"Walked out onto the balcony and we were met with these stunning views.
The time that we visited (May) meant that it was slightly too cold to be out on the balcony for too long, but the views that we enjoyed out of the window were magnificent.
When the first arrived the lady on the front desk was very friendly, and helpful.
We had asked for a double bed and had been allocated two single beds. She quickly contacted the ladies from house keeping and they very kindly sprung into action to help rectify the situation.
The housekeeping staff were nice and pleasant, and the location was just right for us to get out and about visiting some of the local attractions like the Kiwi birdlife park.
The big plus about staying at the highview apartments was having a parking space. When you visit queenstown you'll soon find out that in some places finding a parking space is like gold dust."

"The balcony is very French. The room smells like bbq though. Ventilation is a good thing unless we are just across the street from fergberger... Told the staff we want away from the buzzling restaurants, got reassured by the receptionist that we are indeed away from the restaurants, bot when we got to the room and boom it was facing the restaurants. We are not the type of person who go down the stairs to change rooms. The receptionist was very talkative and confident. I dont want to be rude but she kind of gave us a vibe of snake oil sales man... Pardon my French."

I had an excellent stay at the Cambridge Hotel. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a great city view from the balcony.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
The facilities were also impressive, especially the indoor pool and overall cleanliness of the hotel. Everything felt well-maintained and welcoming.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

The location of this hotel is very good. It is right in the center of the town and you can walk to the most beautiful shore in three minutes. Anyway, it's convenient to go anywhere. The only problem is that you may have to look for parking on the roadside. The hotel room is really big, and the equipment and speakers inside are very good. It's also close to a bar, so it's a bit noisy at night. Everything in the refrigerator is free except alcohol, and there are unlimited refills. For breakfast, it is beautifully prepared on site downstairs. I remember that the big breakfast was about 30 New Zealand dollars. It is worth commenting and worth staying at.

Anonymous UserThe location is convenient, with supermarkets, shopping malls, and restaurants all within walking distance. However, it is about a 20-minute drive to Queenstown town centre. Parking is shared with the shopping mall, but we did not encounter any issues finding a space. Overall, the hotel is good in terms of cleanliness, location, and amenities.
For service, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. During check-out, there was no staff at the reception, and no one responded when we called for assistance. As we were rushing to catch a domestic flight, this was quite frustrating. Fortunately, a cleaner happened to walk by and helped by knocking on the office door, after which a staff member finally came out. I don’t think this level of service should occur at a hotel of this standard.

Every place in New Zealand is beautiful and it is not recommended to stay at this hotel. There is no particularly high cost performance, not to say that the waiter's service attitude is not good, basically there is no waiter, a total of 10 rooms, simple geographical advantage.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this retreat. The place itself is absolutely spectacular — very calming, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking views. The deck is stunning, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
The owners were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay. Their hospitality genuinely stood out. The dogs were lovely and added so much warmth to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the variety of teas available was out of this world.
As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for, which is something I value highly. The atmosphere is peaceful and nurturing — exactly what you want from a retreat.
The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the shops (around a one-hour walk). However, this was easily managed as Uber is only a 6-minute drive, and the hosts were also kind enough to offer lifts when possible.
Overall, an absolutely stunning place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay
