Spa Hotels in Sydney

They say Australian hotels have bad service, and I experienced this first-hand. Even at a 5-star hotel, the mini-bar was constantly forgotten during daily cleanings in both rooms I booked, which were on different floors. Also, during breakfast, genuinely friendly staff were few and far between. Out of all the days I stayed, only two female staff members greeted guests with a smile. On April 5th, the front desk was manned by a male attendant in a brown suit, with a brush cut and a beard. My parents arrived before me, so he gave them three English menus. When I arrived, I asked him for a Chinese menu. He said 'okay,' but I waited for a very long time, and he never brought it. During this time, I asked two other staff members about it. I told them I needed a Chinese menu, and they both said 'okay,' but none of them brought it to me. I waited for a very, very long time! I couldn't wait any longer, so I took an English menu myself and went to the front desk to exchange it. As I walked towards the front desk, the same male attendant with the brush cut and beard also walked over. I then told the female attendant at the front desk that I needed a Chinese menu. The male attendant then came over and *actually said* he was also looking for a Chinese menu 🙄. In reality, menus in various languages are usually available at the front desk. And normally, when they check guests in, they ask what language they prefer and provide the appropriate menu. The staff on duty that day hadn't placed Chinese menus on the counter and then delayed providing them when guests asked. I don't want to bring up 'discrimination against Chinese people,' but the attitude of prioritizing foreign guests while neglecting Chinese guests is unacceptable. I will absolutely never choose Capella again!

We stayed at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney for five nights, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Although the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, it didn't bother us much as we were out most of the time. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the metro station and close to several major attractions, making it a very convenient base for exploring Sydney. The breakfast was also satisfying, with a good variety of options that kept us full every morning. However, there were a few minor downsides. The hotel has three elevators, but only two were operational during our stay. For an 18-story hotel, this meant the elevators were often full during peak hours, and we ended up taking the stairs most of the time. One evening, when we returned to the hotel, the front desk was unstaffed, which made us feel a bit less secure. Additionally, the room door locks seemed a bit old-fashioned and didn't look very secure from the outside. We hope the hotel will upgrade them in the future. Despite these minor shortcomings, the positives outweighed the negatives. This is a well-located and comfortable hotel, and we would still happily recommend it to others.

The hotel's location is quite convenient, right next to the MRT station. The service is also very good, and it's quiet. The hygiene is decent too. The only downside is that the shower head has very weak water pressure, which makes showering a bit of a struggle. Otherwise, everything else is good.

First stop in Sydney! Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the hotel. The location is unbeatable; it's so convenient to get anywhere, perfect for a city walk. It's also very friendly for fashion lovers. The lobby isn't maintained very well, it only looks good when the lights are on at night. We were upgraded to a super awesome ocean view room this time, which made me really happy! I highly recommend the hotel's breakfast and the dinner buffet – both are top-notch in Sydney.

The amenities provided are complete and sufficient. 3. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool and fitness area, perfect for relaxation. The overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. 4. The front desk staff are approachable, and the check-in and check-out processes are smooth. Any requests or communications are handled promptly. The service is generally satisfactory. 5. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, catering to popular tastes and diverse dining preferences. Overall, the stay was consistently pleasant and comfortable.

Stayed at Meriton Suites Pitt Street Sydney and had a generally comfortable experience with a few areas that could be improved. The location is excellent—very convenient for getting around the city, shopping, and dining. The room itself is spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen which had everything needed for a longer stay. I also appreciated the balcony and the bathtub, which added a nice touch of relaxation after a long day out. However, considering the price, the overall value felt slightly lacking. The rates are on the higher side, and I did notice that the bathtub cleanliness could be improved, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the facilities and convenience still make it a decent choice for those who prefer apartment-style accommodation in the heart of Sydney. With some improvements in cleanliness and pricing, it would be an even better stay.

We traveled to Sydney over NYE, so choices were limited as I booked quite late. Limited in the sense of price / quality. I think Meriton was a good alternative with also a decent view on the firework. Since I went by boat on 9pm firework I didn’t need to be close for the midnight one (personal choice) Reception was superb, we got the room already at around 12:30. Very friendly staff. We were in Tower 3, so had to walk quite a bit indoors to get there. But getting out is easy, the tower has a separate entry / exit. Overall, that was the summary: • Spacious family-friendly apartments with very large rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows • Stunning views from the third tower, including a clear view all the way to the Harbour Bridge on New Year’s Eve • Excellent location with direct metro access, major shopping malls within walking distance, and great breakfast cafés nearby We stayed here as a family over New Year’s Eve and had a fantastic experience. While it was not cheap, the space, views, and connectivity more than justify the price, making it an excellent base for exploring Sydney comfortably.

On the plus side: we upgraded ourselves to a village suite and the size was spacious. Breakfast was fabulous and something to look forward to, although 7am start is a bit late for us.. Most of the staff were lovely and well trained. Room was cosy and quiet at night. Fresh towels and clean bathroom. Easy and convenient location outside of CBD. This is the only big hotel in the area and there are some great restaurants nearby - Carmela, Margaret, Bill’s etc. usefully close to Chemist Warehouse for essentials you’ve forgotten. On the negative: It should be classed as 4* - quite cheaply constructed and maintained. Not what you might consider to be luxury. Rooms are dark,  with poorly thought out lighting; the carpet rarely vacuumed (if at all) during our five night stay. Hand held shower head spray nozzles were blocked, bathtub drain was also blocked. Sinks not very clean. Windows in room and dining room very dirty. Big construction site adjacent so we moved rooms to get away from the noise and view of the cranes. Overpriced hotel offering when you consider we could have booked the Capella in CBD at nearly the same rate as our suite, but nice to be away from the city.

Great value for money, right on George Street! The room was very spacious and came with a washing machine and dryer, which was fantastic for the price. **Cleanliness:** The room was very clean, but do keep in mind that as a serviced apartment, it doesn't get daily cleaning. **Facilities:** It has a small kitchen, fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, and even dish soap. **Location:** Being on George Street is super convenient. You can easily hop on the 'Ding Ding' tram or just walk to explore. **Service:** The front desk staff were very polite and always greeted me proactively.

Beautiful hotel to visit in the city and staffs are very kind and nice. Very short distance to Barangaroo reserve, perfect place to stroll after dinner.
