Hotels near Hoehyeon Station, Seoul

I had a really great stay here! The hotel is a new place, and it shows everything feels fresh and modern. I was particularly impressed with the windows; they block out all the outside noise perfectly, which made for an excellent and comfortable night's sleep. The room follows a nice minimalist style but still has all the essentials you could need. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Here's a breakdown of my stay, highlighting the pros and cons: **The Good:** * There's a lounge on each floor (or so it seemed) offering complimentary coffee and instant ramen. Laundry facilities, including a washing machine, detergent, and fabric softener, are also available for free use. I didn't personally use them, nor did I see anyone else using them. * The place was incredibly clean. Oddly enough, there were chairs in the hallway. * The location is fantastic! There are tons of restaurants nearby, so you'll never be short of dining options. It's also very close to the train station. * I had a late check-in planned, but the staff communicated with me beforehand via message, which put my mind at ease. After 9 PM, check-in is done via a kiosk. * I was able to request an extra room key. * The refrigerator is a good, family-sized one, and the freezer has plenty of space. * They even provide toothbrushes, which is a rare find these days! Bath towels are also included. You can freely replenish toilet paper and hand towels, and fresh bath towels can be obtained from the front desk. **The Not-So-Good:** * I could faintly hear karaoke sounds seeping through the walls, but it didn't bother me personally. * Because there's a PC center (or similar) and a karaoke establishment in the building, I sometimes had to wait for an elevator, as they were often full. * The shower drain had a slight odor. * While the shower and toilet are somewhat separated, they're very close together and the space is extremely cramped. Toilet paper, shampoo, and other items are placed directly above the toilet, so you have to be careful when showering to avoid soaking the toilet paper. There seem to be frequent complaints about the karaoke noise, and they appear to be taking measures to address it (I've included a photo at the end). Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely consider staying here again if the opportunity arises.

The hotel is located on the 3F of a building close to Seoul station. While convenient, the building itself is old and houses other businesses that often leave large bags of trash at the staircase landings, or have tenants that smoke in the stairwell and make the climb with your luggage even arduous. The hotel rooms are really small and the walls are rather thin. However, the floor and sheets were clean, the toilet did not smell and the general cleanliness of the room was very good. Would visit again ONLY as a one night layover if I was travelling early from seoul station.

I've stayed here before, and it's small but clean, and the staff are very friendly. At the time, I requested a first-floor room because of my child, and thankfully they assigned us one. I was so grateful. If you're not looking for a luxury hotel, the facilities here are perfectly adequate for the price. Plus, it's conveniently located close to Myeongdong and Namdaemun for easy travel. The only thing is that the bathroom shower door doesn't close completely, so water tends to splash out when showering, which required extra caution.

Overall, our stay at Eight Rest Hostel Jong-ro was average. 📍 The location is very convenient. Both subway stations and bus stops are within walking distance, making it easy to get around the city. It’s well connected to major areas, which was definitely a plus. 🏨 The room was quite small, especially after opening our luggage, but basic amenities and facilities were provided and worked fine. Everything essential was available. 🔊 Soundproofing was weak. We could clearly hear noise from the neighboring room, and the music from shops downstairs was quite loud late at night. This may be an issue for light sleepers. Overall, it’s a decent option if you prioritize location and mainly use the room for resting after a full day out. However, if you are sensitive to noise, it might not be the best choice.

The location is good as it's within walking distance from both Seoul Station and Myeongdong Street. However, the area around the hotel has many restaurants open late, and a lot of people smoke there at night, which might feel a bit unsafe if you're alone. The room itself is a little old, but it's great that the toilet and shower are completely separate. We had a small issue during check-in, but the front desk staff handled it kindly, which I appreciate. There's a hot water dispenser in the common area. Also, it seemed fine to leave our luggage at the hotel for a bit after check-out.

The hotel is very close to the subway station, and there's a convenience store and coffee shop right in the building. The room was a bit small, but the morning fruit was excellent. On the downside, the room's air conditioning didn't provide heat, so it was quite cold, and they had to bring us an electric heater. It's nice that there are charging ports by the bed, but you have to leave a reading light on for them to work. The breakfast area felt a bit crowded.

Super easy to find, practically a straight walk from Seoul Station! The room was a little on the small side, but it was perfectly adequate for a brief stopover before heading back home after visiting other regions. The air conditioning was tricky to manage; it would get too cold with it on and too warm with it off. It required some self-management, like keeping it on, dressing warmly, and using blankets.

My first impression was that it was very clean, but a bit small! The bathroom had everything you needed. The location couldn't be better! It's just 100 meters in a straight line to the Shinsegae Duty-Free Shop and 450 meters to Lotte Duty-Free Shop! This place is a godsend for international shoppers, saving a lot of travel hassle. We booked late and didn't get a room with a window, which was a bit of a shame! If you care about your living environment, try to get a windowed room, though they are a bit more expensive. The downside is that the soundproofing isn't great, which isn't ideal for light sleepers. The upside: the breakfast is also very rich! Different kinds of porridge every day! Staple foods include bread, eggs, and cabbage and corn salad! You wash your own dishes. Disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided! Just bring your own toothbrush cup and slippers!

The bed was incredibly comfortable, with just the right firmness for the pillows and duvet, allowing me to relax as soon as I lay down, leading to excellent sleep quality. The bathroom was also very clean, well-stocked with amenities, and the hot water was consistent, making for a truly refreshing shower. The hotel's location is also very convenient, making it easy to go out for meals, shopping, or use public transport, which simplified my itinerary planning. The overall environment was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good rest and relaxation. Whether you're traveling for leisure, business, or simply looking for a place to unwind, I highly recommend this hotel. It's genuinely comfortable, leaving a great impression, and it's a place I'd gladly return to.
