"Nice hotel. Usually good value for the price, except when they are almost full, then it can get expensive. But most of the time good value for money. Staff are very polite and amiable and most of the rooms are clean and comfortable. A few rooms are a little rough and dated but they are slowly being renovated. All round great hotel."

"Great location, beautiful room, fantastic amenities. Got upgraded to a larger suite which was awesome. Enjoyed our stay.  Only bit that was a bit disappointing was that the bed was left unmade and had to call for service to get this done. All sorted in the end. We had a beautiful time. Thank you"

"The location is fantastic, located by the Darling Harbour, you can reach the Aquarium and Darling Harbour within 3-5 minutes. You can also access Sydney CBD (QVB etc.) easily. For the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Despite I didn't request a daily room cleaning service, they tidied my room every day. If you don't want to have such service, you can definitely require not to too. The view of my room is amazing, you can enjoy the view of Darling Harbour. And one more thing which I found quite important is that the room has a perfect soundproof. Since it's winter in August, it's quite cold in Sydney. The lobby has very warm temperature and cozy vibe. However, the room's air conditioning didn't provide a warm temperature that I satisfied, the room temperature remains between 18-20 °C during our stay, it would be perfect if it's like 23-25 °C. And this was the only down side I can think of, other than that, I had a perfect stay!"

Amazing
GGuest UserMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3. The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”. Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review. 1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels. 2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative. 3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious. 4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable. Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

Great
GGuest UserGreat location and overall an amazing stay, but soundproofing could be much better. Take note that there are rooms without the balcony , which I should have asked prior checking in. The hotel is in a fantastic location — very convenient and accessible, which made exploring the area super easy. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. However the housekeeping service, the blanket’s sheets were removed by us but she just left on the floor instead of cleaning it up and the vanity kit was not restored. (I’m not entirely sure how is housekeeping like in AUS, but it’s not the best) That said, the walls are extremely thin, and noise was a consistent issue throughout. You can hear people talking and walking in the hallway, the housekeeping trolley rolling by, and even the closing of nearby doors, which is surprisingly loud and jarring. The other rooms are very close to each other, so you can even hear the other rooms alarm(which kept snoozing 3 times from 7am) the doors do not have a soft close to when it closes it keeps banging— it gets disruptive. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this might be something to keep in mind. But if you’re okay with a bit of background noise, the hotel still offers great value in a prime location. REMEMBER to ask if there’s any renovation works happening prior to booking (we had ours on the last day and the drilling was so loud)

DDunwoA conflicting resort —First the positives— Location in the rocks is perfect View to the opera house is great Beds are soft Food is good —The negatives — Amenities were a bit barren Robes were thread bare The shampoo is locked into the shower so good luck using it for a bath, had to pump some into a glass which felt cheap I got double charged for room service and took awhile to get sorted The bar food is significantly worse then the room service — Summary — Honestly a good hotel for the view and location, id be tempted to try other hotels in similar braxkets next time if only for the annoying little issues that felt out of place for the hotels look. If you have an opera house view room its much nicer to just dine in at your room and enjoy the view Dont pay card for dine in at the door, i did that and on check out it looked unpaid, so best to just pay it out on check out to save the emails back and forth headache

XXuhua1283The hotel is located in the city center's commercial district, with convenient access to public transportation, a large W supermarket, and numerous restaurants nearby for dining, shopping, and getting around. The rooms are new and exceptionally clean, with well-vacuumed carpets. The down comforters and pillows are light and warm, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The electric blackout curtains are a nice touch. The bathroom has a strong and comfortable hot water flow (though there's no non-slip mat in the shower, and the tiles can be a bit slippery, so be careful. It would be perfect if the hotel provided non-slip mats for the showers). The room rate includes a double breakfast, and the buffet breakfast on the second floor is plentiful. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, making for a very quiet night's sleep. As a Ctrip Gold member, I was able to check out without a room inspection.

AAnonymous UserThis is an unbeatable choice for a family trip. The room layout is excellent, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, very convenient for a family of four. The room amenities are perfect: a washer-dryer combo, plenty of hangers, an oven, a microwave, and a full set of pots, pans, spatulas, cutting boards, and a dishwasher. They even provided Vitamin C! The hotel lobby has many board games, a coffee machine, and tea, making it a great place for kids to relax and have fun while waiting. The location is also ideal, about 800m from a large supermarket where you can buy fruits and other groceries. It's also a walkable 1.1km to the Cathedral, Hyde Park, the Australian Museum, and more, which is quite acceptable. Since it was Christmas, the hotel even gave us candies and socks, which was a very sweet gesture. If I ever come back to Sydney, I will definitely choose this place again.

王伊丽Overpriced hotel. Room and bathroom were spacious but dusty. A lot of dust everywhere so I will definitely not recommend this hotel to customers with dust allergy. Refilling tea, coffe bags etc not everyday. Room looks like from last century 50's - about time for the renovation. Great location so I guess the price is only connect to the location.

PpornphunWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!

JJohnstonOn the plus side: we upgraded ourselves to a village suite and the size was spacious. Breakfast was fabulous and something to look forward to, although 7am start is a bit late for us.. Most of the staff were lovely and well trained. Room was cosy and quiet at night. Fresh towels and clean bathroom. Easy and convenient location outside of CBD. This is the only big hotel in the area and there are some great restaurants nearby - Carmela, Margaret, Bill’s etc. usefully close to Chemist Warehouse for essentials you’ve forgotten. On the negative: It should be classed as 4* - quite cheaply constructed and maintained. Not what you might consider to be luxury. Rooms are dark,  with poorly thought out lighting; the carpet rarely vacuumed (if at all) during our five night stay. Hand held shower head spray nozzles were blocked, bathtub drain was also blocked. Sinks not very clean. Windows in room and dining room very dirty. Big construction site adjacent so we moved rooms to get away from the noise and view of the cranes. Overpriced hotel offering when you consider we could have booked the Capella in CBD at nearly the same rate as our suite, but nice to be away from the city.
