Honestly, the experience started out okay. The hotel view is wonderful, the room is spacious, and the air conditioning works perfectly. However, small details during the stay made the experience quite bad.
First, let's start: breakfast. A very mediocre breakfast with few options. The bread all looked like it was ”yesterday's,” the cold cuts and fruits looked bad, and there was no option for cream cheese, for example, just butter and a jam that would kill even non-diabetics because it was so sweet. Furthermore, the breakfast room is too small for the guests' needs, and the staff, in my opinion, is not capable of handling the number of guests. It was a given that every day, the staff had to split their time between three people to refill the coffee, clean the tables, and meet the customers' demands, which, consequently, meant that something was left behind. The balcony coffee area was extremely poorly organized. They put three tables and chairs there, and everything else was forgotten, except for the leaks on the table...
The room, while spacious, had cracks in the ceiling. The shower stall was in a state of disrepair, loose and very easy to injure anyone. Every day we preferred to shower with it ajar to avoid handling it and potentially breaking it and/or injuring ourselves. The bathroom smelled awful, too; it stank of sewage, and on the second-to-last day, we found a dead cockroach next to it...
Regarding the staff, aside from the constant sales attempts, most of them were friendly. Unlike the guests who practically run you over and don't say hello, the staff are polite. But that's okay, just a detail of the type of clientele the Casa Blanca chain attracts.
The biggest problem arose right at the end of my stay. On March 8th, I noticed a white skirt missing from my room, likely removed along with the bedding by the cleaning staff. I immediately reported it to reception, but was told they couldn't check with the appropriate department until the next day.
Today, March 9th, the last day of our stay, we conducted a thorough search, searching our bags, clothes, and every corner of the room, without success. When we questioned reception again, they not only stated that the hotel was not responsible and would not offer any solution, but also asked if I had any proof of what had happened. This was utter disrespect, given that the minimum expected of a hotel is to ensure the safety of guests' belongings during their stay. The establishment's indifference and lack of commitment demonstrate unacceptable neglect.
Bottom line: it's a good hotel due to its location, but it's not the only hotel in the area. It's worth paying more for a place that offers decent coffee and more attention to guests.
The hotel was ok, I little bit run down but clean and the staff was helpful. It is well located with everything you need nearby. The breakfast was simple but had all the basic. A few ”mishaps” were the elevator door that wouldn't close (they fixed it quickly) and the shower dropping some water which woke me up, but then I closed it tighter and it was alright.I would have no problem staying in there again if I was in a budget.
The hotel has a great breakfast, excellent service, excellent location and a wonderful view of the city!

GGuest UserLocated a block from the beach, no real view of the ocean. Web page says no parking available, but upon further inquiry learned that 'rotating' parking is available, which means that if you snag a parking spot (valet) on check in and you do not move your car, you're good, but if you use your vehicle you might have lost your spot on return and be forced to find a (very rare) street slot or pay for optional private parking. That is a HUGE deficiency for a 19 story hotel. Room was fine, albeit a bit spartan. Towels were grey from age. Hot water marginal. Shower had slick floor and no hand holds. Wi-fi good. Mini fridge (empty) and safe. A/c worked fine. Staff appeared friendly and forthcoming, but when I requested an additional pillow, the desk clerk said he'd get it done, but never did and there are no instructions on the room phone to call the front desk. Breakfast is ok, but nothing to write home about either (no tapioca, cut up hot dogs instead of bacon or carne do sol, not even a banana, but other fruits, and fresh bread, pao com queixo without queixo . . .) Easy walking distance to the beach and several quality off-beach restaurants, such as Ghellers churrascaria. For someone looking for a reasonably priced and adequate hotel near the beach, this works fine. If needing just an overnight, look further away from the beachfront and be careful about the parking issue if driving a car.

AAna Rita Dias de Souza Barros BarrosHOTEL BEM LOCALIZADO, COM RESTAURANTE BOM E CAFÉ DA MANHÃ ECXXELENTE. A ESTRUTURA DO HOTEL É BOA, PORÉM NÃO FOI DISPONOIBILIZADO TODOS OS ITENS DE COZINHA INFORMADOS NA RESERVA, COMO MICROONDAS E CHALEIRA ELÉTRICA. O APARTAMENTO É ESPAÇOSO, CAMA CONFORTÁVEL E CHUVEIRO EXCELENTE. NO GERAL VALEU A PENA, INCLUSIVE O CUSTO BENEFÍCIO. RECOMENDO.
GGuest UserAn absolute gem of a hotel in Canoa Quebrada. Everyone is friendly, kind, and helpful. The garden is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast offers many options and is delicious. The room has A/C and is comfortable and quiet. It's also walking distance to the beach and to Broadway. You really can't ask for more when traveling.
AAntoinette McveighHotel was in a good location just beside the beach.. breakfast was very nice every morning.. good service, friendly staff.. the only thing was there was some bugs in the room.
