Hotels near Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh

I stayed in courtyard by Marriot, Baxter place for 6 days, as a solo senior female traveler and I highly recommend this hotel. Staff were all friendly, patient , attentive and courteous. They answered all questions with a smile , advising & assisting in whatever way they could. Counter is manned 24h. Room was clean & spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows, a large work table with plugs nearby and comfortable chair, walk in shower with easily adjustable water temperature. (A small recommendation would be to pad the table legs as can be quite painful if you accidentally kicked it.) Housekeeping was consistent and unobtrusive. Staff oriented me on how to adjust room heating and cooling when asked. There are 2 lifts and a ramp at entrance for those worried about dragging their luggages.  Although I didn’t patronize but knowing there was an  in-house restaurant and room service was reassuring for those wet cold or tired days when you don’t feel like venturing out. There’s also a small market for essentials. Ice cubes & a microwave is also available.  Technical support came quickly when I wasn’t sure regarding door lock system. Location is excellent, within 5 min walk of Picardy tram line stop which is a  cheap and convenient means to & from Edinburgh Airport.  Hotel is about 10-15 min walk to Princess street with many restaurants within 3-5 min walk. The playhouse theater is just next door. I am so happy to have chosen your hotel-Thank you for your services and support. Special shoutout to Zheni and Yura.

We stayed at Mount Royal Hotel in Edinburgh for 4 nights. The rooms are small but clean, and our room had a stunning view of the Scott Monument—definitely a highlight! The bathroom was quite compact as well, and the beds weren’t very soft, but for the price, the location is unbeatable. Just a 5-minute walk to charming bakeries like The Milkman, and so convenient for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly sweet and polite, making our stay even more enjoyable. Don’t miss the view from the bar near the reception—it’s gorgeous!

Premier Inn is located near the airport and convenient place to do last minute shopping before travel back home.

We recently stayed at Novotel Edinburgh for our first wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience! We also enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, especially the pool and bar area, which added to the overall luxury of our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Leith Waterfront and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean, modern, and well-maintained, offering exactly what you’d expect—comfortable rooms and great value for money. The location is a good. Being right beside the waterfront gives the area a relaxed feel and public transport links into the city centre are convenient, making it easy to explore Edinburgh without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The breakfast was a nice touch—simple but satisfying, with plenty of hot and cold options to start the day. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient. Overall, Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Leith Waterfront is a great choice if you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable stay with easy access to both Leith and central Edinburgh. I’d happily stay again.

Really comfortable and quiet hotel near Edinburgh Castle. Checkin was smooth, the staff are friendly, and the room was spacious. It’s also easy to reach the airport as the tram stop is around 5 minutes from the hotel on foot. The hotel offers secure luggage storage also! Amenities in the room could be improved! I’d stay here again during my next visit to Edinburgh.

very good and would recommend, it’s also near the walk of leith pathway where you can walk to the stockbridge from there. good location and a 20 min walk to the city.

Travelled with my sister to Scotland on our first cross-country trip across the UK. The hostel was good, fairly clean, and accessible. Great location and good vibes. Would recommend.

Nice hotel. The breakfast was great. The hotel was not far from the city center or tourist extraction. Uber could easily get.

A last minute booking as my flight was delayed and couldn’t make connecting train, everything was fine, bottom bunk a little short on headroom but fine for sleeping, everything clean but energy saving toilets often didn’t flush but thats just down to water power, Perfect location could’ve better placed with its own bar and 5 mins walk to train station and city centre
