for me as I came in and out of Chengde South Station and I used the hotel as my base.

Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices

GGuest UserWent with my wife during the October 7 day holiday . Our normal go to place was the Phoenix hotel that was booked. Place was ok. I say a 3.5/5 Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets. The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be. The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot. Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat. No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it. Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

HHooProbably my favorite hotel of the trip, it was the low season and the hotel was pretty empty with staff aplenty hence the excellent service. It was clean and they even had complimentary dessert soup in the evening. Location was reasonable and there were plenty of eateries around. Definitely enjoyed my stay here!

There are various sightseeing cars, carriages, camel riding, horse riding, and lakeside trains available in the Colorful Forest Scenic Area. If you are tired, take a car, and if you are not tired, hike. If you are hiking, the wooden plank road is also gentle, with basically no steep slopes, which is suitable for traveling with the elderly and children. 2. The scenic area costs 7 yuan for grilled sausages, 10 yuan for ice cream (a large cup), and 15 yuan for carrots for feeding deer (a large bag), which are friendly prices. 3. The scenic area is picturesque, and it is very filmy to take photos and check in. There are also various performances, which are very beautiful. 4. The service at the Squirrel Inn is very good. We arrived late and did not check in in time. At 7:30 in the evening, the front desk called to remind us that the bonfire party would start soon. 5. The bonfire party was so high, and there was a fireworks show. The scenic area was attentive. Disadvantages: Can a shelf be added to the bathroom and washroom? It is too inconvenient. Except for the bathroom, other aspects are perfect, a perfect parent-child trip. Come again next time.

LLanseguoziliThe hotel is conveniently located, with a bus stop just outside the door. It is about a ten-minute walk from the Mountain Resort. It is also very convenient for eating and shopping. Just across the road from the hotel is the Jinlong Shopping Plaza. The front desk service is very enthusiastic, the breakfast is quite rich, and the room is fully equipped and clean. Chengde is also beautiful in autumn.

GGuest UserStay was good as long as the temperature is cold. We realised that as long as the warmer is set up, the stink bugs infesting the room will come out in droves and will actively be hitting any light source around.. I counted at least 12 stink bugs and personally caught 8 of them, so if you're uncomfortable around bugs it may be better to keep the room temperature as low as possible, as they all disappear and generally do not disturb us so long the room is kept cold.
